After mourning the loss of my UA JBL phones for many months that stopped working after 3 years, I now finally found a replacement for them: Adidas RPT-01 (or the newer model with solar energy loading RPT-02). A bit pricey and very tight on the head, but until now they come the closest to the UA ones, I can really recommend them.
I have the Project Rock headphones. The sound quality and noise canceling are good, my only issue with them is I wish they got louder. Otherwise, a good product but I believe they have been discontinued.
Strongly disagree with the first headphones he recommends. I have them and the reason I’m in the market for new headphones is because they fall off during workouts like lifting weights, bending forward, running, bench workouts. And they have a cheap shell. I’m on my second pair and the shells have both cracked around the cups. This time I used duct tape. The sound is great, but there’s gotta be better out there, hopefully at a cheaper price point!
Don’t buy the hesh 3 unless you are very careful taking them off/on. Mine broke a couple days after I got them in a workout in the gym when taking them off cause it’s made of a cheap plastic that breaks really easily. I don’t recommend them.
I would say beats are good unless you are sweating a lot, it can easily corrode the earphones muffs, whilst you can DIY replace it yourself I found the sound quality was dog shit after.
I think you should go with on ear headphones for the gym. Over the ear get sweaty and stink after use. 1) on ear headphones 2) earbuds 3) over the ear headphones

As much as I love the beats headphones once sweat touches the ear sponge they go flat and the paint starts pealing 😞😞😞
