    I have a HONDA NX500 I have had mine for a few weeks now, I got mine in white best colour in my opinion, this is my first big bike and I love it perfect for all my needs and a joy to ride, I would recommend this bike and looks better in person.

    Great review and I agree with all your observations......If I didn't already own a CB500X you may well have sold me the 'new' NX500! These versatile machines offer great value for money and I would buy another one. It might be worth mentioning that my wife enjoys riding pillion and at regular speeds the bike copes with the extra load without feeling at all sluggish. If I regularly rode long motorway jaunts I would consider a larger capacity motorcycle - otherwise recommended! Cheers.

    Looks like some useful improvements. I think this a killer bike for anyone wanting a commuter, a one-up tourer or a do-it-all bike you can just get on and ride and not worry about how much it cost, like top end adventure bikes that are now three times the price. The only slight negative, and this is nothing to do with the new bike, is that considering the market space this bike occupies, and the competitive price, the official Honda accessories and luggage are eye-wateringly expensive. Easily solved but the aftermarket though I suppose.

    I owned a 22 CB500X, I understand the biggest change to the NX500 was the model number with a few exceptions. Honda changed the wheel spokes to reduce the bike weight 7 lbs., different fairing/headlight, and type of display. It's basically the same bike, which is good, my CB500X was great bike. Honda flattened the front fairings and it appears to look more like the Transalp 750 and Africa Twin. I hope they changed the seat from hell that was on the CB500X.

    Thank you so much, i was already keen to buy this bike, your video has sealed it. I live in Australia & unfortunately the bike is not released yet, due Q2 2024, can't wait. You mentioned about weight and fully loaded in the video, I am 100kgs & 6' 3", if i add panniers to this, do you think the bike is sufficient for this weight ? Personally i love the Red colour, FYI i can't do a larger bike than 650cc due to A2 restriction. Once again, great video, thank you.

    • @Iamwhatiam76
      @Iamwhatiam76 9 месяцев назад

      You can opt for plastic type or light alloy panniers…Suprisingly this Euro5 engine produce lesser power than the CB500X(47ps/43nm vs 47.5hp/43.6nm) but 2 kg lighter and better low end torque compared to CB500X

    So easy. So reliable. it drink only 3.4/4 liters for 100km. Long range with a full tank.

    Oh boy ... I am happy that I got a 2023 CB500X (you know, with the dual front disc brake) ... that is still named the same as the most revolutionary Honda bike of all times ... the ___CB___450.
    Why the marketing idiots drop the CB prefix ... nobody will ever know.
    And ... the NX 500 looks just plain ugly. That square-jawed face only a mother can love.

    Great bike but engine should be AT LEAST 500cc (I know most of u believe it has 500cc 😅). No quickShifter 😐
    It would be nice if Transalp 2025 get same look.

      its 29cc short, and its usual for capacities to be slightly lower than the 'model number'

    To much tech to go wrong....and it will go wrong, so not for long distance travel to the bush. The Enfields are a much better bet....and mate...you say it's "fun", but do sound "bored". I think I will buy the Guerrilla.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  3 месяца назад

      The Guerilla has as much, if not more tech on it than the NX500, and is quite a different machine. I can’t help my tone of voice, so making a presumption on my enjoyment of a bike on that isn’t any kind of guide. The motor in the Honda has proven to be bomb proof. Not to say the RE isn’t a good bike though. It’s horses for courses

      @@mancavemoto I have an old Honda Shadow and the engine is bomb proof too, maybe, but the rest of the bike is a nightmare. I bought a Meteor 350 2 years and it an absolute delight to ride, but two up the power is not enough. I also have a Suzuki and that has proved problematic. Many years ago I was back from Australia for a month and borrowed my mates 650 Bonny and with no experience rode it and it was such fun. I rode a PCX for a day and it was the most boring ride of my life. I owned a 110 Wave which did 200mpg and was great for an old lady.
      My conclusion is that Jap bikes are boring, so I don't think it is your personality at all, I think it is impossible to get excited on a Honda. We Brits and maybe the Italians know how to make fun bikes, Japs make commuter bikes.

    This is a CB500X (even listed on the frame CB series) don't kid yourself, I have the 2019 cb500X non abs totally a PERFECT bike & extremely simple to ride & maintain. Most people can't even tell a difference in the suspension upgrade nor brakes unless you're REALLY using them... The CF Moto MT 450 will beat this bike 👇 off-road, this CB/NX bike is more of a road bike just like the MT 450 is more of an off-road bike, just depends where you plan to adventure... Mine is 90% on the 🛣️.. 1 🦷 bigger ⚙️ 90 MPH @ 7K RPMs on GPS btw. I've owned a 2021 Africa twin adventure sport too big & cumbersome I'm just not a fan of all the crazy technology TFT displays adjustable suspension + a valve adjustment cost $1,000.. then I got a 2018 CRF250L rally only had 500 miles absolutely love that bike flickable fun good off-road fun thru the neighborhoods 'n city but totally lacking on the highway. The cb500x is the perfect blend of both... Now a have 3,500 miles & owned 1.2 yrs
