Yes you can certainly use this toaster for toasting bread slices, it does have auto pop up but as the size of toaster is big, the bread does not comes out of toaster
If the toaster won’t popout atleast will that turn off automatically ???

I think Philips HD 2583 is not a pop up toaster but Philips HD 2582 is a pop up toaster. pls correct me if I m wrong

This is a great toaster... but couldn't find how to clean the bottom... I was struggling to reach it to the bottom of the toaster. After seing thi video I came to know that there is a drawable bottom in the toaster...

I bought this and I wouldn’t recommend to buy this
1. Doesn’t have an auto pop up feature
2. No indicators to see if it’s on or off
3. The grill rack burnt my fingers

cant use grated cheese ..else it will fall down to toaster . the veggies have to cut into big slices and not small diced

I could accept that these extra sandwich feature will not work well and is suitable for use only time to time, but Philips managed to make toaster that is also bad at doing it's main task - to simply toast slices of bread, as they will not pop out traditionally lime all other toasters do, instead you have to put them into stupid metal cages, and then remove them, being careful not to touch hot metal and making mess all around while doing it, absolutely stupid design. If I wanted to cook sandwiches I would buy a device specifically designed for that. Absolute rubbish.
