On the outskirts of Rochester, New York, the local community is shocked by a series of murders, where the victims are girls with names that begin with the same letter as the name of the city where their bodies were found. Young detective Megan Paige plunges into the investigation, which quickly becomes her personal obsession. Her talent for detail and uncompromising desire to find the killer face obstacles - both from the police and from her own psychological problems.
Gradually, Megan begins to suspect that these crimes are not accidents but coldly planned acts. She encounters mysterious clues that make trinianpal61 her question her assumptions. At the same time, her struggle with schizoaffective disorder makes it difficult for her to concentrate, and this causes skepticism among her colleagues who doubt her objectivity.
The investigation gradually leads Megan to an incredible truth that jeopardizes not only her career, but also her life. She is forced to make a choice - to trust her intuition or to give in to the pressure from a system that refuses to see the real threat.
