The energy in this song is off the charts; and Su effortlessly brings it right into her Wheal-House. Now, if they could somehow harness this energy for a few years, they could go places...... oh wait, they did that about 10 years ago.... never mind 😉😉😉 Simply the best and most talented band ever!!!!!

Hey John, cool to see you around with more BM songs.
There's a short song intro which is played prior to this song usually at live concerts and is also part of the Light Side of the Metal Galaxy album, is called "Future Metal".
This song marks the route of the entire 3rd BabyMetal album, you can notice BabyMetal grew up a lot.
Tak Matsumoto (B'z guitarist and founder) is the special guest guitars on the album version, he's doing the short guitar solo section. Song is inspired in Juliana's Tokyo 90's movement and sound, more like a mix of Hi-NRG, eurobeat and Jpop, rather than edm or rave, Tak Matsumoto was one of the first introducing guitar element back then in these type of songs.
Of course SuMetal and the girls isn't afraid to try something new and they did it like a boss, or more like a queen and princess.
In this case you're watching an official live compilation, but no live sound (instead they're using the usual studio album sound) from two live shows in 2019, LA Forum and Metal Galaxy World Tour in Japan 2019, and one of the avenger is Riho Sayashi, she currently have her own solo career, the other one is Momoko Okazaki, now MomoMetal.
Kami Band after 2019 are wearing masks, during the LA Forum it was Western Kami Band playing.
Thanks for sharing this, see you next time and don't forget to put your kitsune up!🦊🤘🕺

So, we have come to a very important song for me. Before 2019 I knew of BABYMETAL, i had heard a couple songs, studio tracks, I had never watched them nor really looked into them at all. I knew they were good, just wasnt all that interested. Right around when Covid started I got a youtube recommendation of BABYMETAL live at the Forum in LA, and this song right here (with the future metal intro) as the opener... this is where I became a fan. A true fan.
There is something to be said about energy and hype. This song is probably their most hype opener they have. The others are good (BMD, Megit on occasion, ROR rarely) but this song right here and the way it instantly got my eyes glued to watch that entire 90 minute live shaky fancam concert, is where it all began for me.
I could NOT look away. DDD is what made BABYMETAL one of my must see top 5 bands. I commented you about having a similar timeframe of journey, we both saw them live this summer/fall for the first time, but now my journey came full circle regarding your reactions. Check out the Future Metal/DA DA Dance opener to Forum LA 2019, you will completely get what I mean.

Tak Matsumoto is one half of a duo called B'z. They churn out a number one hit in a Japan almost every year for almost two decades now. Check out their hit Ultra Soul. ❤❤

Great reaction. This video was filmed at the Forum in LA in October 2019 (octagonal stage) and Osaka Jo Hall in Japan in November 2019 (big triangular stage) and it had the studio audio dubbed on top of the live footage. They not only replicate this live, they make it better.
Guest feature on this track was Tak Matsumoto. He is the founder and guitarist with Japan's biggest ever selling band B'z and getting him to collaborate was a really big deal for them - of course he provided the guitar solo.

    ⚡ 💕 / 💃
This is BABYMETAL's tribute to Japanese Dance music of the '90s.
The "Whoa!" in the background is a famous sample used in many '90s dance hits.
The guest guitarist on the studio version of this song is Tak Matsumoto.
He's best known for the group B'z. They're the best selling artists ever in Japan, and one of the best selling worldwide.
It was quite a score getting him for the 'Metal Galaxy' album, but as Su has mentioned in interviews, they were able to get all of their first choices as guest artists.
Matsumoto was very influential in Japanese Dance music from the '90s, so I think he was a great choice for this track.
Moa's lyrics in her rap section are direct references to dance songs of that era.
She's literally listing song titles from that era.
I was there for the world premiere of this song at the LA Forum on October 11th, 2019.
About half the footage in this music video was from that show.

Holy shit! That's why I have trouble fully enjoying this song! It's the "Whoa!" sample! That sample makes me cringe inside. Maybe I have ptsd from a bad party or dance club experience (probably drank too much too) during the 90's which were my college years and a similar song with that sample was being played (or overplayed).

The intro to this one is pretty cool too. Its the opening song of "Light Force Night" Instead of dark and heavy, it's poppy and futuristic.

For me, this song is NOT in my top 50 favorite BABYMETAL songs, but it's still a good song to have on my playlist. PLEASE check out, "Yava", "Syncopation", and "Awadama Fever"! Those are great BABYMETAL songs that are often overlooked by reactors but are fan favorites!🤘🦊🤘

Nice! I wasn’t a huge fan at first, but this song grew on me over time. Good to hear a musician’s opinion on it, as I would have never understood the intricacies otherwise. Thanks for helping me appreciate this more!

This is kind of a sleeper. It was the opening song on much of the Metal Galaxy tour, right after a audio/video only intro called Future Metal. It is too poppy/dancey for a lot of the more metal fans (as are some other songs on the Metal Galaxy album) but it is a great opening song to hype the crowd.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is a compilation from 2 shows (in USA and Japan) with studio sound. This song was premiered in the world at The Forum in CA on Oct.11, 2019.
Tak Matsumodo (松本孝弘), an arranger of guitar and played solo in the studio is a Grammy Award winner in 2011 (with Larry Carlton). Please continue to explore BABYMETAL.

Wanted to add that Metal Galaxy had just come out like days before this show, it's probably their most interesting album. It featured tracks that were like metal interpretations of world music, and is just an absolute banger start to finish. It's got soooooooooooo many criminally underrated songs, like Night Night Burn, Da Da Dance, Brand New Day, Papaya - the crowd was fucking feeling it when they played this show. It's got like 1-2 songs you could argue are not just epic bangers, but Babymetal at the Forum is one of my favorite showf of all time.
If I get to see them play a show that has them play both Babymetal Death and Da Da Dance, which they've always used as openers, I could die a happy man.

Luving your stuff.. gosh.. some really epic songs you haven't touched yet.
BM - Death at the 1997 concert - Will blow your mind....
BM - Kagerou - West Kami Band intro.. just awesome
BM - The One (Official) - just about the most epic crowd tribute song I have ever seen. If you don't find a tear for this one.. you are not a real fan.
