Regarding donating the shoes I think you are talking about a clothing bank where people can go and pick up a limited amount of clothing for free. Usually these clothing banks are run by a church that has a social outreach program. They are very worthy helpful programs.

Clothes that are moldy smelling can be washed with 1/2cup of vinegar takes smell out still wearable
