How do we get those other camps to work? I'm open to suggestions and the potential is here. Apex Bats: RDM or SAM on the outside of the camp killing Umbrils quickly while a THF/DNC/DRG annihilates the Bats in the center? A duo of RNGs could also clean house here as Trueflight closing a Light skillchain would probably wipe the Umbrils out and they still have regular physical moves for the Bats. Apex Bhoots: These seem like they'd suit MB setups but again will require Fusion or Light skillchains with appropriate burst spells. They do not have Perdition so nobody is dropping dead instantly. Apex Vodoriga: This camp just screams SAM to me, just have to find a way to get around their heightened evasion when they take flight.
I attempted this on my SAM with 200 JP's at the camp just past the Apex Cyhiraeths (corpselight floating heads) with 2 fomor dogs. Ruau wasn't joking about the accuracy. I was only able to make up the difference by bringing my wife's GEO using blaze of glory + Ecliptic Attrition on Geo -frailty and casting Indi-torpor for evasion down. I found the AoE paralyze to be quite strong so I went GEO/WHM to help with paralyna and blindna. As for trusts setup, I (SAM/WAR) went with no tank. Joachim, Ulmia, Koru-Moru, and Yoran-Oran. I would use seigan and third eye to voke pull with my -DT set. If I had already set up GEO buffs, then I would just tag with Dia 2 then switch over to Hasso and my highest accuracy tp set and usually x2 4 step SC's would usually kill it FUDO->KASHA->SHOHA->FUDO ending in double light without the aeonic great katana. This is with the Kaja ambuscade great katana, no REMA. The above setup is also assisted by barparalyzra and barblizzara (which I often would forget to cast) and Yoran's use of Afflatus Solace makes his cures enough. The only real danger is having his cures interrupted multiple times by strong paralyze. Also, never pull with low HP or you will aggro stuff and not likely survive. This is an amazing camp and with the CP bonus in effect at the time of this writing, it was very exciting to see this camp open. Thank you so much Ruaumoko, you are the man!
For Draugar camp you can also silence the mages and lullaby them if blood aggro gets out of hand. I CPed some people out there a couple of times, and can be definitely done stationary style. Blood aggro keeps bringing them to you so no need to move bubble. It is indeed a monk paradise, brings back those good ol KRT days.
Seeing those XP numbers as someone who stopped playing during the 75 cap era is mind boggling. Damn near 57 kills to get from level 1 - 75 if you could do it at that rate XD
I went with a random group to the poxhounds camp roughly a year ago, and it went really well (I was on cor), and I wondered why more people didn't use it. I went back with another group maybe a few weeks later, and the group was not prepared for the paralyzga and it was significantly slower (it's possible that was a by product of ppl not meeting the acc cap too). That ended up being the last time I went. You are definitely rolling the dice if you are going with randos, but the potential is absolutely there. Thanks Rua!
Dancer, additionally, can equip Frenzy Sallet; not only is their AoE healing good, but they can use that as a macro piece to damage themselves and wake themselves up from sleep so they can then heal everyone else.
While working on my RUN I made quick work of the Umbrils with a RNG partner. Downside was I had to swap to GA to open, but I would resist most of the ailments with the RNG being out of their AoE.
I have not dug through all the comments to see if this has been mentioned, but I can personally tell you that the Bhoots at 5:00 do in fact have the ability to use the instant KO TP move, Perdition, for they have murdered me and my friends with it before.
Thank you so much for the detailed information on weapon skills. It will be invaluable help in my job/gear/trust selection. I just passed through Inner Ra'Kaznar for the first while completing Adoulin Mission 5-3-2 in my SU2 Ninja. Immediately, realized the value of an unlimited supply of manageable Apex fights with great points. And the view is stunning. For the record, it took me two runs to get through to the Turris. On the second run, there wasn't another party in the place. I dont think you have to worry your cramping anyone's style, but I'm on the Sylph server and its kinda quiet. Kind makes me proud of my 119-SU5 Warrior, with all cap points earned soloing with trusts at the rate of about 6 points/hour. I've got 10 other jobs at SU2. I'm going to spend more time there.
Chimerawizard Banish works to temporarily remove special damage resistances, so will be ineffective unless your target mob has resistance to your weapon type.
So my question is.. are you stuck in caves until you hit the 1200 JP mark then? the early JP grind seems SOO daunting, especially as a returning player that never experienced JP's before.
If I've learned anything since 2004.. There always a Japanese group somewhere doing it better, faster and way more intensive than any group you've ever been in.. The other thing that bothers me about FFxi is the very large amount of secrecy in the game.. Information in this game is kept in the dark for far too long, months or even years can go by before people start sharing information on Wikis and this is often because elite groups will use players with the promise of getting them gear where the truth is, they get first dips on certain items. A lot of Linkshells will have rules for getting items or loot based on attendance or other point system where the actual truth of the matter is those running the place get all the items they need first and keep the "who's turn" it is in the dark in order to confuse the players. There are too many players using people and never helping each other, and getting the scrapes of loot is made to sound like a privilege when you come along for the ride.. Anyway.. I'm ranting on, it's nice to see someone sharing FFxi stuff in 2019/20. ^^
I've known about this location for about 2-3 years now and I've brought pet parties (PUP x2, SMN x2, COR, GEO) here and got amazing amounts of CP even during non CP campaign months. So at least to me, this camp isn't anything new. Though I'll be perfectly blunt, I'm shocked that on a server such as Asura, this camp wasn't discovered sooner, especially considering the rampant CP bot usage there.
I never thought of this as a secret camp. but I would think most experienced players know about it, just most are too lazy to make cp parties there. Granted, I'm not on a crowded server, but most gates parties I see are solo'ing with trusts or small groups. they just don't take the time to get to the other camps. Outer Ra'kaznar Camps are actually the most tedious to get too.
Hah! I did the same thing you did and scour the higher areas. Unfortunately as DRK I’m using almost full ratri +1 set and that’s enough to blood agro everything in that zone. I did think MNK would be fun their though but I hate the AOE moves on skelly.
Hey Rua .. You mentioned SMN in this vid closing SC's ... (i am aware of that ability) But i'm only SU 3 on SMN with mediocre gear... and i can MB for 20k dmg at least. Would closing a SC do more dmg?
I think FFxi needs to add "zones instances" like other MMOs have these days as over population in a zone can ruin someones day. At certain times it can take up to or over an hour to arrange a group to get the ball rolling.
How does one unlock those special crystal teleports? I can use them on my main but cannot on my alt, both have cleared Seekers. Just don't recall what I did to unlock these special teleports. *edit* Oh, nevermind. Have to "unlock" the teleports from with in the zone.
ive only recently come back to the game; is there a recommended solo method for CP? im struggling to get my Redmage geared/JP'd enough, and most people arent willing to take me in a CP Group being so low end on gear/JP right now.
A late response, hopefully you've already found help... Your best bet on lesser-geared RDM getting into CP parties is to join as a healer/haste/refresh. Also try to use Dia III and, if your party requires, distract/frazzle to help with accuracy - but hopefully you won't need those. Eventually as you gear up and unlock Su3 and more, you can pick up Ea gear and other nice pieces (see guides online) and fill a magic burst role very capably. Many people are surprised when they see the big numbers RDM is capable of! It's possible to join as part of the skillchain, but it requires significant gear investment, and other jobs are typically more suited to it (and less suited to your other roles.) As with anything there are many ways to tackle it, but that's my recommendation. RDM becomes so strong once it's geared that you'll no longer even need a party! Just see Rua's RDM guide for proof. Enjoy your gaming!
Commander Sheppard I actually forgot to mention that the Valoredge Automaton is lethal against Draugr, especially when it closes skillchains off the Puppetmaster. Shijin - Bone Crusher - Smite Bone Crusher gets extra damage when used on undead so its nasty.
These camps are for players that form parties with other players? Or can you use a trust party? if you dont have good enough gear you will not be able to do this. sucks that it takes so dam long to get the good gear. especially the weapons.
That side of Inner Raz is nothing but sound aggressive monsters... Invisble is not needed... Edit: You do go to sight aggression eventually but from I gather on those camps is a no go... Atleast I wouldn't on my server of Quetz.
Community for sure. i have some great friends on Bahamut. Plus i prefer the old school graphics and the music. So many reasons. its such a perfect game to me. Come back Derek!

RUclips is odd sometimes.
Side note on Draugar camp. Karambit DNC ain't too shabby if they have good acc gear.

Very informative Rua! Great job as always with all the extra Information and not just, Here is the Camp X.

Time to get a club levelled up. Thank you for your content. 7 mths back and your information is invaluable.
You are awesome, I really appreciate all of your videos. Thank you!
I wish I knew about these sooner. So sick of CPing in the caves.
Next time I need CP I'll be sure to give these a try
The Mog House really sorry for dragging feet on this, wanted to respect the wishes of my LS friends and their concerns.

One of the main reasons I quit is because of all of the damn botting on Asura. Damn shame they let that shit pass.
Don't forget to get someone to banish 2~3 at the start of each fight.
Chimerawizard Banish works to temporarily remove special damage resistances, so will be ineffective unless your target mob has resistance to your weapon type.
That title lol
I did blu cleave on the gargoyles and umbrils a couple times this past campaign. not fast cp but also not crowded.

Thunderdome comment made me lol. Accurate.
Thanks alot definitely gonna try to do that pld dd set up
whoa. PLD/SAM looks intresting. iv never considered that. obveusly its kicking ass doing 60k weaponskills. i seriously need to update my pld!
I do pretty well in the Apex Camps in Moh Gates as RUN but... This might be a good stop for me

I used to go to that camp for awhile, but its a huge chore to get there.

“Hey Everyone, RUA here.”
Arthur Fleck that’s really become a meme in it itself hasn’t it?
@@SplitFinn lol Yes, it has. Love your videos!
funny these camps are now also overcamped aswell we need to find diff camps again ^^ tx for the vid tho
Fantastic video
What pld set are you using?

no that dont work ether. I was told you have to finish the wildskeeper reives for each area to unlock them.

Shijin - Bone Crusher - Smite
Bone Crusher gets extra damage when used on undead so its nasty.
@@SplitFinn Would that be enough to run a solo w/trusts expedition though? or even perhaps a Duo pup team with trusts?
Dustin Martin a duo pup team without DD trust would be Able to six step light and wreck the camp.
