Mizi and Sua hurt because they loved each other so much and even when they did their best to both survive they failed so horribly after getting lost in their love for each other. Till and Ivan hurt because we of course wish for Till to reciprocate Ivan’s obviously passionate love for Till. But we know Till does not owe this affection to Ivan no matter how much of himself Ivan gives him. And Ivan knows this too. He didn’t sacrifice himself to gain Till’s attention. He died to save Till because he only lived to love Till and in a world without Till there would be no one left to love. It hurts because Till loves Mizi, a girl already in love with another and wholeheartedly dedicated to that person and loved back just as much. He even stays in the Garden for her. Even tho he could have escaped with Ivan. Ivan and Till could have escaped but Till stayed for Mizi, Ivan stayed for Till and neither Mizi nor Sua ever thought of leaving because they had each other and never even considered the possibility of one day losing the other.
