Huawei is one of the only phone companies that truly gets the concept of innovation. This instantly makes a phone like the pixel 3 look like a relic.

No, not everyone would like that because everytime you look at your phone to see the time it unlocks and u have to press the lock button everytime to lock it again.

It would be good for Google to team up with Huawei in design of the next Pixel. I find the Pixel 3 makes me want to vomit whenever I look at it. Yuck!

@@davedvdy4946 haha not the Kirin 980 in the Mate 20 series. Though the iPhone XS is extremely impressive in all areas ESPECIALLY it's performance regarding it's 4 gig RAM,(not sure how it keeps apps open better than 95% on smartphones) it still falls short in terms of speed, despite it's benchmark scores. This is because the Mate 20 Pro is optimized differently, (and the scores aren't too far off) and so its performance definitely proves itself more powerful than Apple's iPhone XS. Now this isn't biased at all. In fact, I am an apple sucker myself and as much as it pains me to say it, the Huawei mate 20 Pro is in fact surperior to the iPhones. But the iPhone XS isn't that much behind the Mate 20 series, and it's still one of the most powerful phones in the world. Snapdragon 845 was Android flagships' most popular and debatably the most powerful Android processor, which was why it was inferior to the iPhones, that is, until the Kirin 980 was announced. Sadly it is currently the most efficient processor in the world. Well, at least when combined with the engineering of the Mate 20 series.

This phone is a good mix of Samsung and Apple with all the extra features a lot of people want from other phone manufacturers. Good all rounder. I will probably get this but I feel the new memory card slot is like a back handed compliment.

This color reminds me of my green Sony Xperia Z5. Really nice color. And the texture cleverly solved the fingerprint problem while adds to the premium look. Shame on Apple and Samsung not thought about this and keep being fingerprint madness.

Thanks for the video. When you do your detail review, please report on the audio quality via headphones. Coming from an LG V30 and currently with an S9+, audio quality is great on those phones. Hope the Mate 20 can deliver in this area also. Cheers!

The display is just unreal in person cuz it actually looks like the renders 👍. The battery is 4200 in a small body. I love how the side bezels are much narrower than the Galaxy S9 which I own. It's so good that I would consider not having the 3.5mm Jack. Bluetooth Tech has really exploded in Improvement vs only pushed adoption. Still not a huge fan, usbc-c charged BT headphones without jackless-regret battery life won't be in choice abundance until late 2019 & I support the Galaxy S10 instead just for keeping it.
Was the price about $1100 for Mate 20 pro? This is by far the best designed phone in the world right now. Possibly best available phone until Galaxy S10/2019.
Regular mate 20 has a headphone jack.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 also comes with a case inside the box in Australia, but not too sure about other countries.

Just a small thing, the detail of texture in the box hast been there in previous Mate phones, I've had the Mate 8 and now the Mate 10 Pro and that texture is just the same as the one you show. Just now the box changed shape from the previous models.

This phone is F I R E, OLED with display fingerprint tech, and Samsung and Apple don't know how to do it? Huawei is leading again. I'm sticking with Huawei.
MICH ---- Apple uses Face ID, why would they want a fingerprint sensor? Fingerprint is not as secure, plus it's superfluous. The implementation is easy, it's just a chip from Qualcomm.
Fala Ai it's about giving your customers options especially at that price point. And why wouldn't anyone want to have options because it's Apple? Well the Mate 20 Pro shits on any iPhone. Their Max phone is nothing more than just a bigger device and that's it. We were waiting for this tech for so long and Huawei is finally giving us that. And it's cheaper you can't get it any better.
MICH ---- A12 is substantially faster SoC with a much faster GPU. Actually based on last quarter Huawei only had an ASP of $256. Very lowwww. Looks to me like they're shitting in their own pants. We'll see if they can actually sell any mate 20s. My guess is they won't get their ASP over $275, even in the Christmas quarter. By the way in that Christmas quarter Apple is due to sell 80 million iPhones with an ASP of over $800. Apple, still champions.
Fala Ai the A12 isn't much faster in daily performance than any Android phone with the Snapdragon 845. And that's not even a 7nm chip. The kirin 980 looks good in benchmarks so I really don't care about anything Apple these days. At least Huawei got their own chip and they optimize their software. As for the rest you clearly guessing how the sales will be but you can't know that yet. If people were smart they would leave the Max aside and go for something better. Huawei is a top 3 player in the world and that without the American market. I call that a win.
MICH ---- Isn't much faster? Bullshit, A12 is double the speed in single core performance compared to SD 845. To Huawei's credit, they went a different way and smoked the SD. Unfortunately, still way behind A12.
Any forecast is a guess, but watch what happens, I've made millions in the market, so I'm pretty good at it. Huawei could be in the American market if they wanted to pay Qualcomm for their expensive patents. Since Huawei doesn't sell many high-end phones maybe they can't afford it.
Please post the performance and the WIFI speed. Is it really 1400 Mbps?
