What part of Maye is 3 years younger than Daniels do you not get? Yes, if you draft a 24 year old at #2 he should start. @@glennhardwick6129 he’s been named the backup on the depth chart that was released. Hes getting first team reps. 🤷🏻♀️ The beat reporters that are at training camp every day have all been impressed with how far along he is. Just because he’s getting backup reps doesn’t mean he hasn’t been lighting it up. The plan was for Darnold to start. The first 5 games of the schedule is brutal.

The Vikings also placed Nick Mullens at QB2, with Sam Darnold at QB1, so this really says they're unsure of JJ McCarthy right now, they're reporting he's not ready. People want to talk trash about Drake Maye not starting, but they need to take a look around, it's not all sunshine & rainbows everywhere else
@@CoryD_85 that’s actually not true, both NM and JJ are listed at 2 and JJ is splitting 1 reps with Darnold. The reporting in this video on JJ is completely off, coaching staff is actually raving about him. Local reporting is also giving him props. Vikings are being very open about preferring to hold off on his start as long as possible because starting too early can easily destroy careers. Not saying he’s definitely the next big thing or the next Maholmes tho JJ starting has become a when not an if. This video is just skewing the facts to make them feel better about Maye’s development

No he doesn't. JJ McCarthy is not ready he is QB2 and was considered to go second round at a certain point. He can't run or move like Drake Maye. JJ McCarthy is ok I like him a little he was my second choice if we couldn't get Drake
