Pop'n TwinBee Rainbow Bell Adventures indeed released in PAL territories although is not a cheap one to find over here. Way much cheaper the JP version of it. Excellent content mate! Keep up the good work!
Well Jim you knocked it out of the park today another top show once again. I have a few question's for you, first will you be doing a Japanese only release on Ps vita as I'm started to get into the system for the first time. The second question is we all love you walking around and talking but I was wondering would you ever do walks in other parts of Japan, I'm a new fan and I you don't know how much your shows have help me out thank you Jim
This is, by definition, one of the most beautiful stores of all time. One walk through those doors, and the clocks ticked 30+ years back into the past. Seriously. For just a moment, look in the store and recognize the absolute nostalgia. It’s momentous. This is the kind of atmosphere and ambience I think is good for children. (Not so much GAMING but that nostalgic environment where everything is just wonderful). America is so deluded with overly modernized social media influenced garbage. Everything is overly done, uncreative, lacking innovation and passion.
You're one lucky guy to be in Japan right now. Wish I had left the US before everything went down. ;-; Edit: Glad to hear you're a Dirty Pair fan. That's a classic, haha.
I just recently got a Core Grafx 2 with a CIB New Adventure Island. I love Japanese consoles. I play my Super Famicom more than my SNES. I like the controller's buttons on the SF as opposed to the SNES also.
Great video! I’ve never even heard of Ultracore before. I’ll definitely have to check it out. It’s awesome how many complete in box games are in Japanese stores. Do some stores have more accurate condition ratings than others?
I'd be nervous about a lot of those games being reproduced copies. They all seem to be in perfect shape too, no label damage or someone's name in permanent marker on them. I know its Japan but its hard to believe so many games that old, all in mint condition, even the box....................
Man I consider myself lucky - that loose Super Metroid at 3480 yen was the equivalent of 44.20 CAD, and I got a complete Japanese copy in South Korean for the equivalent of 20 CAD. Wish I had more money when I was there cause they had some massive deals on stuff of all console generations going on. I think Zero Wing complete was the same price.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure amine is being featured on one of the US streaming services and my nephews are hooked. They freaked out when I told them I had a 20-year old Dreamcast game from the series. Other than Crazy Taxi (and who doesn't love Crazy Taxi) this may be the first time they've ever been excited about a Dreamcast game. Stupid kids, always loving the latest and greatest. (Usually) no appreciation for the classics.
This is the worst shop in Akihabara. Everything is 2x-3x the normal price of stores I usually go to. They use the Zelda music to rope in really stupid tourists that I have seen buy their overpriced consoles with garbage knockoff controllers. Sad they son't know any better. You skipped the glass case full of foreign games. A long time ago, they tried to pass off a regular SNES loose copy of Zelda for 60,000円. I think they tried to do the same with a US Power Glove. Hope nobody fell for that. SFC games having the battery replaced is pretty sweet. Still might not be worth thhe price. Also, Zelda OOT is like a 200-300円 game loose, not 800円. I would never buy anything there unless there was a game I just couldnt find anywhere. Like I was looking for Snowboard Kids Plus and looked there, luckily I waited and found it elsewhere for about $11.
Heya thankyou for the info, me and my partner are off to tokyo hopefully next year any places you recommend. Even if it includes a little trip on the train :)
I beat one of their employees at Sf2 and they gave me 10% off my purchase lol
That's awesome!
Muscle Bomber, the perfect name to game haha!
@Falcom Scott Thanks, man! Video is out today!
In here it’s called “Saturday night slam masters
Thanks for sharing the retro game shop in Akiba!
Nice game hunting video !
I bought Parodius Da from thhe dungeon last year.
I always liked your content, always enjoy see you walking around
Love these videos!
Games in this shop are in reasonable price, and batteries are replaced. Good choice!
That was good stuff, I love that song in the credits as well.

Cool video. The sister store in Los Angeles, California in the U.S almost looks the same!

I just got a turbo grax 16 mini and I like it
Already watched on Patreon ;) It's even better a second time! Can't get enough of these 😊
I miss Tokyo can't wait to go back and go game hunting once this pandemic is over :)
I got a boxed copy of へべれけ recently. It came in a hard case like some Namco Famicom games.
Love your channel and for some reason your voice just reminded me of Grizz fro We Bare Bears haha
I’d forgotten about the “half off”, sounds like it’s the reason to give Retro Game Camp a chance!
According to the subtitles, you're in "Ah Cuba". Enjoy some mojitos while you're out there. 😂
Decent Jim!
Heyyy JIM!!,everybody here

What is the name off the music at the end of this video. Sounds dope !!!
What’s that exposed cartridge game there at 2:56
I have no idea what it is...

Great picture quality! What camera do you have?
Please do an Megadrive / neo geo specific episode where you look for the cheapest carts on sale.
what song did you use at the beginning, I really enjoy synthwave music so it sounds right up my alley. Also, thanks for the video!

Yoshis island I loved that game
Hello Jim. Are you still finding and selling imports for other people.
I always enjoy looking at the rare and interesting stuff on the display shelves, even though I can rarely justify doling out the yen for it.
Love listening to the MKQ Jazz Bar music from Shenmue when you do your videos Jim. 8^)

Hey what's that ending theme you always use. It sounds so familiar but I can't place it off hand. Also love your vids Jim.
Ha! It finally clicked. Nightmare on Elm St. for the Nes. I knew it was familiar!

Jim, what are your thoughts on Japan paying half of your holiday to Japan. Is it the perfect time to go retro game hunting in Japan?
Curious, is there a Video Game Store that sells English Games?
