I got to the end. Was good and very simple to do. I changed up some of the nodes in mine but it seemed to work. The satisfying part is when you replace the original curve what... any curve and BOOM! you have a new building. Very much like what we're seeing in Blender but this would lead to something we can actually build once skilled at it. Thanks for the class.
I sent my interpretation of this exercise. This was a great adventure since the building systems are very explicit, simple and categorized. This and the multi floor structure are the starting points for other more complex tutorials on skyscraper design. Tyvm, DCO.
I received your script and I am very impressed at how you organize your information. I am very pleased to see that the videos have helped you. Now I get to learn from you! Your script is so well organized that I am now inspired to take my time at the end and really focus on clarity and organization, not just outcome. So thank you VERY much for going out of your way and sharing your information with me. You should document some of your work as well! I am sure people would love it (I know I do) and help people getting started.
I did my definition seeing the video. This monday I will share my version. Your pipeline is very good in terms of explaining the systematic way of thinking. Since you have clusters for the elevators, stairs and doors you can use this exact model and work with this one in a different video. This helps you link videos with previous definitions. You are doing a great service to the community of architects, engineers and designers. This is needed genuinely.
You are 💯on point. I will use this as the base model to incorporate some of the other scripts like you mentioned. The script is now available on my site under free resources. 👍
@@DCOParametric I'll send mine to your mail. I'm almost done. You have one similar definition for a tower. That one is very good for an introductory level.
I had a very clear idea. Thank you for being so helpful. Do you have any idea about the Galapagos tools in grasshoppers and how to apply them in building structural member simulations to find the optimum design?
Just the right tutorial to get started with a simple building. Since all the components are new for me, having names on top helps a lot. But I can't get that somehow. How did you get the names of each component as a text ?. Your guidance is much appreciated. Thank you :)
Hello, I encountered a problem in my work.I use revit, I made a revit model of the factory area, which linked about 20 buildings. I often have to modify the material of the building, for example, modify the material of the walls of 10 buildings. For a moment, I think it must be very simple to use grasshopper in side revit , just find the material and modify it, but I don’t know how to find this material, now I open the building model separately every time and modify the material of the door and window , but it's too slow, so can you make a video about it? thank you very much
This was available free when it was released a while back, but if you check out the script store you can find that one, and other ones. www.copetedavid.com/scriptstore

@@DCOParametric Thank you so much
what's the difference between move and offset?
move can be used with any geometry, offset curve offsets a curve and offset surface offsets the surface. They are used at different times.
