I love the idea that you have Donnie (and I’m assuming Raph) have the scars on their arms from the portal it’s such an interesting concept and I don’t think I’ve seen it before!

I love this I also like the way he "comforts" Mikey. He didn't say any of that "it wasn't your fault" bullshit, because objectively, it was. But, what he did show is that he doesn't hold any resentment towards Mikey for doing that. There is no regret. If he went back in time knowing what he knew now, he would do it all again if it meant Leo got out alive. Being a hero is hard. Most times, you don't get that happily ever after. Sometimes you have to settle for the ending where your 'ever after' hurts a lot, but at least you did what you could to get everyone out alive. Or, sometimes, you have to settle for the ending where you don't get an ever after, but the people you love do. Like he said, being a hero is hard.
yes, the wisdom from Donnie, the turtle is wise and understands, and he knows that not all superheroes wear capes they can be the people who are there and support and sacrifice themselves for others who have a hard time or need a show of living, including family and my favorite quote from my dad before he passes way from covid is "To be heroic is to be courageous enough to die for something; to be inspirational is to be crazy enough to live a little.” “It's not just children who need heroes.”

And also the emotion made me feel something, like damn, I usually don't feel things, but man that got through. 😭 Last night I was watching the story behind how the TMNT franchise became a success, it was the same amount of amazing storytelling and expression!! Well done!!
