For me the dubs always feel like there are a sort of disconnection between the characters, the scene and the dialogue (which is like duh since it’s a dub). The subs a lot of the times can deliver the scene and its emotions way better. The voice also won’t be like weird and doesn’t fit the character at all.

I know in this series the relationship is heavily romanticised , when it’s just point blank wrong. Even though the girl is a Teenager, she’s still a child (you‘ll realize that when you’re older, I promise) and brains aren’t fully developed until you’re 25. This teacher is twice her age and is abusing his power (there’s also a power imbalance since she is younger and has less life experience and people are more likely to believe an adult rather than a child) . There’s a song called Teachers Pet by Melanie Martinez I recommend you to listen to and read through the comments under the music video. I really do hope it‘ll change your perspective.

This is that one show with cringey writing/Wattpad writing but the show is so not cringe. I genuinely loved it. Even the whole, he saves her at a party scenario that is good in books but not movies, i loved it. It was exactly what many wattpad movies are missing.
Swede here who grew up with watching a lot of content in different languages I just couldn't with the dub. Even the sub in english I was struggling with because some words it wasn't translating it well enough for me. Swedish and German have a lot of similarities so maybe that's why, but I would recommend watching it in German with sub it's better than the dub.
