I think you’re making a big mistake. A $75,000 mistake even. Look at the 1 month candle chart. Crypto is going to pull back over the next couple months. I hope I’m wrong though for your sake. I have no crypto positions.

Wouldn't GBTC be a better choice if you're looking for something to closely follow bitcoin? Also, your timing actually is pretty good for your viewers at least, since most will be watching this after the recent dip.
Sometimes you have to take the fall for your viewers :) GBTC would be good, but it's not available on all platforms since it is not listed on any stock exchange, GBTC is an OTC product. Also, the shares would cost 2% a year in management fees. Once there is a bitcoin ETF, then that would be the best vehicle to use for a position like this.
The crypto concept may have merit but Bitcoin itself is not necessarily the best long term option. Just because it’s the biggest today doesn’t mean that that can’t change and change quickly. There are technical advantages to other cryptos, like Chia, for instance. Ultimately, Bitcoin’s ONLY moat is its brand. That’s all it has, nothing else. Hi, i have a question I see that your entire profolio is long on delta quite alot. What exactly is your strategy if we are undergoing a correction/ bear market?
As I'm going through now, stick it out! The time-sensitive option positions suffer the most because the recovery needs to happen quickly, but the share position can be held forever and is much less problematic.

Well, not all in :). In the house of pain right now for sure though! That's why I went super far out. I'm also looking to hedge short-term based on the bitcoin ETF announcements from the SEC, which will be in a few weeks. If a bitcoin ETF is approved, that could be detrimental to MSTR and I'd likely convert to the bitcoin ETF when it's listed.

As soon as I published I saw the Elon news. The good thing is bitcoin is bigger than one individual/organization. That's the point. And the energy consumption argument can easily be refuted. A majority of bitcoin mining consumption uses renewable energy. The world consumes 160,000 TWh per year (based on data from 2019) and it takes 120 TWh to run the entire bitcoin network per year. Lastly, bitcoin miners are incentivized to use renewable energy sources and reduce the costs of their operations, as their profitability depends on it. The miner who can get the cheapest energy wins. Is bitcoin perfect? No. But the energy argument is far from the evil thing the pundits would have you to believe.

I do own actual bitcoin. The reason for the play is this is an account I manage for family and cannot withdraw it all to put it into bitcoin.
