You two helped re-energize my passion for this industry and jump back into planning my own coffee drive thru business! Thank you. Still trying to figure out the best way to get it going.
Thank you for posting these!! Me and my best friend are trying to open our own coffee shop here in Florida! We want it to be the most amazing, loving, giving back coffee shop ever! We want it to feel like family and we are really big into loving Jesus! And we want it to double for bible studies and worship nights and give back to the community! We appreciate all these videos and any advice you can give us. 💜
I can listen to your advice all day long. I've been through entrepreneur hell my self lol. This is facts people, It's the gauntlet lol. Thx for sharing.
Thank you!!! For keep inspiring people specially on this times.. I'm a single mother of 3 and I have a dream that one day I will own my own business.... thank you for your positivity vibes and for keep inspiring.❤️❤️
God bless you and your family. i can relate to a lot of what you said. i am opening a small fast food outlet. And i have been on the rounds for the past 6 months and I am getting worried so much. because i am already paying rent and there are so many rules to comply with when it is a food business so i keep on facing roadblock after roadblock and i am doing a full time job so things become very challenging. this will be my first business and sometimes i get so lost that i just sit down hold my head and say to myself i dont know what to do. but watching your video gave me hope that I will pull through this.
I am almost 17 and I can’t stop dreaming about opening my own business. This makes me feel so much better because everyday I wonder if my dream is a mistake and waste of time. This helped me so much!!! Thank you for sharing your story! You are doing amazingly wonderful and I hope I will be as successful and positive as you ❤️❤️❤️
Came across your channel while looking for some info about building a stand-alone w drive through building for my business. Very inspiring because I finally found someone who has and is living exactly what im experiencing. I currently work 7 days a week with an average of 14-16/hrs a day. Currently building out my commercial kitchen which required my renting a spot adjacent to my shop (which yes its really convenient!) but its expensive of course. I started by buying used equipment (which of course meant repairs along the way) and NOW am buying and replacing equipment with new units. Slowly starting to dream with building my own building but I'll already have/own my own production kitchen which will allow me to have bigger production of products and control quality. So much to write...but anyways wanted to say congrats and hopefully there will be more vids!!!
I've watched most of your videos and i love it! Those make me feel so encouraged to open my first coffee shop, and right now i'm on the researching and developing stage. However, in my country, Indonesia, the covid disease has spread to over 90k people and it keeps growing and i feel so unsafe and unclear open the coffee shop but i will remain positive. Although the "new normal" is already begun, I'm pretty sure that the offline store (restaurant, clothing store) future here would be stuck and even decreased. Hopefully i can start my new journey here as soon as possible with opening my new coffee shop and thrift shop since I rent 2-story building. Kudos to you and Casey and the new entrepreneur like me, cant wait to see your new videos coming:D
Fun fact: Drive-thru isn't our culture here but the people love to sit outside without Air Conditioner and Fan even though the weather here is frustratingly hot and dry, meaning I have to make a way to open the coffee shop as late as possible (prolly after 6PM because sun goes down around that time) until 1 in the morning!
One day I would love to go to your coffee shop! Though your in America so I don’t think I’ll be able to.. but I’ll try! :Edit: I watch you all the time I can get btw!
If you had to give a rough estimate of all the start up costs of the very first shop such as the shed, the equipment, and the general costs of running what would that look like? Love your journey!!
Hey I love your guy's videos I just started watching and I'm addicted I'm only 13 but I know i want a cafe me and my best friend are thinking of opening some when we get older but where working know i know I want to work in a coffee shop to get experience but I wanted to know if you could do a video on how to find vendors for food and how to know if they are in your best interest and what important food you will need to make coffee and how to pick out coffee beans I know this is a lot and you are very busy but I just wanted to ask.❤❤
Any advice for me? My place is kinda not use to "real coffee", people here likes sweet and milky instant coffee more than anything else. Should I consider not buying an espresso machine cause it doesn't really matter for my customers or should I try and break what they are used to?
Hi my name is Jess! I opened my first coffee shop at 20 and four years later we're finally able to open our first drive thru! I'd love to connect with you!
Can I ask how much you originally had to invest to open your shed? I’m planning a trailer and curious how the budgets compare... my trailer budget is 10-15k
Hey Josie! I think you're going to want to expand your budget. Our first shed was about $75,000. Granted, that included permits for water and sewer. If you do self contained, you might be able to save about $10,000.
Can you please clarify something. If never understood how people say they didn’t take a pay check for “x” amount of time? We are in the process of starting a coffee shop as well and if you don’t take a pay check how are you paying your bills? Eating? Clothes? The normal essentials
My husband kept his full-time job and we lived off of savings for the first couple years. The other nice part about being in the coffee industry is that I received tips from customers. I was able to use my tip money to pay our bills while not touching the business account. :) Hope that helps!
News News I did work in coffee as a barista for a couple years before we opened our shop. However, I did get information from our roaster that helped me be a better barista. One of my favorite accounts to follow is Chris Bacca here on RUclips! He is an excellent teacher on some barista basics! :) I hope that helps!
Birute Ka hello! Yes! I worked at coffee shops for years before we opened. When we opened our shop we made our own recipes and drinks, but I did have experience. :) There are barista classes available if you do not want to work at a shop before opening your own!

Wyatt Mcconchie I’m so glad! Keep going with your dream! It’s very possible!

What point of sales system do you use? And which credit card company are you using as well? Thanks!
Hello! We use Heartland for our credit card processor and then Lavu as our POS system.
how did you learn coffee and how do you train your baristas making coffee
