John Elway is the greatest QB I've ever seen, and I've been watching since 1977. He could snatch victory from the jaws of certain defeat. He was so good that he carried so-so teams all the way to the Super Bowl, only to be destroy by truly monster NFC teams. Imagine him playing in today's league. If Elway had Brady's luxurious situation all his years, Elway would own every record. Honestly, the only talent I've seen that truly rival's Elway is Mahommes. But Elway had a stronger arm. Both share an uncanny ability to avoid the rush. What's truly awesome about Elway's career, however, is the drama behind his story. Three humiliating losses that completely depressed all of Denver and Colorado for a decade. Then he ends his career with back-to-back championships and a Super Bowl MVP. There's no better story of redemption in all of NFL history. His first championship also broke the NFC's 13 year domination in the Super Bowl. It was hard to build teams back then because free agency had not yet taken off. It kicked into high gear shortly after that game. Those were great years. Go Broncos. Let's make some new memories!
I’m so glad that we went receiver receiver in the first and second round. I’ve been watching the Broncos for years every game faithfully and I thought that that was going to be the best move for us. But I thought that there was no way that we were going to do that. Now that Elway has done that I am an even bigger fan!
Thanks for bringing up "The Drive" there Rich! Like we Browns fans haven't had to see it and hear about it enough. Why didn't you turn the knife and ask about "The fumble"? or just for grits and giggles, ask Elway about "Red Right 88" or "The Shot"? Thanks Pal
He has drafted very good really. He has been mostly criticized with no QB after Peyton. Finding a stud QB isn’t a very easy task, especially when not constantly drafting top 5.
@@TheJohnnystockman Brock - next 2 QBs Wilson Foles. Sylvester Williams with Frederick and Ertz going soon after. Montee Ball - Lacy, Kelce soon after. Shane Ray - #1 bust. Lynch - #1 bust. @@broncodeviltexas Brock and foles aren't very different two back up QBs that were very important during a Superbowl winning season... And saying Lacy over ball is a joke they both busted out
He has had a couple good seasons with average QB's as an offensive coordinator. If everything he touched turned bad he wouldn't have had a job in the NFL with multiple different teams.
@@nickthetool21 That's not true. Countless head coaches get jobs that absolutely suck. They get hired because they interview well, maybe have connections with a front office, or like Sherman, took credit from head coaches that had a system in place that he benefited from
@@kingdomcitizenship5613 Did the coaches benefit from him or did he benefit from the coaches? Most coaches that get a job with multiple different teams have at least done some things right in order to stay in the league.
How does it get any better??
The Great John Elway being interviewed by mr Rich Eisen!!
That was awesome!!!
Go Broncos!!
Thanks Rich Eisen
Great show by the way. Elway was the best QB I've ever seen. We hated him and completely admired how great he was.
Elway is the man!! I love hearing all time greats reminisce... classic! Thanks Rich and John!
Packers vs Broncos was the first Super Bowl I ever watched
The super bowl that made me a bronco fan for life. 💯
@@KA-ww3qb Same here! Go Broncos!!!

Mahomes isn't that fast, either...I was surprised to find out he runs about a 4.9.
BRONCOS COUNTRY!! Best fans in the 🌎!!! 💪🏼👊🏼🔒in!!

That was a nice moment there at the end where john is reminiscing.
Elway will become a GOD if Drew wins a SB
He's already a God, fool!!! Pay homage!!! Repent!!!

I feel like John was throwing shade at Sanders by stumbling over his name. He knows that man's name
Tanner Deaton Elway forgets names all the time. It’s not personal.
Drew Lock going for 5000 yards next season
🐴🐓🔒
Zion McFarland make it 7000 and you got a deal
I’m not a pterodactyl I promise lol I doubt it but I wish that would happen
The goat
Rich looked like he started when Elway cut out lol
If Drew Lock win a Super Bowl, John Elway will instantly transform into an actual god in Denver
Does Peyton and Von cancel out the too many to mention draft blunders? Not to mention coaching choices. Even with Lock I'd be calling Green Bay.
I think the Superbowl victory does that actually... Add in the last 3 drafts being very solid we are an up and coming team.

bronco devil Shane wasn’t a bust imo just a decent pass rusher

Just keep Peter King off here and content is great!!!
Aaron Rodgers trade?
Eric Neal no.
What about Pat Shumur makes them think he can help any team? Everything that guy touches goes bad. Bad hire

Elway, why did you let Emanual Sanders go for peanuts??? Sanders is arguably the most dominant WR in the league.
lmao not even close. he has maybe one season of average play left. His trade turned into AJ Bouye and McTelvin Agim. Hardly peanuts
