    This 4-part series focuses on healing eating and body-related issues using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. You’ll have the opportunity to explore some of the constraining beliefs and emotions that disconnect you from knowing what you want and need. You’ll also learn ways to get to know and work with the different parts of yourself who carry these burdens so that you can release them and more readily connect with your core wisdom.

    Jeanne Catanzaro, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and executive leader of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) Institute, who has specialized in treating eating disorders and trauma since 1996. Jeanne co-leads workshops along with IFS founder Richard Schwartz. She trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing®, and EMDR before discovering the IFS model. Jeanne served as the director of a day treatment program for eating disorders for several years and has written multiple chapters on using IFS to treat eating disorders in several books. For the past ten years, Jeanne has been focused on healing eating issues across the spectrum. Jeanne’s book - Unburdened Eating: An IFS Approach to Healing your Relationship with Food and Your Body comes out in September 2024.

    It's really hard to thank the inner critic when intellectually you disagree so strongly with the values it is trying to protect you from in the social space. It's even harder when there are real consequences to disagreeing with these values. Thank you trauma research foundation for making this resource free!

    I'm at 17min, taking a break. Imho it would be beneficial to have some slides or something to supplement your explanation. 😮 Hello, I'm Jade. Diagnosed DID, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and since covid lock down...homebound. I'm currently working with a life coach. She is learning about IFS to help herself & others as well as myself. Given that I'm familiar with ÐID I thought trying to learn about IFS too might help facilitate our connection.

    I can't eat. I did the meditation with u.
    The protectors reason said Im not eating is because I will throw the food up.
