I bought three of them. Got rid of the sound and slow crawl is awesome. And very affordable. Its a bit bulky but still worth having. Thanks for the video.
Ok gonna try it -- looks pretty solid - just grabbed two 80A's from NegG ---- slapping them in a 22lb ClodBuster 1/6th custom crawler rig with Holmes Hobbies CrawlMaster outrunners -- look very similar to size/shape of the rhino outrunner so hoping for compatability. Any idea how big a motor these ESC's can push? 4250's maybe? ie 42mm wide can and 50mm long? I have some AeroDrive 350kv monsters that would be fun for slow and torque. But i don't want to cook these out the gates so will startt with the Crawlmasters!! Thx for the vid was gonna go for Fusion FOC's but can only go to 3s and I run on 4s-6s for this rig usuallly -- and how can argue with 10amp BEC up to 8volts and can take up to 8s. I really need this drag brake seems absurd to spend so much for a couple of good drag brakes but when this sucker gets rolling down a 45 degree+ rock hill LOOK OUT.
Hello, sir. Thank you for this, Im building my first LCG crawler and this helped me decide to go this way. Do you have any experience with Rhino motors as well? Im looking at S20-1800KV one...
Looks good, do you think its up to the challenge of pushing two identical make/spec brushless motors at the same time in a cawler? Clodbuster style with two motors front/rear axle?
Your video earned you two purchases. I am going to try to replace two Castle Sidewinder4 esc in a dual moa RC4WD Bully II. Wonder if I will be the first to run this setup with two 1800kv HH V3 Revolvers. My current setup is gorgeous, but I won't run it as it sounds like a dental drill stuck on max most of the time. Hopefully this is the ticket.
Love this explanation I recently got one for my c1 hardbody build with HH 2040kv I love it! Unrelated question which body mounts are you using on that rig? Cab only?
Actually the esc amperage does matter i guess. I had big 1850KV 3542 motor, and it had big current draw so when i paired it with my 70A esc it was turning off my esc when i added more throttle. I brought 3532 2050KV motor and it had zero issues. But i may be wrong. When i had that big motor i asked people from am32 crawler group for help and they told me that motor was so hungry, it was overheating the esc
@@Furadi Oh ive already seen the video. Interesting. Then i dont really know why that 3542 motor burned down my 30A esc and didnt want to work with my 70A exuav esc. Maybe its was just my luck lol. Anyway, i love your content (mainly because youre doing drifting and lcg videos and stuff and thats the things that im doing right now :D) and you are very honest! Have a nice day!
I completely agree with you 1000% I had the exact same issue. I set it up and hooked it to a 3542 1850kv and was heating up almost instantly, went to a 3532 1470kv and haven't had a single issue.
So what is the esc set at out of the box? I have a direct power servo and would probably need to set up the voltage etc unless it does that itself? And what is the bec set at? I have a NSDRC SERVO I'm going to be running
Hi, thanks from Italy for your nice and usefull video, I finally understand what "sine mode"means. Just a ask: what about drag brake and running brake, are they interconnected and separate modulable and is drag brake strong and prompt? Thank you so much
Does this have a sensored motor setting? I was hoping to use this with a black jacket 2000 and it says it needs a sensored castle esc, but I don't like castle whine.
I got heat build up pretty fast during superslow crawling... naked not even geared yet... both 1400kv n its 2250kv motor... Experienced the same? useable superslow crawling but short duration. Heat build up from the motor cable
Hey hey, if you look through my videos you'll see I actually put out a videos on making low cost am32 escs using old drone escs. Definitely nothing wrong with going that route. 👍
I suspect the onboard BEC is way weaker than 10 amps. I have a 9imod 45kg servo in steering and my Rhino browns out on heavy steering forces. I'll be getting a CC 15a bec to run the servo on....
It's a shame really, because it should have been a recipe for cheap but good brushless systems from the start. I'm just surprised it has taken the Chinese this long to catch on. Even before AM32, people were modding blheli and simonk firmware to make a car mode and you could get a decent little brushless car ESC for like $5 but it was a pain to actually flash them to begin with, having to solder onto the correct pads on the board or later you could get a socket adapter to go around the chip but either way it was a convoluted process. I think for blheli you need to use an arduino, too. It's gotten a little easier with the newer AM32 devices but still enough work required that people are willing to pay 150 for someone else to do it. An affordable AM32 ESC with a simple USB interface has been a long time coming but I feel like we will start to see more and more as time goes on. I can't wait for a smaller scale version. I hope before long that we'll just be able to buy any cheap flight style ESC and easily program it for crawler or regular car use. There are tons of 30a ESCs out there for like $3 that even have a BEC in them, just a firmware away from being a ridiculously cheap small scale car ESC for 1/12 1/14 1/16 etc Add in one of those 2212 outrunner motors and you could have a cheap but effective brushless system for less than $10. It's just having a quick and easy way to flash that that's getting in the way. It's like this whole world of cheap and fun experimentations is being held back by this one issue. The painful thing is there are videos going back 7/8 years of people demonstrating car mode on dirt cheap Simonk ECSs. I really thought the Chinese would have better capitalised on it by now and started producing the cheap controllers with the ability to switch between flight and car mode.
I agree I tried it went across the room had no wheel speed and went back to the Holmes esc I also tried another guys and it was a 20$ esc with am32 programmed it was also junk so I run holmes escs in everything and I’m probably gonna try one of these
These engines are no good. I already bought two 1800 kv and after two weeks of use I accelerate and with two fingers I can brake the engine and it just shakes.
@@Furadi I tried it on another esc because it could be bad programming and it does the same thing. I spoke to the seller on Aliexpress and sent the video, he exchanged it for the second one and it's the same again. I might have to buy the Holmes Revolver.

Whats your opinion on the Sequre 70A ESC ?(available in AM32 and BL32).
I have one coming soon for my gko2 build, And I can't wait to test it out, Running a team brood riot SS 2000 KV
Thanks for all the help, mine's in the mail!

It's not likely. I have a separate video on this but crawlers pull very little amperage.

Would you still recommend this rhino 80 amp ESC for 90 bucks going price now?
Great informational video as always
Super helpful video man, been looking at trying an am32 esc
Furadi, do you think an sensorless inrunner like the Holmes crawlmaster BL would benefit from running on an am32 based esc?
Sir do you think 40a 2 3s 35s servo conect to radio will have any problem?
I have one and it heat up when I test it I don't have a Pinon gear on and it came with
Servo recommendations for rhino 80a
Do you know if there might be a Rhino Esc with Bluetooth programming capacity eventually?

Drag brake is great! I'm not too sure no the difference but I leave them stock.
Can you make a video about multi ESC config tool? I’m stuck 🫣
Does this have a sensored motor setting? I was hoping to use this with a black jacket 2000 and it says it needs a sensored castle esc, but I don't like castle whine.
What wheels are those! ❤️
What site and what motor
OK so is the heat in sine mode an issue, because mine runs hot???

I've noticed my motor builds heat very fast as well. 1400kv revolver. Never even got warm running on a micro x2.
Wonder if adding a fan to the esc would help
Same issue here. Almost instantly, the wires, motor, and esc get sooo hot.
On a Facebook group I saw people say to turn the sine mode down to 5 if it gets hot
What gearing do you run on the tcv1.
They make a smaller 40amp version of this ESC.
I haven’t watched the video yet but I can tell you the Dinky RC esc is the best available with half the footprint and 1/4 the size.

Anyway I could get some help on tuning a emaxx?
Will the castle link work for esc to pc connection? What size motor is that?
No but these come with usb linkers.
I can't get mine to connect to the laptop. I need help.

I know someone running a Savox 2290 with one and has no trouble with power in his steering. Do you have the right voltage set?
@@alanhelps6789 yes. Running a Radiolink So the rx can supply plenty of power through it to the servos. Believe I set it to 7.2v option.
@@HBFTimmahh Strange that.
What wheelbase do yo run on your CC-V1, it looks longer than 12.3”.
It probably looks that way cause I cut the frame shorter front and rear.
Oh, ok. So is it 12.3? The reason I ask is I have a CC-V1 and I’m thinking of trying a 13” wheelbase. Have you tried a longer wheelbase on the CC-V1?
hi, awesome video as usual. Whats the software name please? or link, thanks.
Link in the description 😁
Furadi you stopped flying quads🤔🤔
Mostly. I still get the urge here and there though.
Hi bro i tryed to log in negative g page but dont work i entered in rhino page for the log but there is a 3 versions what version i need to download?
oh my thats butter!!!
Gimme Gimme!
some one can let me know how tu change bec voltage
I still can’t believe people are buying these am32 esc for 150 from that josh guy.🤣
Its predatory tbh 😶
