It's hard to fathom what all I've got stored on those shelves (even for me) until I start diggin' into it. This is taking up 30% of my garage... I sooo can't wait to get the build started! PS. 😆😆🤣🤣
Thanks, Richard! It does add up, but I've been accumulating the stuff for more than a year, buying things as they went on sale to save a lot of money and spread the cost over time. This made it a bit more manageable. The van was slated for delivery by July 30...but now it's showing August 9-15. So, I'm at that "any day now" point in the process. Thanks for following along!
Such a great tour of all your gizmos and gadgets! I'm personally interested in your fridge, sink and battery system. The battery looks very impressive! And that fridge... Wow! Huge! Would love a video on your layout if you have one, and how all that stuff will fit in your build.
Thanks, Rachel. The fridge is large, but not as big as it seems. It's less than 24" wide, 26" deep, and just under 5' tall. I think it would even fit into a non-extended van, although that's just a guess. The solar system seems like a beast, but I'll save my judgement for when I actually get on the road with it. I don't have a video of my planned layout, but I will eventually do an entire van tour.
Looks like a great start for things for the van, LOVE the music. As for the cooktop, IMO, use it on top and store it when not in use. Looking forward to more videos and thanks for hanging out in the Live. ttys
Hey Beverly! Thanks so much for checking it out...can wait to get started! Watching everyone's adventures is holding me over for now...but I'm getting pretty antsy! 😆
For being new at this, you sure are doing well! I have a feeling with the type of content you are doing, you will want to set up an Amazon affiliate account sooner than later. I have failed at this, but mostly because my content tends to be more entertainment than how to. Once I finally looked into it though, it really only took an hour to figure out and set up, and then you can drop links to everything you are putting in your van off Amazon and make a small return if enough people click through. Happy travels, cannot wait to talk "in person" next week!
Thanks, Nate - I'm doing my best to take all the advice, tips, and pointers I can get! I do have an affiliate account. I didn't drop any links because (IMO) it would be unethical to recommend all this stuff I've bought when I haven't actually road-tested any of it. I'll definitely drop affiliate links when I can truly test these things and confidently stand behind them. Looking super forward to joining your upcoming stream!! Check my Community post from today - I'm not letting my van delay stand in the way of making adventures!
Amanda sent me your way. 😁 The Maxx fan is still one of my best purchases too. Looking forward to seeing your van! Happy to follow a fellow nomad. Cheers!
Yes, the heater is rated for extreme temps down to -50°F and for high altitudes up to 18k feet. The altitude sensor is integrated, so there's no additional wiring or installation needed.
Hey Jellybean, thanks for stopping by! Appreciate your letting me know about the sound. I figure running a channel, I'm going to be facing some learning curves. 😅
I didn't know 3/4ths of the stuff you had planned for your van. You really know your sh*t! Great video, John! ~Written by Sara 😂

Thanks, Mike! I'm on my way! ...and definitely leaning toward using the cooktop as a tabletop unit for the extra counter space. 😃
Looks pretty spiffy! Congrats on your upcoming build!
Thank you, thank you! It's really getting down to the wire now... and I'm bursting at the seams!! My fridge arrived today!

@@NomadicPride Awesome! Thank you! 😁
Does the diesel heater adjust for altitude?

@@NomadicPride Do you have a link? I am looking to build out a van myself.
