- On September 5, at Symphony Cafe, BASN announced Nagaland's debut in the Miss Universe India pageant. Ruopfuzhano Whiso, a prominent model, entrepreneur, and host, will represent the state. She was selected from 19 contestants during an audition held on July 2 at Zone Niathu by the Park in Chumukedima. Whiso, a former 1st runner-up in Miss Nagaland 2017 and Miss Kohima 2017, has been preparing extensively for this competition. The Miss Universe India finale will take place in Jaipur on September 22, 2024. Whiso promises to showcase Nagaland’s vibrant culture and customs, adding a unique touch to her presentation.

Zucho was the first miss universe Nagaland
Actually zucho was not choosen as a representative from nagaland she was just selected as zuchobeni Toungue(sorry idk the spelling) to be a part of miss diva top 16 it was not a state base pagent but after recent change in the organization of the national pagent they started conducting state pagent for the first time which makes ruopfu as the first ever miss universe nagaland
