We have no plans to reduce the length of our videos. Our intention is not to provide entertainment, but education so viewers can actually make the recipe. To do that takes time and if were were to reduce the amount of time we would have to leave out important information and we are not going to do that. If you were to attend a class it would take much longer. So if you are looking for entertainment there are many other channels that may be more to your liking.
Hi Stephanie, please keep your videos as they are, they tell and show you everything, I always come straight to your site when I am looking for a certain recipe as I know that you explain everything so your not left wandering about any part of the recipe. I am from the UK and you also consider your watchers from other parts of the world regarding weights and certain alternatives to items that are not obtainable over here, so as far as I am concerned your site is perfect just as it is thanks.
Have recently been introduced to your site. It is excellent & very very doable... Each recipe is full proof... Thank you.. Stay blessed dear.. I am neena from India...
Another wonderful recipe. Absolutely delicious and so easy. Perfect for a quick seasonal treat and beautiful to present. I'll be making this again. Thank you Joy.
On our side only useful presents for Xmas, and this cake as a present is a nr 1 and I make the mince myself from the recipe of Stephanie, coz that mince is also a nr 1 for me as well!! for me and for everybody around asking me where I bought it.......
I love the content, clarity and length of your videos. They are very easy to follow along. I always have confidence after watching to be able to replicate the recipe. Thank you so much.
I can't believe this video is from 9 years ago. I guess I wasn't baking then. Anyway, I took the recipe ingredients all but the mince meat. Instead I cut up about 1/4 cup each of, dates, apricots, prunes, cherries, raisins and Mango all I had on hand ,also added white chocolate chips and lemon and orange zest and Brandy. On top I added Walnut peases and sprinkled some sugar.. OMG, so good.. thank you for putting the recipe up, and for letting me know that I can add anything g to mince meat. Love, love, love it.
perfect recipe for me! Never done such a cake before and it's a huge success. I also did the mince that you recommended on the other video. For once in my life I like mince!!! but maybe it is first time I eat a homemade one? Suprinsingly is to see people around to enjoy it!! Thanks a lot
You are amazing! You have inspired my sister and I to bake and cook :) Could you please do a tutorial on how to make crepes? I've been looking and I can't find the perfect recipe, and you are the only one who can help me out!
Hello Mam. Baked this cake today during lockdown. It really turned out yummy. Wish I could send you a pic. I just substituted light brown sugar with dark brown sugar. Thank you so much. Stay safe. Take care.
I love your Christmas-y outfit. ^_^ Watching your videos are really getting me in the mood for the holidays. I can't wait to try some of these recipes for different festive gatherings.
I am looking forward to making this for Christmas this year (minus the marzipan, which I hate!) Looks delicious and I shall report back thank you for sharing x
I enjoy your cookery shows. Made this cake years ago with left over mincemeat for Easter cake but lost it in the house move so thanks for presenting this so I'm off to kitchen to bake it. 🤗
Way to go Stephanie :) also there's the website where anyone can simply read the recipe so that slower internet connections have a friendly way to learn the full recipe. By the way, your hair looks good, it's kinda different from less recent videos :)
I am from Arabic country,, and we are using zaffran, cardamom and rose water in our sweets... It will be nice if you combine some of these in your lovely sweets..
Stephenie, I tried the most interesting cake first time..Mincemeat cake. I made this mincemeat at home n looks gd. I hope it tastes like yours. Had fun doing this. Wish I could share this pic. Thanks very much. Also tried your old fashioned cookies which look gd too. God bless.
Lovely recipe it has a great taste and is easy to make. Thank you for having alternative weights for ingredients. It is difficult working out what cup measurements mean when being used to the imperial system.
We have them in the UK. I use Dr Oetker Cake Release spray which is a bit pricey but is extremely good, nothing has stuck yet. You can also use any of the spray oils like Frylight. But wiping round with butter or oil (not too much or you'll have greasy cake) will work just as well. I would recommend some baking parchment as well to ensure it won't stick if you're going to wipe round with butter.
Hi. I like all your recipes very much. I have one request. If you know how to make eggless moist sponge cake, can you please show us. Because, I have tried so many recipes using condensed milk or yogurt, but the cake never becomes moist. Or is there anything that I can replace with the egg but still gives the same result??
This looks lovely and just what I was looking for for a simple xmas bake. I was wondering if it could be decorated with some icing maybe? What would you recommend please?
If don't have the granulated light brown sugar can I use the regular light brown sugar? and it'll be of same amount? Thanks, really appreciate your reply
Dear Ms.Stephanie! Have you ever baked a coffee taste cake? Maybe I think I watched the video on youtube once, but I can't find that now.If you don't,please bake it!! Please!!!!
When I first saw the name of the video, I thought 'How disgusting..mincemeat in a cake?'..then once started watching realised it's a language thing..Here in Australia mincemeat is actually minced meat ( for you I'm pretty sure you call it ground beef ) .To Aussies what you are using is called minced fruit..A christmas treat here are fruit mince pies...I'm pretty sure it's the same for the UK...fruit mince and minced meat...
would you try to make your videos shorter and resumed because im interested in a recipe but i get bored during the explination process? would you try that if you can? its in a good way,, and also sometimes my internet is kind of slow and the larges videos doesnt charge easily
we dont have these so called "non-stick-sprays" in europe at all. it looks so artificial and seems so chemical.... scary for me. we just take a paper towel and use vegetable oil ?

The mixer I use is a Kenwood Titanium Chef KM010.

Lovely recipe it has a great taste and is easy to make. Thank you for having alternative weights for ingredients. It is difficult working out what cup measurements mean when being used to the imperial system.
Temperatures are for a conventional oven and you should only use the bottom heating element.
Found one of your video's and now Im ploughing through them, wonderful!!!!
More are coming soon. Hopefully in a few days. Stephanie has been sick with the flu.
Awesome stephanie. Great video and great effort. Thanks for sharing. And hope you get well soon from flu. Best wishes.

I just LOVE the way you teach
We had planned to shoot this week but Stephanie came down with the flu. So hopefully next week you will see a new one.
Really good . Thank you for this recipe. Seems so easy.
It is a Kenwood Titanium Chef KM010.

A must try cake to make. I love mincemeat. A different way to have mincemeat.
we love you Stephanie. Keep going!
Not sure who makes them, but I bought them at Williams Sonoma.
This looks lovely and just what I was looking for for a simple xmas bake. I was wondering if it could be decorated with some icing maybe? What would you recommend please?
I haven’t frosted this cake, but maybe a lemon glaze or royal icing.
Thank you
Yes, the amount would be the same.
you're so kind my Stephanie
Unfortunately there really isn't a good substitute for eggs.
For this cake I used a granulated light brown sugar.
could you please do a recipe on panetonne? much appreciated & happy holidays!
This looks amazing
Thanks love this recipe, came out delicious
If don't have the granulated light brown sugar can I use the regular light brown sugar? and it'll be of same amount? Thanks, really appreciate your reply
Very nicely presented video, Thank you.
hi steph may i know what type of sugar do u use in ur recipes? isit fine(bigger granules than caster) or caster sugar? thanks :)
Hi! Since you are such a good baker I was wondering if you could make lollipops:)
Can you use condensed milk? I would have to add nuts too.
You could add some chopped nuts. I've never tried using condensed milk in this recipe so I'm not sure how it would be.
love the idea of marzipan!
Excellent. I like her kitchen..lol!!!!
Basically it is just vegetable oil in a spray can. I believe it is canola oil.
They have non-sticks sprays all over Europe, it is not just native to the US.
No more recipes?? WE MISS YOUR RECIPES! :(
May you do some eggless recipes please? :D i would really appreciate it :)
I caught the flu, hopefully we're going to shoot a new video in the next day or so.
could you please do a butterscotch cake?
thanks
Dear Ms.Stephanie!

I made this using measurements and the texture was a bit crumbly, slices fell apart as I cut them. Any thoughts why?
Maybe let it sit overnight before cutting.
@@joyofbakingyes thanks it helped. I made the mince from your recipe but it seem less moist. So I was unsure how much milk to add
would you try to make your videos shorter and resumed because im interested in a recipe but i get bored during the explination process? would you try that if you can?
its in a good way,, and also sometimes my internet is kind of slow and the larges videos doesnt charge easily
Ok Great.
How much does it rise during baking?
As you saw in the video, it rises maybe an inch or so.
My fave is the crispy crust..ahh..🇨🇦
It's better than the calories, imo.

Mincemeat cake?......:p
