Pentel energel has been the best gelpen I've ever used so far. It also dries up real quick but the only and annoying problem about it is that it's not waterproof and especially for a person like me who has sweaty hands all the time, it's a big sad problem. 😢
I know I'm late 😭😭 but maybe consider getting those hand creams that make your hands dry enough to not sweat? I have some, and it's great because I never sweat.
I use belly rolls over marker and color pencils and ink for my art and it works AMAZING. So opaque and holds up strong on paper. Also Super good for journaling writing notes making lists etc.
Some people love em, some people hate em. Personally hate writing with them because theyre just too uncomfortable to me but i will admit its super smooth
honestly after using A LOT of pens atp I have come to the conclusion that the top few pen brands ( gel ) would be zebra, pilot (juice up specifically, i dislike juice formula ), and pentel. A really random sort of cheap pen that I ADORE though would be the POP Basic TM, both blue and black. idk how but the ink is perfection
i use the RSVP (granted, not GEL type) and i am so in love with them. they even make my handwriting look nicer. i prefer the energel pens though. sharpie feels like it’s scratching the paper (although that could just be me and a texture thing)
Pentel Energel and Uniball Signo 207 are both pretty smear resistant for a lefty on Rhodia paper. Zebra Sarasa are also good (and the Zebra Sarasa Dry are even better, though I don't have one of the Dry ones to test).
Caran d'Ache 888 Infinite, you won't find it outside specialty stores but if you're willing to make the trip you'll never spend less than $5 on a pen ever again
In my experience, the 0.7mm Pentel Energel writes more smoothly than the 0.5mm Zebra Sarasa, but this would also depend on how you hold the pen when you write.
You can easily buy mediocre quality gel pens in bulk for super super cheap anywhere in the world online. But if you're quite into stationery and have particular preferences for your pens, the cheap bulk stuff just don't live up to the test. I was like this, I didn't care about random gel pens till I realised that they weren't good enough for me because of the scratchiness and smudginess, especially with highlighters. Did a bit of research, and now I won't ever study without a trusty RTX pentel energel. The difference in quality is absolutely worth the price, for me at least, but a lot of these pens simply cost a lot because they're exported from Japan.
That Pentel has been my work/school go to for years. Only thing is sometimes the body of the pen pops open & won't stay closed. I always keep an old pen around in case i have to switch out the ink cartridge.
ok, it doesn’t pass the smudge test but the smoothest, “juiciest” pens i’ve ever tried were the zebra pen doodlerz!! so amazing and only $15 for a 60 pack!
You can put refills from the Pentel into sharpie gel pens. You get the ink quality of Pentel for cheaper. It probably works for other pens to.
MVP advice
I use gellyrolss as my daily driver for my artwork because the ink is super saturated with pigment.
I love the Pentel Energel pens!!
I adore any Sharpie pen. Especially the fancy silver refillable ones.
Are those the gunmetal ones or are they literally the color silver? I wanna know if I own any tbh. I’m a stationery junky
@@zangyloveskawaii6003 They are the felt tip, stainless steel ones. They are my absolute favorite.
i love papermate pens, i don't really like gel pens in general but their felt tips are great and come in so many pretty colors!
I’m a recent convert to MUJI pens. They’re like $2, come in lots of colours, and write amazingly well.

Try the uniball signo 207 impact, uniball vision elite, uniball deluxe, or the uniball one
Gelly role is beloved by artists, it's the best white gel pen on the market frfr
Pentel Energel all the way 😎
Pentel Alloys FTW💪
Thanks for sharing this helpful information 😊
I also had that Sharpie S-Gel but only the blue color.
i use the RSVP (granted, not GEL type) and i am so in love with them. they even make my handwriting look nicer. i prefer the energel pens though. sharpie feels like it’s scratching the paper (although that could just be me and a texture thing)
the energel one is so good and i use them in my school and they write so smothlly
Needed this, ty
Have you tried TUL gel pens
I love the inkjoy so much ❤
I used to carry Pilot's G2 all the time until I used a Sharpie S gel. The plastic ones are good, but the all metal ones are great.
Now have a lefty test these. Gel pens are hell for lefties, but they're my favorite because they're so smooth.
Pentel Energel and Uniball Signo 207 are both pretty smear resistant for a lefty on Rhodia paper. Zebra Sarasa are also good (and the Zebra Sarasa Dry are even better, though I don't have one of the Dry ones to test).
i subbed and now im binging all these shorts hahaha
it's the right thing to do 🥰
Wowww
I have the papermate inkjoy pens in the same color and in pink. I hope to get the Pentel energel pens.
I did not know sharpie do gel pen. Out of a few gel pens I tried I like pentel energel Clena I feel it’s the smoothest.
I like bic gel-ocity, though I've never tried any others.
Yeah I also use the pentels. Not cheap but worth the quality.
You should try the Pilot G2
Pilot G2 is the go-to for a lot of people I've talked to. They tend to be pretty affordable and write well for their cost.
Can you do the same but with Rollerballs?
I actually need the one that smudges.
Caran d'Ache 888 Infinite, you won't find it outside specialty stores but if you're willing to make the trip you'll never spend less than $5 on a pen ever again
Pentels are God Tier pens
Yes better then the sharpie pen s.gel that i have 😅😅😅😅

You should’ve tested them for water resistance.
I am left handed tho so when I use it I smug the ink that is still wet 😢

Pentel energel costs only 50 cents in india
Is pentel easier to write with than zebra sarasa?
In my experience, the 0.7mm Pentel Energel writes more smoothly than the 0.5mm Zebra Sarasa, but this would also depend on how you hold the pen when you write.
Bic gelocity: am i a joke to you
