I did build myself up from nothing and I mean nothing. I was a housewife with no job and a terrible husband. It took a long time. My credit went from 450 to 730. Pay check to pay check to a nice savings and invested money in the market. I am comfortable now, thank God but fear of going back to that broke despreat life is always with me. Lots of small steps everyday but I made it.
I learn from my baby boomer parents mistakes. They could be millionaires three times over, but they're on the pension because they made so many bad decisions.

I think you have two banks accounts one that your always saving but can never touch. Unless you you have a real emergency ! And because I find that your always tempted to grant cash from existing bank instead of doing without !

First of all I want to thank you for your educational videos. You are an inspiration! I paid off my 15.000 € debt in the last 2 years. And now I want to focus on buying real estates. I also invested in shares but as I am a civil engineer I understand more of houses than shares :) for the downpayment I do my first 1.000€ Challenge and it is sooooo exciting. I started with frugal january and I am shocked the 1000 € do add up so quickly.
500 € were from my salary the rest was selling things, market research, cashback programs. And I am just missing a few euros but it is so amazing! The challenge excites me, everyday I try to find somewhere money and when I can't find I just take the coins from my wallet.
