@@susivarga7303aren’t they part of the Walter family? I missed that point like they’re their cousins?? they’re not even Spanish and where’s their mom then😭?
@@BoulmedaisJenna Lee and Isaac are cousins from the father's side, it's mentioned in E1. I guess their mother is the Dad's sister. And they are ( their Dad is ) definitely from a Hispanic country, they just never clarified which one and why he is away, possibly work.
The award ceremony scene with Jackie and Cole where he tells her "To go back to New York, I wish you've never come here" tell me why we're still shipping this couple bc why in the f*ck would someone say something like that?? After their whole fam just died...
I think people compare Cole and Conrad because they're both the older brother and have the "brooding" thing going on but like #1 Conrad's "brooding" is grief over the fact that his mom is literally dying/dead, Cole has a broken leg. If anything Conrad is more like Alex, given that they're both nerdy types (even though its 2 diff kinds of nerdy) and Cole is more like Jeremiah, with the whole popular, life of the party, hooks up with different people thing. Its kind of how ppl compare them with TVD too saying Conrad is Damon and Jeremiah is Stefan like nooo its quite literally the opposite
Frfr the fact that people try to compare Conrad and Cole pisses me off because Conrad is grieving over his mom dying of cancer and also he was the only one that knew that she was dying & had to keep it a secret from everyone and the burden of that is so hard. It's no wonder he is closed off and brooding , like don't get me wrong Coles situation sucks but it's not comparable ! Maybe conrads storyline hits me harder because my dad passed of cancer but Cole getting hurt doesn't excuse his actions for cheating , and being a player. I would agree that Cole is the Jeremiah of the series
None of the Fisher boys are like Cole lol. Jeremiah is also grieving his mom too and is recovering from that. And Jere never messes with friends or played anybody's feelings. Cole is just terrible 😭😭
@@melodynix7470 honestly i don’t think they’re alike either i was more aligning what traits are somewhat similar in them, like if i HAD to compare the characters to each other imo jer and cole are more alike than cole and con, i was also kind of referencing tsitp in s1 as mlwtwb is only on its 1st season
@@xmultishipperx7206 exactly as sm who also had a parent with cancer (my mom coincidentally) i understand conrad’s mindset and reasoning so much more and its kind of why i give him a lot of grace when he messes up. and yes cole’s situation sucks and its sad but it doesn’t justify all of the things he’s done, some of them i can understand bc at the end of the day he’s a 16yo who’s immature, it’s easy to forget the characters are supposed to be young esp when you watch these shows as an adult
@@melodynix7470 I wasn't saying that Jeremiah is exactly like Cole but if I had to choose which one was more like him it would be Jeremiah because of his player , partier personalty since that's what Jeremiah was portrayed as in season 1. Of course I do agree that Jeremiah was also grieving but some of his animosity towards Conrad and blaming belly for everything was messed up , again he is grieving and all of them messed up in the show but Jeremiah did some things where I was like uh no sir
Yes Danny was the most stable Walter brother - emotionally stable, has goals that he goes for, kind, doesn’t go after his brother’s former girlfriend just cuz she may or may not be flirting with him. Solid person.
Girl, are you okay? After watching the clips through your video, I felt like I lost all of my DAMN BRAIN CELLS because of this series 💀 STAY STRONG, WE LOVE YOU❤❤❤
One problem that I have with the show is that Jackie barely seems depressed about the fact that her entire family has tragically died, aside from one nightmare, nor the fact that she has to move halfway across the country to stay with complete strangers.
I mean I don't really know about that cz we all have different types of grieving. Once I lost my best friend I couldn't cry for like a whole 2 weeks cz it was just so shocking, so I just kept on going like nothing happened, but I get your point
Well something that we all need to understand and accept is that 1: it’s based on a watt pad story and 2: everyone handles grief differently. You guys want her to be crying every time however, just because she wasn’t balling her eyes out every second in every episode doesn’t mean that she wasn’t still heartbroken. Everyone shows their emotions differently, and you can’t change that. Some people keep it all bottled up inside, some people get emotional here and there, and some people are emotional wrecks everyday. You can’t force someone to be emotional either, nor can you want them to be. Jackie is most likely someone who keeps her emotions to herself until she’s alone which is when she does kind of let it out which is totally okay and normal. Now let me ask…..would any of you truly want to see her balling her eyes out in each episode? I don’t think you would. Plus we have to remember that life goes on, yes it’s heartbreaking that she lost her family however crying every single day isn’t gonna help or do anything….life still goes on, and life has to go on. I’m sure Jackie’s family wouldn’t want her to be crying over them everyday….they would want her to continue living her life.
I haven't watched this nor do I plan to, but its always so funny to me when the new girl shows up, and the "bad boy" already has a gf that he immediately ditches without any second thought. Cause like imagine you get the hottest, most popular guy in school and some quirky girl who wears fucking grey all the time makes your bf forget about you ASDFGHJHG ID JUST KMS
They definitely told the actors to watch TVD to study for their roles 😭 cause even Jackie was tryna give Elena Gilbert like babe you will never be her…
Conrad is definitely NOTHING like Cole and it literally angers me when people say he is. The whole thing about Conrad is that previously to his mom getting cancer (or him learning about it) he WASN'T an asshole to Belly, like he was always the sweet caring one. The summer we first start the show on Belly is confused as to why Conrad is suddenly rude and a womanizer is because he had always been kind. Plus, he would never ever ever treat Jeremiah like how Cole treated Alex, like he literally asked for Jeremiah's permission to date Belly and only really got with her when he thought Jeremiah was okay.
It's because we only see the new version of Conrad (the asshole one that learned of his mother's cancer), but don't see the old, nicer Conrad for ourselves, and only hear about it from Belly.
it was like they focused on too many side plots but not the shit that mattered. the only side plots that make sense to have is jackie’s family history (which they showed none of) and maybe a more detailed story of why the two love interests hated each other, the rest of the other shit did NOT matter
I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this style of video from you. please do more of this review style video if you want to, it was fun to watch and helps me indirectly watch shows i will never watch with my own time lmao
Cole is a junior because he is “older” than Alex and Alex is a sophomore with Jackie. When Cole’s boss said he had 2 years ahead of him it was because he had just started junior year.
Funnily enough, my younger brother was a football player hoping to get scouted his senior year and played barely two games before he also had a career ending knee injury. He was so distraught over it because he genuinely planned his entire future around being a college athlete. Eventually he tried to do exercise sciences before he decided he had a stronger passion for criminal justice studies. Cole brooding is understandable but if he’s only a sophomore, he’s definitely got enough time to be grateful to his parents paying for the surgery, the fact that he can walk at all without severe pain, and find a new passion.
I do think this show was the most accurate of a wattpad book. It makes no sense, the pacing is rushed, so many plot holes, the dialogue, cliche. N a part of me loves it for that.
Honestly, I watched this show in 2 days. Don't know why, don't come for me lmaooo. But, honestly, I agree with you about Alex. I liked him at first but man.. he gave off such creepy energy. When he said I love you, I CRINGED so hard, I couldn't handle it anymore.
9:10 he is a junior. Alex: “someone who peaked their SOPHMORE year of high school.” Jackie is a sophmore, also Alex and Nathan. And also Isaac and Lee. Cole and Danny are juniors.
Okay, but seriously, Louisa May Alcott (yah know, Little Women?) literally did this trope 150 years ago (adopted sister falls in love with brothers love triangle thing) and it’s SO GOOD. “Eight Cousins” followed by “Rose in Bloom.” Bette than a wattpad story, fr.
This show was messsyyy but messy shows are my guilty pleasure 🤭 So it speaks volumes that I didn’t force myself to finish this show. I swear the older I get the lower my tolerance for trash gets 🗑️😬 Glad to have you as a filter 🥲
first of all, why are most of the people so rude to her like bro. her family is 6 FEET UNDER. second, I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be their ADOPTED SISTER.
They really just threw every hallmark teen movie trope in there and called it a day -two brothers ✅ -in debt farm owners ✅ -dead family✅ Like… calm down
This Wattpad is based off a Kate Bryan book called Megan Meade’s Guide to the McGowan Boys but in the book Megan moves in with the family because her parents are in the services and are stationed overseas and she stays in the US to finish school so she’s not their adoptive sister for starters. Second she’s not supposed to be grieving the loss of her family but instead in a love triangle. Third, there’s only 7 sons and they are all high school age or younger and it really only focuses on Megan and the 2 guys she’s in a triangle with and the school kids. I also don’t remember the brothers hating each other but maybe I’m wrong. I loved it when I read it in high school/college and I’ve always wanted it to be a show, like attempted to write a adapted script myself a few times and I’m so fucking pissed this version made it over the original material.
8:16 COLE IS SUCH A CORNBALL BROOO 21:34 NO I LOVE DANNY I really hope they do something with him and homegirl 22:28 THATS WHAT I SAID! 24:36 OOOH SHE ATE IN THIS SCENE The only reason why I started watching the show was because the mom is Sarah Rafferty (Donna from Suits) LMAOOO I love her and wanted to see her in more stuff
I watched this show in 1.5x speed in the background while I was making flow charts, and I still couldn’t handle it. The people who have sat down and watched the show in its entirety have my respect.
I hated the whole thing with Cole and Alex being at odds, especially with Paige because they truly DESPISE each other, like at this point they don’t even act like brothers, at least Conrad and Jeremiah from TSITP actually got along and actually acted like brothers….to an extent. But even if they did fight, they always made up like actual brothers. Also Alex, please lets use our brains honey, because common sense isn’t common anymore, if your brother has been away all summer and you haven’t told him about your girlfriend and a girl comes on to you at a party while you’ve been drinking. Like I’m not trying to justify cheating but I would cringe everytime Alex brought it up. Also I love how we are going after the person she cheated with instead of the cheater, especially when Cole didn’t know about the relationship. And look its not because Paige is a girl and I’m just being “toxic”, because I know damn well that if the roles were reversed everyone would go after the supposed homewrecker instead of the person who actually cheated. Thank you for reading my rant, also I know its a lot of reading but can I say your hair was absolutely GORGEOUS, it was serving I kept getting distracted I was like damn she’s so pretty 🤩 I don’t mean that to be creepy just saying.
Also I hated Alex he gave me the ick, like I also have a brother named Alex and I had to remind that Alex Walter is fictional and not all Alexs are like this, I had to tell myself “they’re both different people”, it made me question my own brother and it was really sad that’s how you know you’ve hit rock bottom sis 🫡

@@ScarlettR-0666 same, every time he smiled I was like 🤢🤢🤢
@@netflixpartyyAlex never cheated on anyone

Cole- knee injury at 15

okay so the fact that she left Alex so fast for Cole after Alex told her he LOVED her for a TEACUP im dead on the floor
One problem that I have with the show is that Jackie barely seems depressed about the fact that her entire family has tragically died, aside from one nightmare, nor the fact that she has to move halfway across the country to stay with complete strangers.
why are you everywhere i'm crying (lighthearted)
I mean I don't really know about that cz we all have different types of grieving. Once I lost my best friend I couldn't cry for like a whole 2 weeks cz it was just so shocking, so I just kept on going like nothing happened, but I get your point
But anyhow, the show is like a wattpad story from like 2013
Waiittt it was actually writeen on wattpad in 2014, now I get why it was so shitty. And here I was, defending the freaking girl
Alex reminds me of Jughead saying "I'm a weirdo"
"because you're from the upper east side and i like fantasy novels"🙃😂😂
“I dont fit in and i dont wanna fit in”
Not the upper east side and i read fantasy novel i m crying
The way this is a watt pad romance from 2014 that got turned into a book then a show 😭😭😭
I haven't watched this nor do I plan to, but its always so funny to me when the new girl shows up, and the "bad boy" already has a gf that he immediately ditches without any second thought. Cause like imagine you get the hottest, most popular guy in school and some quirky girl who wears fucking grey all the time makes your bf forget about you ASDFGHJHG ID JUST KMS
In his defence it was an open relationship, he was f-ing around unbothered and the "gf" had serious daddy issues.
@@susivarga7303how does that make it any better💀
@@nnnn-sc2im
Arguing with facts huh? Skull emoji. Yeah, very original.
This is like TSITP without the brothers having a lick of charisma. They make the Fisher brothers look so mature. Leave it to TSITP and TVD PLEASE!!
Cole has charisma but the writing is bad and his counterpart Alex is weak.
Can we talk about how hard the Cole actor is trying to be Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) with literally every expression and is failing miserably?
It's because we only see the new version of Conrad (the asshole one that learned of his mother's cancer), but don't see the old, nicer Conrad for ourselves, and only hear about it from Belly.
cole was a junior, that’s why alex said that comment about cole peaking his sophomore year
They also mentioned he was 2y away from college.
@@susivarga7303counting junior yr it would be 2
it was like they focused on too many side plots but not the shit that mattered. the only side plots that make sense to have is jackie’s family history (which they showed none of) and maybe a more detailed story of why the two love interests hated each other, the rest of the other shit did NOT matter
completely agree, this show should’ve included flashbacks both of jackie’s old life and the cole and alex drama!!

Cole is a junior because he is “older” than Alex and Alex is a sophomore with Jackie. When Cole’s boss said he had 2 years ahead of him it was because he had just started junior year.
Danny was just the best brother. I would have picked him if I were Jackie.
After you said Alex was giving jughead I just thought about Cole saying I’m a weirdo in riverdale 🤣🤣

I loved it when I read it in high school/college and I’ve always wanted it to be a show, like attempted to write a adapted script myself a few times and I’m so fucking pissed this version made it over the original material.

idk…. 😬
