As a old school gamer i don't care about what people and reviews have to say about any games I'm getting star wars outlaws and assassin's creed shadows and any other games that I want to get to hell with people and reviews
I'm actually excited for this game. I was excited for Hogwarts Legacy as well. I'm also excited for AC Shadow's. It's my money I can spend how I please. I'm a fan of these genres and will always will be. I could careless if someone isn't going to buy it. Literally won't affect me. Stop gatekeeping and let people enjoy things.
Star Wars Outlaws doesn't seem very woke to me. I get the main character doesn't look as pretty as the actress, but she's not hideous enough for me not to buy the game. I'm going to buy this game and enjoy it based on the gameplay. These lunatics online, right or left, aren't even gamers.

I am looking forward to playing this game. I have watched a lot of the reviews from streamers. Most of them said they had fun, but a lot of them still made criticisms on game play, graphics and such.

Any video i see that says sponsored, i just consider it an extended ad. Especially previews. It's just an info dump with some opinions on things. If people are making a video thats sponsored, obviously its not going to be super critical because its an ad for the company that is paying them to sponsor the vid. I wait for actual reviews and judge how they do with the review. If they outright lie, then i never trust them again. But they have to actually lie. Not them liking something that i dont. I actually appreciate others opinions. Sometimes, it sways my view on things for the better. Sorry for the long reply. People just need to relax on the whole shill argument. The issue of influencers being given potential incentives to be overly positive about products is impacting....well e-commerce in general, not just gaming. You can definitely still trust content creators, unless they do not mention that they were paid for by Ubisoft. Because it is literally a paid promotion. And as no company would ever do anything without a recurring return, it does unfortunately mean that the creator's opinion has been compromised. And there have been evidence that Ubisoft curates the creators' videos. Which makes sense at it is an active sponsorship, just as anyone who has been given the rights to use soundtracks, creator tools, etc, from Ubisoft, WB Games or any other partnership would cause the integrity of their partners' reporting as the partnership would end should the creator become too critical. It's not wrong to enter a partnership, or to be sponsored. But it needs to be acknowledges by the creator so the the viewers remain informed. Also 100% agree with the fact that no one should ever tell anyone what they can and can not spend money on. People can support or oppose whatever they want to.
My problem is not with RUclipsrs, my problem is with Ubisoft. Three of my favorite games are Ubisoft games, when I bought them day one, they were broken with bugs and several issues in the games. The games were all fixed later down the road and were extremely great games to play. So now I’m very gun shy about buying Ubisoft games day one. Also by the the time they work at the best they can be. They are marked down to 1/2 price or less for the same version that is $120 dollars.
What I'm interested in, is to see if IGN is going to give this game a 7 like Stellar Blade and call it "good" as well. Super interested in that, specifically.

With Hogwarts, the author of the book series has purportedly unacceptable views on LGBTQ+. People have a problem, not with the product, but with J.K. Rowling. Those who boycott Hogwarts don’t actually have a problem with the video game.
I'll respond to this in good faith if you hear me out. So I get what you're saying, but with Hogwarts the connection to JK was laughable. She was so distant from the creation, especially thinking, you're supporting or not supporting a big group of developers. Not her. But I do get what you're saying, my response would be, it's still about the shame aspect. It still boils down to a group of people saying it isn't acceptable to buy (or support) a product. This is the type of game I would be look at buying even without the Star Wars or Ubisoft tags. I've never been bothered what people buy with their own money they have earned. People go to the movies, go to a sports game, buy the new clothes fashions. I like to spend my money on what I like, which includes video games. I often pre-order some games including this and well before you made any videos saying you were getting it. Yes I know games can fail and that is a bit of a gamble - but wait so people are happy to place bets for fun because they think they win money. I like you watch you and other creators to see what games look like, what games I may have missed and what games are upcoming.
I would say with hogwarts legacy every DEI was very subtle it wasn't up front and cover and it didn't really have Dlc or locked content behind a paywall.
Moralizing about videogame purchases is obnoxious. You as an individual are not bound by anyone else's conscience. Remember, this is all subjective to begin with. Some people will tolerate one business practice but reject another and everyone has to draw their own line in the sand. For example, I have a friend who won't buy Outlaws because he thinks Ubisoft are being greedy with their premium edition. Well, that's fine. My view is that it doesn't matter because I don't have to buy that version of it and what it does come with is not compelling to me.

Hogwarts legacy is always going to be a fun but difficult comparison to make. People antagonized Hogwarts because of brand association, not really the game itself or its gameplay. People are attacking Ubisoft because of actual game design and business practices. But regardless, if an individual has decided to opt out of the "culture war" aspect of this stuff, they should be allowed.
The main problem is most modern games are almost the same quality. Gamers cannot distinguish quality level until someone do and tell. So, gamers cannot watch some videos and make a decision. They need a person who tells them, is game good or bad. Gamers don't want to 'play a game'. They want to play 'best game of the best'. And someone has to convince gamers to play this particular game.
I think at the end of the day, the people shaming others for wanting to buy a certain game are people that weren’t interested in the game to begin with, so they cling to a cult like group online to feel important, to fill that hole in their life, their meaningless sad life, filled with emptiness and loneliness.

Sun Wu-Kong is also the inspiration for the Japanese character of Goku. But I do get what you're saying, my response would be, it's still about the shame aspect. It still boils down to a group of people saying it isn't acceptable to buy (or support) a product. People are being shamed, people are being labeled and more if they say they are getting SW Outlaws, in the same way people were targeted if they are getting Hogwarts. The reasoning is different and you're right, one is more for the game, the other is the outskirts stuff, but how people are treating others is specifically what I'm talking about and take offense to. This is the type of game I would be look at buying even without the Star Wars or Ubisoft tags.
I've never been bothered what people buy with their own money they have earned. People go to the movies, go to a sports game, buy the new clothes fashions. I like to spend my money on what I like, which includes video games. I often pre-order some games including this and well before you made any videos saying you were getting it. Yes I know games can fail and that is a bit of a gamble - but wait so people are happy to place bets for fun because they think they win money.
I like you watch you and other creators to see what games look like, what games I may have missed and what games are upcoming.
I would say with hogwarts legacy every DEI was very subtle it wasn't up front and cover and it didn't really have Dlc or locked content behind a paywall.
The DEI is there but it's super subtle and not preachy from what I've seen. Ghost of Tshshima also had dei but in a subtle way people could respect.

Moralizing about videogame purchases is obnoxious. You as an individual are not bound by anyone else's conscience. Remember, this is all subjective to begin with. Some people will tolerate one business practice but reject another and everyone has to draw their own line in the sand. For example, I have a friend who won't buy Outlaws because he thinks Ubisoft are being greedy with their premium edition. Well, that's fine. My view is that it doesn't matter because I don't have to buy that version of it and what it does come with is not compelling to me.
People whining about DEI and SBI when there’s literally poverty and wars causing destruction on our society, it’s absolutely cringe. Trying to gatekeep people from making art in the way that they see fit is in itself censorship.
People want to hate this game and say Ubisoft, Ubisoft, Ubisoft. As if Ubisoft is synonymous with bad games. Nobody hating on this game mentions Massive, the people actually making the game.
Massive is responsible for The Division, The Division 2, and Avatar frontiers of pandora. Every single one of which I enjoyed thoroughly.

The Mad Max game looks better than this game and I am sure you will have more interactions on the map in Mad Max rather than Star Wars Outlaws.

I haven’t seen reviews or anything, interested to see them closer to release but as of right now it looks pretty good to me. Also those people you’re talking about, it’s like talking to a wall. I just try to stay out of it as much as I can now, better for overall health 👍
Hogwarts legacy is always going to be a fun but difficult comparison to make. People antagonized Hogwarts because of brand association, not really the game itself or its gameplay. People are attacking Ubisoft because of actual game design and business practices.
But regardless, if an individual has decided to opt out of the "culture war" aspect of this stuff, they should be allowed.
The main problem is most modern games are almost the same quality. Gamers cannot distinguish quality level until someone do and tell. So, gamers cannot watch some videos and make a decision. They need a person who tells them, is game good or bad. Gamers don't want to 'play a game'. They want to play 'best game of the best'. And someone has to convince gamers to play this particular game.

I think at the end of the day, the people shaming others for wanting to buy a certain game are people that weren’t interested in the game to begin with, so they cling to a cult like group online to feel important, to fill that hole in their life, their meaningless sad life, filled with emptiness and loneliness.
Negativity sells and it has never been more evident, especially on RUclips. All of your wholesome creators you grew up with are now replaced by thousands of wannabe haters. Hate trains, boycotting, dudes on the internet just salivating at the chance of logging online and writing their 20th brain dead hateful comment on RUclips, instead of working for literally less than a day and buying the game. Remember guys, you can always sell it afterwards if you don't like it - there are ways for you to be happy.. we don't have to bear with your little rant on the internet "Oh, this is not fair I worked really hard for half a day to afford this game". I digress, I realize rational thinking is not something on the menu for the haters, they just want to make sure you know they hate something, as their opinion is vital to society. With that being said, we do need to expect more from game companies, we want to see them evolve rather than just doing the same formula for all of their games. But let's have a discussion about it, pinpoint what we want to see in the future and communicate that to the company, let's be constructive more than we are toxic, as nowadays the only thing that unites gamers is hating on a project and that is sad.

I'm still getting the game because I don't need someone to tell me what to do with my own hard earned money. I Love the OG Star Wars Movies and the Jedi Games were Absolutely Amazing and I've stopped listening to Professional Reviewers because I believe their reviews can be so wrong and one-sided.
This game comes out 10 days after Wu-Kong. It’s going to flop in comparison. Especially with all this bad press.

@@andray310 I just don't think Wukong will sell as good as people think , it's the first AAA game of it's studio , it appeals more towards eastern cultures and it's not releasing on Xbox as of now ! While Ubisoft games always sell a lot despite the hate couple that with the Starwars branding and it's a recipe for success ! I think Wukong will be received better but Starwars will outsell it
Wukong is a little over hyped in my opinion but maybe that's because I don't understand the lore of the Monkey King that well lol

I don’t understand the lore much either but the game itself just seems like a more complete experience compared to Outlaws which has already been confirm to have dlc and a battle pass. You can have your opinion, but miss me with all that Ubisoft bs.
