Yes this works for anything as long as the TV has an HDMI port. You can shop around for a better deal though. Only thing is sucks if you are watching a movie but gotta recharge. I thought a wireless charger would fix this problem but it only slows the battery drain.

The products only showed laptops and PCs but I took a chance and got one for around 40 dollars and it's been working great so far. Like 2 years later and I'm finna getting things for my RUclips xD. I got the blue yeti mic and just waiting to upgrade my 15 dollar capture card from China. It's not bad but definitely not HD. Maybe it'll take another 2 years for me to get a new capture card 😨😂. I went the cheap route and regret it. :/
Be careful some cell phones do not support this option, make sure you ask or research if your phone has a sharing capabilities? If it doesnt your cable will be useless.

If the phone is not compatible, like Redmi phones, this is because they have USB type C 2.0 port. To make them work, you need another wire Type C 2.0 male to type C 3.0 female. And then you can connect the above hdmi wire and it should work seamlessly.

More than likely the reason why you cant screen mirror is due to bandwidth limitations with the usb port. In order to do the screen mirroring that he shows with the cable you must have a usb c phone that meats the usb 3.0 or higher standard and not usb 2.0. now some phones that have usb c aren't compatible still because the manufacturer designed the port on the phone to only meet the usb 2.0 spec. If you want to find an easy way to tell if your phone is compatible, simply type the model of your phone into the search bar of the link here and scroll down to comms. www.gsmarena.com/

I just recieved mine today. I have the samsung a70. When I connect it from my phone to my tv nothing happens. Help.
You Phone is not compatible
a70 is type c 2.0 not 3.1 so it cannot output video. all most all videos misleads saying "type c to external monitor".
My a70 also doesn't connect to external monitor and later i read documents and realized that it is indeed type c 2.0 version which is bad for 30000 inr phone.
