What an awesome long distance skip! I definitely need to work on skipping swim baits that kind of distance in order not to spook wary fish. The Bass fishing world in the USA need to look out for this young man with a hellacious skipping ability.

@@P0wderMonkeyI have 4 shimano curado DCs and they will absolutely allow you to backlash still lol it’s definitely a lot harder and I love them but you can still backlash them trust me lmao
@@shawndulany4287 again if you set your tensioner correctly and change the brake settings to 4 you won't backlash. Setting 1 is clear day, setting 2 is braid, setting 3 is mono/Fluorescent, 4 is specifically for skipping with the correct tension you won't backlash at all on 4.
Skipping a jig under a dock or a branch is impressive to me, learning to do small skips is tons of practice, frustration, & patience. Your long distance skip is awesome, just the cast & accuracy by itself is flawless.👍
I noticed he did two different awesome skips . One was definitely a back hand and awesome with both being no look skips at the camera. I wonder how many takes did he do before nailing them?

It's pretty dependent on what lure you're using, but ya, neither can I 😅 lol
He's using a Shimano DC you can change the setting on that to 4 and the microchip brake won't let you backlash.
