I subscribed to her channel right away and first thing I saw was, "Firecracker Salmon". And I just thawed a sockeye for din din. Was thinking about trying a new recipe for it and now I know I am. Thanks again!
If you’re someone that is always skeptical of “crispy chicken wings” recipes online, because they ALWAYS let you down, look no further. This is THE BEST fried chicken wing recipe I’ve ever had. No reason to make them any other way. I can’t eat a wing unless it’s super crispy, and these delivered. Don’t know if I can spend the $20 on avocado oil every time, (or every 5th time) but dang. Best wings I’ve ever had.
I clicked so fast. I’m obsessed with Korean food especially their Fried Chicken. It’s hard to chose between the Fried chicken from Korea and the Philippines. They’re both so good.🤤😋🍗
Just came here to say this is one of my favorite channel follows! I watch every new video as soon as it shows up. My wife knows you as “that online cooking show guy you like” 🤣
Man o man. I Love your content. I always watch the following. Gordon Ramsey, Guga, Sam the cooking guy and best food review show ever. But I have to say I love your videos. You Sir are the best! Cant stop watching the videos. Good job!
0:23 - 0:35 I FELT THIS, right up to that Caffeine HIT🤣 Master Sergeant Gilbert lookin' too much like if Johnny Mo from Kill Bill and Col. Sanders Had a spice baby with that hairpiece🤣💀
I have to try this recipe, looks delicious. Tony Chachara’s seasoning are great, especially on wings, and burgers. I also add extra garlic and onion powders. I bake my wings in my toaster oven for 50 minutes skin side down then turn and broil skin side up for 15 to 20 minutes. Make a sauce with your favorite hot sauce mixed with melted butter. Enjoy!
Have never gone wrong with one of Sonny’s recipes. My favorite is the Chicken Schnitzel and all I can say is WOW! Add the best crispy potatoes and a salad and I’m in heaven, unless Sonny would do the cooking! I’d be more then happy to do the clean up.
I recently discovered your account and I was LOVING your vibe THEN you started hitting your fridge. I never smash the subscribe button so hard because DAMN THATS RELATEABLE!!!
50 degrees below freezing....very profound statement....so I tried this concoction and to my happy trucker ass surprise it was really good....so thanks for posting this.
As a korean, I don't think this is "korean fried chicken". Korean fried chicken sauce is made with ketchup and gochujang(and sugar and stuff but those two are key ingredient). Also, a lot of fried chicken restaurants in korea do double batter on their fried chicken. Look for 양념 치킨 and 후라이드 치킨 on YT for authentic recipes. But this also looks delicious so i would try this someday. Thanks for the fantastic videos sonny!
The process and batter are inspired by Korean Fried Chicken :) While the sauce was my own, I wanted to be sure to give the proper nod to the Korean cuisine 🥰
I get the feeling we're watching Jimmy Simpson's doppelganger and stuntman. The healthier meals get me hooked. The decadent one's keep me coming back. Loving the channel. Binging, begin!
I love the awareness you preach about the shitty “vegetable”/seed oils, everyone should realize how awful they are for you! Shame avocado oil is so expensive, but it’s definitely worth it.
Agreed, they are awful, and they also have low flash points making them bad for frying anyway. I do love avocado oil, but usually opt for grape seed which is also expensive but not quite like avocado.
Except that what he said about vegetable oil is complete BS. Canola oil is is fine. It is not partially hydrogenated as he says. This guy know nothing about food or cooking.
@@davidwaring3533 "Most canola is chemically extracted using a solvent called hexane, and heat is often applied which can affect the stability of the oil's molecules, turn it rancid, destroy the omega-3s in it, and can even create trans fats. “Cold-pressed” canola oil exists but is very expensive and hard to find" He knows nothing about food bc he warns people off cheap crappy oils? Really?
Your cooking videos makes my day like I enjoy it and also learn something ☺️ the right way love you bro keep up the good work I absolutely love your content ☺️❤️♥️. And you know I love you and I'm out 😘💞🤣
Honestly most often I don't remember the recipe...I watch it for the entertainment value....so fuckin funny...but also the dude is an awesome cook...this guy is a Star...no doubt about it.
Cornstarch in Lowry's is there to prevent clumping. On many shredded cheese-in-a-bag, there is a minute amount of cornstarch in it to prevent the cheese from sticking to itself. This is why it is often hard for shredded cheeses to melt down in sauces. The cornstarch acts to thicken the melting sauce process...
I love it that your ingredients are so top drawer, down to the organic cane sugar. I just got turned on to that exact brand of fish sauce, and used it to marinate some chicken for a red Thai curry recipe. It came out awesome. Do you feel your Korean chicken wing recipe could also work for chicken tenders? (I'm also sure that your corn starch was non-GMO, and I say that because I also care about your health..!) Awesome recipe, I'm hoping to make this tonight!
I make fire wings for the average person. Put some frozen wings in an air fryer at 400 for 10 min. Take em out and toss em in a little bit BBQ or Buffalo sauce and put them back in for 8 min. Toss them in a little bit more sauce and cook for another 2 or 3 minutes. Is so easy and good.
You can Subscribe to Phuongs channel right here!! ruclips.net/user/AsianTestKitchen
Thank you, Sonny! So glad you enjoyed the wings. I love the kick at the end!! 😂🤣
I subscribed to her channel right away and first thing I saw was, "Firecracker Salmon". And I just thawed a sockeye for din din. Was thinking about trying a new recipe for it and now I know I am. Thanks again!
I dont known why grandma isnt living closer either.
👀
The starch is there to keep the seasoning from clumping up into a big mess so you can pour it properly
You should also do falafel and hummus and tahini, you are one of the few cooks i trust...preeeeety please...

Any high smoke point oil will work, avocado oil is for hippies
My family loves you Sonny, thank you for keeping it clean so my kids can watch, learn, and enjoy. They have already made a couple of your dinners!

@@thatdudecancook yes thank you for that! I don't have to pre watch for any profanities that I don't want my beautiful nephew's to pick up. 👍
Ditto to this, thank you 👏🏼

Thumbs up for using avocado oil. Health is wealth.

That pepper grinder intimidates me!!!
Dude that mad scientist musical overdub during your sauce prep was perfect. This was one of your best vids yet. Great work!
Thanks John! I love that music it just gives off a nice curious vibe.

Corn starch is in the lawrys to prevent clumping
Can’t wait to try these! The cornstarch in the Lowry’s is maybe an anti-caking agent?
That’s exactly what it is because it has sugar in it
no, its for flavor
No, it's for Narnia.
