I really enjoy watching your reactions to jelly roll. I've been listening to him since 09 and I'm going to tell you what he is the man. He is from just up the road from me about 20 miles in Antioch Tennessee. His songs have such a strong message. I haven't even got my mother who is 73 years old listening to Jelly Rolls Save Me and Smoking Section.
Jellyroll always preaches the gospel of the streets… only real … only truth the struggle of life is real.
Jelly is the best out there right now IMO. Please check out his live version of "Only" and "Love the Heartless."

I loved how the video showed the liquor store employee drinking from the flask as he’s watching all different types of men that are coming into the store to drink there trouble away and it isn’t until the last customer pays him in change, The employee realizes he hast to change and gives his flask away!

My dad was in the Navy for 20 years he was in Vietnam and he has PTSD. As a kid my dad was always drunk. At least he was a happy drunk not a mean drunk but he was always drinking and I saw that. I never wanted to be out of control of myself because of that. He’s been sober For 16 years now and we are grateful. I didn’t go through a spell of time where I would do some drinking but thanks to that I’ve never liked being drunk. Now I drink maybe once or twice a year

I love watching people discover Jelly. I've watched 4 of your J.Roll reactions & I love them. He is so incredibly talented. My son introduced me to him several years ago with "When I Get Rich" it's not quite so smooth, but still a good song.

As a mental health and chemical dependency nurse, you would be surprised at the age and spectrum of people out there that have these hidden addictions. We see people come in at rock bottom and we can’t always pull them out the first time, sometimes we wee people 10+ times before we are able to get to them, but they are good people that deserve to be saved, and you WILL NOT save them until they are ready. The best thing you can do is listen, don’t judge, and try to understand. I carry a few loose bills and Gatorade and snack packs in my car. And hope that one day I will see them walk through our doors . Don’t laugh we are all one disaster away from despair.

I definitely know what you mean bro. My sister's husband lost his battle to alcoholism. I have also lost quite a few friends due to drunk drivers as well. It's something that hits you hard.

I've always had to be careful around Alcohol as well because both sides of my family have long histories of alcohol abuse. I now only drink once or twice a year with champagne, but that one glass each of those days makes me want to get thrashed and I always have to keep that demon at bay.

@@TooBlunt It took me 3 attempts to quit smoking and my wife quit about 4-5 months ago and it was incredibly hard for her and I couldn't be prouder of her.

Totally agree! I was wondering at the beginning how it was that you knew about all the liquors in the video! And could I suggest you react to the French Canadian Group", song "Pour un instant" (for a moment). The group came close to having a carreer in the US, with French songs, in the 70s. They were very progressive, way ahead of their time. You will love the voices!
I hate reaction videos. They have no sense for me. But your videos TooBlunt are different, because you really care about the music and the artists. The lyrics go straight to your heart and and I like when songs take you back to your past and you share it with us 💜 love and respect for you. And Jelly Roll, well, how can you not love him?
Another wonderful reaction as always TooBlunt, I've never really listened much to Jelly Roll but I'm going to have to check more of his stuff out this is a very deep song. I've watched a lot of people struggle with addiction and how self destructive alcoholism can be, it's definitely something that will touch almost everyone in one way or another

Alcoholism runs in my family and I'm glad it never bit me. That shit runs deep and is way to easy to fall into, and way to hard to get out of. Like blunt was talking about, being homeless and dead ass broke doesn't even stop it
Jelly makes music for the people. His music is so relatable. A person can throw Jelly on and bet within the first 3 songs you hear you’re gonna hear something you can relate to and think damn I feel you. Can’t go wrong with Jelly IMO.

I've been drunk for 10 years. Detoxed over MLK weekend. Was sober for a week and then found out I might have cancer. Relapsed, but trying again this weekend. For those who don't know, severe alcoholism requires detox pills or you can have seizures and die. Benzo's and Alcohol are the only things that can kill you if just stop after chronic use. Opiate withdrawal just feels like your going to die.

Jelly Roll music always hits the heart and soul. The clerk, at the end, handed the gentleman the flask he was drinking out of at the beginning of the song. The clerk looked like he was sneaking liquor and probably came to some sort of realization after watching the different types of people coming in.
I highly recommend checking out his video 'Life' ft. Brix, and 'Tears Could Talk' ft. his daughter Bailee.

My boyfriend of 24 yrs passed away in May of 2010 2 days before my birthday. The cause of death was chronic alcoholism. Then my son died 12 yrs later Fri n fentanyl poisoning. Im feeling broken n very alone but I wont pick up a bad habit (other than cigarettes) because no matter how sad I get, I refuse to let drug n alcohol addition win.

My daddy passed away from Cirrhosis of the liver. The Dr's said it was from alcohol not hereditary. His mom and sister passed away from the same thing but never drank a day in their lives. A blood test can determine if you have the hereditary gene or not for Cirrhosis of the liver. I got that test and I don't have it either. I barely drink alcohol. Only on occasion.
I'm sure with you working at a liquor store you also saw those underage asking those going inside to buy if they would by them what they wanted. Sadly some people actually do it.

I have a bunch of liquor, but I seldom drink... seldom being maybe a drink or 2 a year. And for some unknown reason, people tend to give me liquor as gifts... some of which I've had for over 10 yrs and still haven't opened them. I still have 3 unopened bottles of Johny Walker green label, which they haven't made for a decade at least. I've thought about auctioning them off. 😂😂

i used to work at a liqueur store too but i had to quit after having too much experience with alcoholics in my family i couldn't bring myself to take part in selling it to people that obviously had a problem.

I was one of those houseless people and I was in at least two liquor stores three times a day never thought I had a problem until on day me and my buddies were all drinking haveing a good time tell something happened ( I don't know what the trigger was) and I snapped and put one of my friends in the hospital. Now if you read a of this.... I'm the one that carried him to the hospital and made sure that he was taking care of and I sat and waited for the cops to arrest me

I started feeling like going too far when was drinking a 1.75l of Captain a night on weekends. I cut way back and hardly drink now. If I didn't have my kiddos I would probably be gone they changed me instantly.
