We went to Silver Hair Salon and Silver Hair Cut in Ghana for some well needed grooming. Jilly really wanted to get here hair done in Ghana, trying out one of the iconic hairstyles. Of course I was there for the Street Food in Ghana and I finally got to try the bofrot. This was delicious and seemed like an easy recipe I could try someday.

What I notice about professionality is not the fact of where you get your hair done who does your hair and a type of management of the shop later than planned and what they want for the staff to do and what they would like the customers to receive and what a notice is about in the UK and maybe in the Caribbean hair saloons they do like to chitchat too much and jump on the phone which is very unprofessional and don’t deal with the customers professionally and they don’t really like to concentrate on doing their hair properly
Jilly, the hair looks perfect! I'm still disgusted about Stephen disrespecting you by drooling over the butts of African women in the previous video. He needs to learn how to truly honor you as any decent man should. Blessings💜
Happy Vday👑👑
Excellent work💥
Did u go to house of slave
The ladies did a great job with braiding Jelly’s hair. And Jilly look 🔥🔥. I love this content seeing interaction with everyday people and asking them about there life living in 🇬🇭 Those Bofro are the same like Nigerian puff puff and they look similar to Jamaican fry dumplings. We are all the same people just dispersed all over the world. The traditions very evident in the culture.
Yes GD, girl hair is on fire
So trueeee!
Hes the best youtuber so far
Any kind of hair can be braided, it just depends on how good the hairdresser is.
I'm going for my 50th birthday I wanna enjoy the culture, the food and especially the Transatlantic Slave Trade scene.
Jilly Hair is very much normal. May be a different texture but it normal and unique to her.
Ibby you and Jilly are a great couple! Love you guys!🙏🏿❤
Loads of appreciation 😎
You are actually doing a very unique, at least to me, exposure to the variety of traditional Ghanaian foods that shows up modified across the African Diaspora! Good job, Ibby & Jilly 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.
And, if I wasn’t soooo far, I’d make an appointment at Silver Hair Salon & Spa!!!!! Nieeeece!!!!!
What do you mean by modified exactly ??
@@maverick4099 I mean as people of African descent were enslaved and brought across the Atlantic Ocean, cooking traditions adapted to the produce, spices and meats that was available to use, which modified traditional ingredients and dishes from West African countries.
YOU ARE A VLOGGER WITH DIFFERENT. THANKS.
hope Ingrid gets some job offer due to your video
impressed , ghana has inproved soo much since the last time i left ghana, by the way, i am a ghanaian, peace🤘
I am loving your vlogs on Ghana. You both look fabulous after your visit ti Silver Hair! You look great anyway with or without!
I am loving Jillian's braids, very beautiful and it does not look tight! You go Jillian!
@@Jillybeans4u how much $ was it? If it was mentioned I missed it.
They do the prepping of the hair here too esp if they have the hair before time, it just depends on where you go.
Hair came out great !
It just depends on who is doing your hair
Way tuh go Jillie🇯🇲🇺🇸❤️💃🏾
Wow! Jilly is always beautiful and her hair turned out marvelous! 👍🏿❤
Even on vacation got to show the lady love with hair!!
That braid gets an A+ neat and quick
I'm so happy you and Jill are enjoying Mama Africa...yes I like the togetherness of getting her hair done it look nice...I can understand what Jillian meant when she stated she do not want to do her hair on this trip until she get to Ghana, and have the experience of African sisters doing her hair, I remember saying that same thing about ackee, I don't want to taste no ackee until I get to Jamaica, and the funny part about it I didn't know ackee and saltfish was mostly eaten for breakfast...so when I came off the ship I make sure to get my ackee, saltfish and must more...and it was so delicious.
I literally have knotless in right now. Knotless is the thing as well as the other style. Love it how culture travels. I am in US 🇺🇸.
The yoghurt you are having was a frozen yoghurt. You should try it with the fanmilk ice cream which is basically vanilla milk ice cream and that goes better with bofrot, kelewele, popcorn which melts with the ice cream.
Next time try it with Fan Ice… it’s magical
Yea you know right taste

Bro find land there so that after retirement u will come settle there because Ghana is our root😁🙏 Remember we Ghanaians love you so much please enjoy your stay shalom peace✌️
Yeah! I just mentioned the free land to him. I hope he takes it seriously! It's such an investment. Home is home bro! Especially since he's even mentioned that they really like it there so much that, he's extended his stay, I know he would like to definitely come back! I really want him to take advantage of the free land being given to the diasporans. A lot is gone already, and they are ready to give about 5,000 more acres. Some have even started building on theirs already, and even a couple already moved in.
@@rainbow3649 there are more than 5 people now moved in where the free land is. the first person to start living there is a Jamaican.. check out Ekow Simpson channel
@@rainbow3649 Exactly Bro

Ayyyyyyy! 💪🏾
I'm so happy u guys are extending your time. Enjoying your journey In Ghana
Bless you for letting him keep the change🙏🏾
Happy Valentines Day Stephen And Jillian ❤❤😍😘
Its definitely a fry dumpling and partie ,I have been around with Jamaicans in England for so many years so I know what you talking about and feel, please take Jill to the art centre for her to buy some materials and beads, I'm enjoying this Ghana vlogs and make me feel like buying a ticket today and come home, well done, I'm super happy because some of the Jamaicans in England thinks different about Ghana and Africa as a whole
It's ignorant people everywhere and my motto is let them stay ignorant. Majority of Jamacians are from Ghana and Nigeria. One day I will visit both countries.
Jilly's hair is literally defying gravity and u basically ask if her hair was kinky enough to get braids. I think what u really wanted to mention was that she was "mixed". I'm sure the braider was extremely confused.
Was confused, was her hair hot comb or permed? is her hair naturally that straight?? Where were her curls??
She looks mixed race.
29:30 It's kinda like bake versus fried dumpling.
Fried dumpling is instant with the baking powder but bake use yeast that needs to rise.
You should go to Gambia , maritius, Seychelles and South Africa
Her hair came out beautiful 😍
Hi Stephen, getting ones hair braided is usually an African/Caribbean thing but it has been known for Caucasian and other races of men/women to braid/ locs up their hair.
Love what I see, glad you guys are enjoying Ghana 🇬🇭
She looks so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this. I miss my motherland.
Really love experiencing Ghana even if it is vicariously through your eyes lol. Thanks for going on these adventures and taking us along with you.
Excellent work! So good to see the beautiful people there
Stephen , I am surprised that after at least a couple of weeks or so in Ghana , you have not realised or even been corrected by anyone local that the pronunciation of the name of the capital “ Accra “ is not “ Akra” as in the food popular in West Africa , the Caribbean and Brazil .
The pronunciation is : “ Accraaaa” with the ending vowel “ a” as long as humanly possible .
If you listen carefully , you will find that absolutely nobody In Ghana pronounces it the way you have been doing so far .
It is not a big issue and Ghanaians , as you would have realised by now, are mostly very polite and respectful people and will never tell you that you are pronouncing the name of Accra wrongly .
You look pretty Ghanaian and could easily pass for a local anywhere in the country .
However , your pronunciation of Accra as “ Akra “ with a short “ a “ at the end , like “ Accra Beach “ in Barbados , is a dead give-away that you are not local .
Not a big deal but just remember to say “ Accraaaar “ !
You are doing a good job . I am a native of Accra and have lived and worked in many Caribbean islands and also have a Caribbean wife !!
It is good to educate Caribbean people about Africa .
Great job with the hair. I do prefer the knotless braids. It takes on shape of the face another level to make it even more beautiful and it lays more flatter on head. Sleep better for sure. Have fun in Ghana. Live life as K Star would do 🙏🏿 #ghana

Your production & editing is pretty dope, music and all..👍🏿👍🏾👍🏽.
I just got my hair braided Saturday (2/12) and I got crochet braids. I usually get tree braids but decided to switch it up. I live in Atlanta, Ga and the tree braids are popular along with the stitch braids and knotless braids. They follow the same system in the US with two stylists and sometimes three depending on the style.
They don’t follow, they rather set the pace 👍🏾
Sorry,I lied,am watching the video lol, when I buy the fresh snapper,I will watch again,The Lord is so good to us
