Excellent video. I definitely enjoyed your breakdown when it comes to application. One thing that has helped train my chain punches as well was using the burn machine. It definitely develops those muscles.

Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. I've seen the burn machine speed bag but never used one personally. The focus is different to general strike training but an interesting idea. There are so many ways to reach our goals. Thanks for sharing

Thank you for giving us this video because it helped me with the mistake on how I was doing the wing chun punch and how to do the form properly. I was wondering if you can make a video about footwork because that has always been my problem.

Hi William, thank you very much for your comment. I'm glad to hear you found this video useful. I will definitely be making more footwork content in the future. please subscribe and hit the bell so you know when our new content is out. Also, we already have video's looking at the turning stance (juen ma) and the basic stance broken down. These may help.
      Best regards, Neil

Hey you’re back! I love all the little details in your videos & you keep everything realistic, a lot of WC I’ve seen elsewhere is a little bit too stuck in the tradition & I’m not sure how effective it would be. Are all WC punches on the centre line? I haven’t seen many hooks or anything in other videos.

Hey there, thank you very much. Definitely good to hear from you again too and thank you for continuing to watch my videos. There are a range of strikes to be explored in Wing Chun, including punches from different angles like uppercuts and tight hooks. Ultimately, the circumstance dictates how the original concept takes shape. The original concept being guidelines for how to receive and exert force without relying on contractile strength alone. It (the original concept) is also a mechanical network with joints working together toward a common goal. To me, this means this concept can be used to fuel most attacks as long as they can be done in a way which is in-keeping with the original concept. Excuse the repetition. I hope this helps.

I've love Martial Arts and have studied a few different styles over the years. As a wheelchair user I find that wing chun is an excellent style for me and I really enjoy it. I'm also a wheelchair boxer and find that it works very well with boxing. I was wondering if you have any advice for those of us who do wing chun in a wheelchair.

Hi Terry, thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. That is an excellent question. I'd love to discuss this further with you in person or in a direct discussion. As a training physiotherapist I have some experience working with various wheelchair users, but I must admit I have not trained any in Wing Chun yet. if you would like to email me you can reach me at neil@centralwingchun.co.uk
      All best, Neil
