Tbc was the best WOW for me. Group stacking was cool because you really had to commit to your role and you were somewhat important. Today it’s all irrelevant. Guild life was awesome and communication with other players. Group search tools ruined the game for me.
The argument of Calssic, TBC, Wrath sounds fun to me. Make one expansion 1 year long with thought out content spacing and then reset because after around 3 years people will want to restet again because everyone got everything they want (most likely). Thats how it is for me at least

being in good group vs bad group was huge for melee, same with the jewelcrafting amulets with party wide buffs, just make buffs raid wide and its sorted
Honestly I liked class stacking in tbc, in all version of wow there was class stacking, only diffrence in tbc classes were stacked for a specific niche while in other expansions for their raw dps. I prefer each class to feel unique and bring something diffrent to the table over the homogenization going in in newer expacs and just raw dps or heal matters. Moving shamans around tho...
I enjoyed questing through all the zones, farming for gold for my flying mount, unlocking all the dungeons/raids but after the first few weeks I was done. Trying to find a heroic group multiple times per day for many days/weeks in a row was just a drain.
There's a simple solution for the group buffs problem. Imagine your class gives 5% buff to something on their group. A new tooltip change that says "if your group has another shadow priest, your combined void energy increases and now your group buff expands to the entire raid. That way you still have to bring 2 of them to make the cut, which will maybe them still valuable but you can also bring whatever else to the raid
I'm still angry they yanked the TBC servers (or forced us into WotLK). I felt cheated as I planned only for TBC (tho the quick gathering from WotlK was nice, wont lie). I have been playing WoW off and on for 20 years now, but still have never played through to the end of most expansions. I would love to play classic-wotlk all the way through.
'i would prefer if buffs were raid wide' buffs not being raid wide is why they are ballanced. you need to be able to have a buff go to some targets but not all. if a buff is raid wide, it has to be scaled down in power. if a buff only goes to the group it can be 8x more powerful, and this means that weaker classes can be ballanced by having them still contribute the same when you include indirect contributions.
I’d rather play classic than wotlk for some reason wotlk was my least fav which is crazy cause I loved original wrath. TBC>cata>classic>wrath as of now for me
personally if they had TBC server I'd be on it. I really love TBC PvE content. the karazhan raid, the easiest one I could run hundreds of times... it's so comfy
Blizz could do a classic to bc HC server , From every portal on every classic server if you entered the portal you be on HC BC server connected and there is no way back to vanilla classic -Only death and free transfer to Cataclysm. But.. never gonna be happening
TBC is the best expansion, but implementing flying was a terrible decision. And dividing the playerbase and having more vertical progression is also troublesome.
Id play it again if I could but blizzard has perma banned me for apparently using "hacks" on my account of 17 years and have refused to reverse the ban and offered no help or information regarding the situation, even to the point of telling me after my 5th appeal that they will no longer discuss the topic anymore. It's wild because I would never use hacks in the first place, wow is about the grind for me, if there is no grind what's the point. I sincerely hope nobody else experiences this as it was a pretty huge loss. I've seen this happen a lot recently and I hope for much of the communities sake as few people experience this going forward as possible, cherish your accounts fellas, never know when uncle blizzard is going to swing through and take it away.
TBC era servers would make me resume my paid subscription, it was the most fun I've had with WoW. It just feels unlikely that we'll get them anytime soon, even if we want them loudly. I fear Blizzard will want to hype them up beforehand in Blizzcon or similar event, and they weren't shown on the roadmap shown in the previous one, so getting one could be more than one year away. We might be able to get them through piggybacking for tbc hardcore servers, maybe. It's weird, since it makes zero financial sense for there to not be era servers for tbc/wotlk.

I'm of the opinion that you can't go back. Classic happened at the perfect time, but I think that time is now come and gone. For those of us that were there since the early days, we had a chance to relive the magic. For some of us, Classic, TBC, Wrath - those were better than the first time; for others, they paled in comparison. For me, Classic v2 was perfect - so much better than original Vanilla. TBC was much better the second time also. Wrath, though, missed the magic for me. I'm really sad about it, but it just felt like it was slipping away. For me, so much of Classic is about the friends you play with. I found the best guild I could have hoped for, and now they've all moved on. Could I find another guild to relive those days again, and experience anew? Sure. Maybe. But it wouldn't be the same. For me, screenshots and memories are what remain, and that's good enough. For my Classic guild, I'll have better memories than any other during WoW, but honestly that's what makes the breakup in Wrath so rough. We had what we had, but now we're onto the next one. I'm so glad for those who are still playing and still enjoying, but for me, it's back to retail for a bit, and trying to relive memories on my own. Ahh, time.
