probably not ; He was just saying that his brother used SH101 and 303 ; I prefere ceephax to squarepusher anyway, his music and his videoclip changed my life in many ways !! For squarepusher, the beginning of wooshki is the only thing that affected me, and I think I listen to almost all the tracks of both brothers :) anyway music is surely no competition...it's about sharing different feeling for different people :) LOVE and ACID !!!
I frequently have to listen to this twice from beginning to end, occasionally to the annoyance of whoever might might be accompanying me (i.e. anyone).
I bought Christian Vogel's copy of this in 1999, but then sold it. I should have kept it! This sounds MUCH (to my ears, anyways) better now then it did 15+ years ago.
you can tell it was fish and chips because the tune has a sort of restrained joy coupled with a profound solemn attitude, definitely a fish and chips tune.
This was the first Trance song I ever heard. And it was the first time I was actually lost inside my head with music. I wish there was a download on Amazon Prime.
sounds like 707 hats ...and I think the table he puts his equipment is a 1870 mahogany from southern France.. ...also sounds like he had fish and chips before making the tune.
and actually yes I remember analysing the harmony of this song btw, and at the heart of the melody, there is 3 fith (or 4th) intervals, stacked together, so none of them is taking over the other, that's how you can create a spacy, unreal but open kind of ambiance ; this could fit in a minor scale like this one, so it's a bit sad, but open enough so there is hope :)
By listening to it, and being well versed in vintage Roland hardware... You can tell the difference in sound between an SH-101 and a TB-303 surprisingly enough. :/
Really? It kind of sounds ceephax-y. But this got released in 1994. Andy Jenkinson would be 15 years old. He did his first gig in 99 I think. Where does he say this ?
@ballacid the envelope sounds a bit to wide for it to be a 303 and i know he was a fan of controling an sh-101 with a 303 meh then again maby its just coz of the reverb.

The 707 was obviously still in its box when purchased from Ebay for $5 - you can tell by the slight peak at 5kHz. You are sort of correct about the table - it was French oak from the sixteenth century coming coast from near Brittany - this is a fact.
Squarepusher was generous with this one and made it 15 mins so we don't have to press the repeat button too much
That doesn't work unfortunately XD
@@abogical 4 hours later, I'm still hitting repeat
main riff 101, second riff that fades in at 0.53 303...
Wow, is that really you? Did you really wrote this tune?
probably not ; He was just saying that his brother used SH101 and 303 ; I prefere ceephax to squarepusher anyway, his music and his videoclip changed my life in many ways !!

you and your brother change my life thank you for your music love love and respect for you guys gracias los amoo
I have so many great memories with this track, early squarepusher and ceephax classics. Changed my life, thanks a lot! Such an inspiration.
i was hinking more like a 202,, i feel the accent on the 101 this no accent
Amazing how the riff repeats for so long and still sounds amazing every single time.
Daveeeeeyyyy :D
some music just won't get old, no matter how much time passes..
I don't think I knew just how much emotion i can have until I heard this.
Translucent. Literally.
@ImmersionPsychosis just saw this, how was it?
I frequently have to listen to this twice from beginning to end, occasionally to the annoyance of whoever might might be accompanying me (i.e. anyone).
Tracks from the year I was born always seem to be the best, good ol 94
Best year ever
Nah. '91 baby!

that track saved me from one of the ugliest bad trip on acid. That's quality
I bought two copies at that time nobody really believed me that it was such a great piece of a forthcoming great musician . Proud of the choice :)
do you sell one?
@@abstral66 haha, one for me too!
Not sure how many hours of my life I listened to this track, but I'm sure it would fill a week or two, maybe three :)

Squarepusher + Acid = My brain is gone.
My GOD this man is IMMORTAL.
uidFluiq Indeed. Iambic 9 Poetry is also a masterpiece in my opinion.
try chaos a.d e.p.
We need a new Wipeout game with Squarepusher doing the Soundtrack!❤️
now that...now, that...THAT...is a solid idea!
And designers republic on the graphics
The fact that this sourced from vinyl makes perfect.

Legend.

@stephen kost ITS pretty trancy
The intro...the intro man.
Roland MC202...one of the best monosynth during the 80's, the sequencer is super "robot" style; like an MC-4. Awesome sequence!!!
sounds like 707 hats ...and I think the table he puts his equipment is a 1870 mahogany from southern France.. ...also sounds like he had fish and chips before making the tune.
my fav acid track ever!
all time favorite. until the end of time.
i love this track
Prob my favorite from Squarepusher ,sure you can go over the top with technical wizardry but the vibe in this does not have a tutorial.
I've screenshot your comment and will frame it and up it on a wall.
not even kidding.

Can’t believe this is 25 years old, the fucking daddy, for real.
Andy (his bro) posted the comment years ago. Author is Squarepusher

@@lolo-du7xe he probably meant in a good way...
damn, I want some fish and chips now.
@ceephaxacidcrew nice 1! The beggining definitely sounds like sh-101
I think my intestines need surgery.
Great. Opening reminds me of klaus schulze Kontinuum.
its both a 303 and a 101
Wweeeeeee!!!
goodbye mybrain
неплохо
Who else had the balls to go 15mins with their traxk?
Aciiiiiiid !
@09fod Yeah i would say it sounds more SH101, I don't think Tom ever used a 202?
this is the greatest shit
SH101/303. Ceephax(Andy Jenkinson) wrote it.
Source?
Ceephax!
wow cool! thanks for the info
Really? It kind of sounds ceephax-y. But this got released in 1994. Andy Jenkinson would be 15 years old. He did his first gig in 99 I think. Where does he say this ?
Read the comments below...Ivano was just saying that ceephax said that it was SH101 TB303, he didn't said he wrote it :)
I lost my shit.

That was a joke, Ceephax IS his brother.

AMORPH CONCEPTZ 'fraid not, I only picked that tip up from a random commenter some years back.
ha. I get it.
хотя не средняк
but thats an mc 202 right ?
Should be about 1995.
正直Acidに関して言うとrichardよりTomに軍配(個人的に)
Its actually, Whooshi. No "K" mate. Great tune.
Why's that then? The artwork on the EP has got it wrong and you're good mates with Tom Jenkinson and he told you it was printed wrong?
LOL
maybe I should give a remake a try.. I do have all the necessary hardware!! >D
+slackdave mc202? or 303? I can't tell.
Masterpiece
When I first heard this song I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Every part just insanely well-crafted.
master of sh-101/mc-202 melodies. this and Theme From Ernest Borgnine are pure gold
He never had a 202
No matter how beautiful the music is, there's always going to be some wanker hitting the dislike button.
Hands down my favorite Squarepusher track ever!! This is my go-to...

Eindelijk terug gevonden Whooshki!!!!

Euphoric violence
Wow, didn't even notice it was Ceephax that made the comment. I stand corrected lol.

ok, now i need to get this.nice tb insert by the way.
I love this!
The love of my life introduced this to me and I’m forever grateful. 🌹🌹🌹
So AWESOME!!!
Love this, by Tom! Does anybody know when it came out? No idea what sort of equipment was used!
This is a pure journey into beauty (excuse my double dutch)
I thought it was over at 9:00 but it keeps on giving.

Hello.
whoa what. ive never ever ever heard this.
Exactly what I feel like right now!
The main lead is NOT TB-303
yeah sounds like an mc-202 and he used that a lot back then
caniaccombo Indeed, that device's sound is present in a lot of older works of him.
like plastikman ?
