I don't like magpul furniture and I think there's plenty of people out there who also don't so it makes sense not to have it. Let the customer modify their rifle after they purchase
ADM makes an awesome UIC lower. Full ambi and has an nicer bolt release lever on the side. This sig bolt release is basically their version of the pdq lever which was always a little cheesy.
@@antiquatedideas1107 not to say that you’re wrong, but you’re the first person I’ve heard from who actively dislikes magpul furniture. I mean, I personally prefer a b5 sopmod to a magpul sl-s, but the sl-s is still an excellent stock. What is it you don’t like about magpul furniture?

Steel reinforcement on the charging handle slot is actually pretty genius. I've seen countless Colt M4A1s on Army racks that are so old, and the amount of wear on the charging handle slots is insane on some of them, to the point of cracking, especially the ones in Basic.
Damnit hop I wish you were my Google assistant voice. Straight to the point and no bullshit. Please Google give me a Hop voice assistant to tell me my daily plans.... Without the BS.

Unfortunately, the ATF just made a ruling about that bump firing (9:03). Luke is now required to either register his right index finger by May 31st, remove the finger from his hand completely or send his hand and the m400 to the ATF for destruction.
About time they revamped the m400 for reals. I got a Tread for a song a couple years ago. The receiver set is built very well, along with the bolt.. but the rest was quite unimpressive. Barrel wasnt that accurate, but weighty.. handguard gobbled hotdog, and a fkn slK stock. All that crap is long gone. Glad Sig is stepping it up.. a little.

Wow, credit where credit is due, Sig FINALLY made a decent AR. I would be curious to see how it holds up long term, but what you have shown so far is...compitant
A few of the improvements from the MCX on a standard AR is a nice touch, the rail looks like a Sig version of the BCM KMR/MCMR, and it's not overly expensive. Only real detriments I'd nitpick would be the lack of an improved bolt and adjustable gas block. Geissele and LMT have their "enhanced" bolts using better steel than C158, though adding something like that would probably add another $100 or more to the price tag, and AR bolts are fairly cheap.
@@Rb889 I still vastly prefer C158. 9310 is only better if you hit the heat treatment perfectly, has a much more narrow heat treatment window, and gets super brittle if you miss.
@@great_deception the tread had a stainless barrel, was WAAAAY to heavy on the hand guard. And the "snakebite" line was just awful. I'd say LMT is clearly superior, in both design and material, but it's much more expensive, and time-consuming to produce. To this day, I've yet to find any report of an LMT E-bolt breaking.
one thing I first appreciated about the MCX was noticing the steel reinforcements. It's interested to see that carry over to the M400 (maybe this has always been a thing) but I have in fact seen some blem receivers fail from other manufacturers that are out of spec to the point where the steel reinforcements would actually have been a nice touch. it may also allow for other aftermarket charging handles that are more agressively angled to hang onto something other than an aluminum shelf

0:58 You can punch out the pin and rotate it 180 degrees or just remove it. Does the sig m400 SDI handguard fit the m400 tread without replacing the barrel nut?
PWS has the best ambi lower in the industry. Because it uses a custom forging, it's not billet. So lighter and stronger. Anyways good to see that you're shooting the matches at ARPC and Douglas Ridge.

I have an aero precision upper, and I’ve probably got between 5500-6000 rounds though it now, as I’ve only had it about 2 years I’m running into the issue of the charging handle wearing the notch that it’s supposed to latch upon out. I first thought it was my charging handle but I have figured out it’s definitely not and it’s nice to get some validation for that, although I wonder what round counts usually result in that wear, cuz I’d think anything less that 10k wouldn’t wear enough to make the charging handle jump out on occasion.
