Looking back at his filmography list, I admit I'm quite surprised he wasn't in quite a lot drama or even movie compared to leeminho for instance. Is he very expensive or he's just being careful in choosing project? Why he doesn't want comedy? 12:40 THISSSS. Tbh I still don't get why there's so many people saying the romance in Vincenzo was 'forced' or 'unnecessary'. Even the writer and director themselves say it. Park Jae Bum literally says "absolutely necessary in any way" lol. It's not just a revenge action, it's very much a character focused story and the fact that romance develops between the two main characters, especially in their situations (despite chayoungs excentrics, she was indeed a pretty lonely person and so was vincenzo) is inevitable. And they didn't execute it in a way that felt cheesy or out of place for the setting as if it's a romcom. The show still had all the qualities it had from the beginning, just it had two people who found something in each other and kim hee won directed that beautifully. It felt natural. And to cement all of that, if you pay close attention, the instrumental soundtrack for the song ''Is This Love'' was played in the background as early as episode 3. They knew what they were doing. There's no way they'd include that if the show just 'threw in the romance for fan-service' ;)
Now I understand when the directors are women, female characters in the drama will get stronger and more independent automatically. Loved the independence and strength of Ms. Hong Cha Young 👍👍👍
I feel like the translator for Swoon and Netflix Korea should exchange notes before subbing hahaha. Some times Swoon captures the meaning better but Netflix Korea captures the nuance better

I accidentally came across Vincenzo on Netflex while browsing for something fun to watch for about 1/2 hr .. I end up binge watched all 20 episodes ! Fantastic show- well written, superb actors Song Joong-ki, Jeon Yeo-been, Ok Taecyeon

This was amazing. I loved hearing the thoughts of the writer. He is truly a genius. I never loved a black comedy before. The comedy in Vencenzo interweaved between the evil parts is like life. The romance and sexual tension is also like life. The character Vencenzo is ethical enough about women that he would never allow himself to love an innocent woman, she would have to have a bit of darkness too for her to get close enough to him. It made a possible future between them believable. I absolutely loved the series and this reaction video.
Director-nim was right. That scene where Chae young asking Vincenzo if he's going to leave after the lawsuit was really perfect. Romantic and lowkey funny at the same time. He was like "I thought she'll tell me not to go" but actually "no, yeah you should leave" HAHAHAHA
I like the way that the writer and director expressed their ideas so much. Especially the way that the writer took inspiration from his everyday life was just hilarious and genius at the same time, and them creating scenes both subtly and straightforwardly metaphorical was incredible.
What is good about kdrama especially in vincenzo is that they gave deep thought every single details and casts , and all of them is learning from each other and allowing the cast to do adlib that in the end makes the scenes more perfect.

In the beginning the threee of them ( JYB, SJK and Taecyeon ) we’re really involved in the promotions and spoke a lot about their characters . There’s a whole press conference with the three of them and the director where they spoke about their characters and casting . I think they wanted to speak more about the other types of characters more now and give them more screen time . That could be my guess .

Nice to invite the director and writer here! I liked their words and interpretation upon the drama and characters. Indeed, a sad story capsuled into a savurous comedy to soften the bitterness. And the romance as a natural development between two lonely people, following characters emotions, even if Vincenzo is a hard-boiled story. All that enriched the drama and avoided the nihilism trap that is usually so common in other shows with heavy themes like the presence of evil, corruption and revenge. Traces of humanity, friendship and love in an upsidedown world, making you think not all is lost or futile. The power of being united, the team spirit against evil, like a wakeup call for society. Thank you for portraing realistically and healthy the feeling between Vincenzo and Cha Young! Thank you for thinking we wanted to see SJK and JYB playing together and for wanting to work with them. Also I am gratefull for the rest of the colorful cast and the music director you collaborated with. The background music and the entire sountrack is giving me goosebumps. I think it’s simply because the drama consists of more than just the main leads and they wanted to give credit to all the outstanding actors with great potential but haven’t got the exposure like Yeo Bin and Taecyeon :)

I really want a season 2 or a prequel for Vincenzo. It's been a few days since I've watched it and the writer and the director did really a great job in portraying the "only evil can punish evil". I honestly can't think of any other actor who can portray Vincenzo other than Song Joong Ki. He really did a great job! It might be impossible but I really hope they can reconsider doing a prequel or season 2 for Vincenzo because I don't think any other Korean drama can pull this off.

I'm fascinated with this drama, every episode is making me feel tense, love the suspense and the comedy, I could'nt believe some revelations from villains, was very creepy rewine to some escenes to realize what was going on, and how all they are involving with the story. I cried in the 3 and 4 episode, really makes me cry, the character of Nam Joon-sung with the line "Mr. Hong, I forgot my keys"... broke my heart, really go to far. I still watching it, just few episodes to the final.

The first thing i watched anything that was korean was Paracite and it became my top 3 fav films all time. My 1st korean drama, was squid game which i thought was good but then i watched Vincenzo and it blew me away. The plot, comedy, twist and turns.. the Villains was really good too, just had everything, Chemistry between to leads was great. Absoloute master piece.. I'm new to this but Koreans showed me they are a step ahead of everyone in terms drama's..

I like the way that the writer and director expressed their ideas so much. Especially the way that the writer took inspiration from his everyday life was just hilarious and genius at the same time, and them creating scenes both subtly and straightforwardly metaphorical was incredible.
What is good about kdrama especially in vincenzo is that they gave deep thought every single details and casts , and all of them is learning from each other and allowing the cast to do adlib that in the end makes the scenes more perfect.
Im chul soo and Yang...they were actually great in Crash Landing on you !!! And in Vincenzo there was a joke also regarding Yang Kyung Won...that " u look like a north korean soldier " that was really hilarious 😂😂

Maybe next interview? Jeon Yeo Been is busy with her new drama, Glitch which they already started filming after vincenzo. While Ok Taec Yeon is also busy with his 2pm's comeback, also he already confirmed as main lead for a new drama too

In the beginning the threee of them ( JYB, SJK and Taecyeon ) we’re really involved in the promotions and spoke a lot about their characters . There’s a whole press conference with the three of them and the director where they spoke about their characters and casting . I think they wanted to speak more about the other types of characters more now and give them more screen time . That could be my guess .

And the romance as a natural development between two lonely people, following characters emotions, even if Vincenzo is a hard-boiled story. All that enriched the drama and avoided the nihilism trap that is usually so common in other shows with heavy themes like the presence of evil, corruption and revenge. Traces of humanity, friendship and love in an upsidedown world, making you think not all is lost or futile. The power of being united, the team spirit against evil, like a wakeup call for society. Thank you for portraing realistically and healthy the feeling between Vincenzo and Cha Young! Thank you for thinking we wanted to see SJK and JYB playing together and for wanting to work with them. Also I am gratefull for the rest of the colorful cast and the music director you collaborated with. The background music and the entire sountrack is giving me goosebumps. I really want a season 2 or a prequel for Vincenzo. It's been a few days since I've watched it and the writer and the director did really a great job in portraying the "only evil can punish evil". I honestly can't think of any other actor who can portray Vincenzo other than Song Joong Ki. He really did a great job! It might be impossible but I really hope they can reconsider doing a prequel or season 2 for Vincenzo because I don't think any other Korean drama can pull this off.

I'm fascinated with this drama, every episode is making me feel tense, love the suspense and the comedy, I could'nt believe some revelations from villains, was very creepy rewine to some escenes to realize what was going on, and how all they are involving with the story. I cried in the 3 and 4 episode, really makes me cry, the character of Nam Joon-sung with the line "Mr. Hong, I forgot my keys"... broke my heart, really go to far. I still watching it, just few episodes to the final.

I hope we all get to see more of these brilliant actors and actresses in the future. I really missed Song Joong-ki's presence and acting since I hadn't seen him since Arthadal Chronicles which I also loved. I was so happy when I saw the Space Sweepers trailer and noticed that Song Joong-ki was apart of it, I really missed him so much. I admire the writer and the director who are the backbone of this mass success drama Vincenzo. Writers imagination ability is so influential. I cant believe how he wrote the scenes about Inzaghi and its really surprising that these are brought from his real-life incidents. Director's talents are superb. The whole caste is awesome. The first thing i watched anything that was korean was Paracite and it became my top 3 fav films all time. My 1st korean drama, was squid game which i thought was good but then i watched Vincenzo and it blew me away. The plot, comedy, twist and turns.. the Villains was really good too, just had everything, Chemistry between to leads was great. Absoloute master piece.. I'm new to this but Koreans showed me they are a step ahead of everyone in terms drama's..
