I was there in 74 with two mates in a Mainline ute, we loaded the tail with wheat sacks and got up OK, still have some old photos we took, maybe the track was better then? We had more trouble getting down than up, blame it on too many Emu Export stubbies we drank. Then back to the gulf and diving.
Ronny. Time to print new T-shirts with "Invenimus in tenebris castra" on them. Latin for "In darkness we find camp". Or it could be your new channel motto.
Whoah!! What an adventure, keeping one literally on the edge of the sit through its entirety. Ronny you great doing those stuff. Keep it up mate.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome Stuff!!! We have issues with "stakers" out in Wyoming on old 2 tracks in sagebrush. When fire move through a stand of sagebrush they turn in tire traps! Really enjoyed this trip!!
Awesome trip and video! I love how empty of people a lot of Australia is, what a treasure in this overcrowded world to have that much open space. BTW what was that fossil?
Thanks for all the videos Ronny, they've really helped me get into off roading, a good break from all the people telling you that you need all this expensive gear to off road
Hahaha, "Lucky we are driving Land Cruisers then" 😀 Great video and what a trip, there is something about trying to get there without knowing if you will. Cheers.
So...out of Exmouth, turn left on Burkett rd and head down about 12 or 13 Km. Take a left and keep going. There's reception most of the way so google maps can help you out. If you go on the weekends, there's a coffee van up top that sells coffee tea and biscuits. Ok I might've exaggerated, but so did you guys :P
Skinny cross ply tyres are the best in stake country. Silverstone make a 12 ply cross-ply rag tyre in 7.50x16 called an Xtra Grip. MRF make 12, 14 and 16 ply tyres in 7.50x16 cross-ply rag tyres. Virtually never get a puncture when operating in-paddock, off-road, on-farm and off-highway. If you're operating for long periods in sharp rocks and roots then nothing beats a skinny rag tyre. All radial tyres are party balloons. You rarely get a stake with cross-ply tyres. But wait, they're not cool. How could a tyre that's 180 dollars be cool ?
Man I'm so jealous of those spaces... In the middle of nowhere. In my Country it's impossible to lose oneself. A day on foot in any forest and for sure you will find some road to some village.
Gotta love those undriven tracks! Just did one of those out in the NT, 4km a day, so many punctures. Just slow going but one hell of an adventure! Keep these remote videos coming! And make your way out to Central Aus!
Hi again Paul - I’ve mentioned about having nine Subarus comprising Leone Wagon, Liberty Wagon, WRX, Outback WRX GC98 then four Foresters before the flawed CVT intro and removal of coolant temp gauge which was also absent in my 2009 XT Forester which were deal-breakers for me - I prefer the Forester SUV because it has more room and internal height than the Outback which is outback capable in name only - because of minimal storage and crucially I found that the long front Outback nose would dig into track inclines very easily while touring around Canberra forests ie poor approach angle. Excellent infotainment system and incorporated into the dash rather than most car makers who employ the awful tacked on tablet look which is also a dust collector behind - needs to be turbo with conventional auto - John in SA
Awesome video legends fantastic to watch wow that patriot trailer is amazing bit of kit 10 out of 10 video flowed all the way keeping it interesting all the time Thank you guys for your hard work it’s appreciated!! Rod n Sherry TuffEnuf4Cruisin
These last two episodes...awesome...4Wheeling Aus at its best. Thanks guys and well done. 50 years. And here I thought Acacias only grow in Africa. My bad 🤠🍺
Great video, must get to Giralia Station one day. Seems like a waste of such a useful bit of kit by not using the drone to find where the old track was.
The reason Land Rovers dont have such a saying, is Landy owners aren't surprised when the make it to the top of such a summit ;) Landy owners are used to getting where they were trying to go hehe... Lets bring on the comments haha
When you guys lost the track did you try taking the drone up to see if you can find it from the air? I've been finding using a drone for that can be handy as all heck. Of course it means I'm using my 120v plug all the time to charge drone batteries but that's ok sometimes.
Good one , What was the white vehicle ? ambulance or camera car ? I had a look on Google Earth , the marker isnt on the hill , there faint lines all over the place , probably fences .

Old mate clearing the stakes as you drive through is awesome. He like a minesweeper
What a legend, my mates would just say “she’ll be right” and tell me to keep going😂
Thanks lads! I earned my refreshments that night
@@jarrodbasham6044 You earned some refreshments along the walk also in my opinion.
@@jarrodbasham6044 Did Ronnie offer to swap? You drive for a bit let me do that.... :-)
30:15 -- there's always that mystery extra crew vehicle that shows up in one shot somewhere! :-)
been waiting to see that crew vehicle its a white one, nice one sir
Ronny. Time to print new T-shirts with "Invenimus in tenebris castra" on them. Latin for "In darkness we find camp". Or it could be your new channel motto.
Nice!
Awesome video. Thanks Torbs for the “stake” info I found that up close look really informative.
Is it just me or has the filming, sound and editing improved to NetFlix level. Thanks for sharing such great content!
I love the intro. The sounds of Australia 🦘
isn‘t this what every off-road driver is dreaming about? great video Ronny!
Definitely, what a privilege!
Ronny with the goods early Sunday morning. Best way to start the day
Phone signal at the top, bloody amazing.
The drone seems very useful with finding the track, at least in the day time.
Ronny, can you lube the suspension on the trailer? LOL
thats his spine, not the trailer
Im living your adventures through this UK never ending lockdown! Keep up the good work!
Fight against it. It is doing no one any good.
Same, its rather tedious at this point!
Clearing the stakes in front of you driving reminds me of driving on Christmas Island. And it was my job to rake the crabs out of the way ...
Glad to see Jared's rockin the Rossi's! Good man!!
Wow, that's some trip! Imagine having remote areas like that to explore! Thanks to Denver for letting us all follow you on to his property!
Another excellent video....keep them coming!
Awsome adventure Ronny! Love that you opened up track so it don't get lost.
Great video Ronny. Loved every bit of it. Didn't realise till almost the end that there was a third vehicle too.
Amazing... Thank you for these vids. Keep up the great work. You certainly make it fun and adventurous.
Love the intro music, nice to hear some traditional Aussi Didge-step!
Cant find the Track anywhere 🥺😭
Watching from India 3 a.m ..
What an adventure! Thank you for sharing!! Wow, 50 years! Glad I got to come along, even if just viewing from my desk. 👍👍
Wow! Last vehicle through there I was 3 years old! Hard to believe there are places like that today! Thanks for taking us along, George.
THAT WAS A COOL EPISODE!! I was literally on the edge of my seat. Totally enjoyed thr entire adventure. More like this please. You great work Ronny.

Great episode! Would be awesome to camp on that hill for a few days. Watch the sunset, the milkyway and the sunrise, food for the soul!
Epic trip and video. More of this please.
Great video. Enjoyed every minute, Dahl-i Rhonda.
You are the master.
Awesome vid, Jarrod definitely is owed a carton for all his hard work! 👌
Epic video. Thks. Grettings from Portugal.
Really great video Ronny.
Absolutely FANTASTIC set of videos Ronny! Thoroughly enjoyed them. Thanks for sharing!
I reckon the whole video could have been the sunrise at 19:30 and I'd have been just as pleased. Beautiful area.
Brilliant Rondogg! What an adventure. Loved it!
I don't think I've been here this early before! G'day everyone!
g'day mate!
Love your work legend!! Hello from Tasmania
Good one Ronny and crew
Seeing those to Cruisers drive out the top was the best part for me, well done guys, great accomplishment.
I second that mate....epic footage!
The engine sound is amazing...

Such and awesome vid Ronny and Torbs and mates! So cool and exactly why I subscribe to the BEST OFFROAD CHANNEL ON RUclips!!
Great work! Amazing to see just how remote some parts of Australia are
That snake wood looks terrifying. I’m from the states and never seen that before. Us up north usually just try not to hit trees.
Awesome trip and video! I love how empty of people a lot of Australia is, what a treasure in this overcrowded world to have that much open space. BTW what was that fossil?

Thoroughly enjoyed this one! 🍻
Awesomeness man 50 years 🙌 is long time 😍😍😍😍🤘👍👍"hi guys ronny dahl 4wheeling western Australia 🇦🇺" 🤘🤘
Very good video. Lots of info about 4wd technique. A camera crew? And here I thought it was just gopro, slr and drone. Thumbs up to your crew as well.
That was awesome Ronny
I know where you are going next I passed you and Tobes about 100 kms out off Paraburdoo along the harding River 👍
Twas 1 of your better videos , thanks !
Milking the ads brother. Still mint content.
There's a lot less ads when you Chromecast it !

"IN DARKNESS WE FIND CAMP" That should be written on your Ute somewhere Ronny. Good effort guys.

"in darkness we find camp" should be a bumper sticker also.
totally agree, getting onto that one
@@Ronny_Dahl I'd buy one.

In California we call the scratches down the sides “Mountain Pinstripe”
Called “Bush Rash” here in South Africa.
We call them Off Road Racing Stripes.
What you need to attach to your 4x4 is a "mine Sweeper" for all the stakes
These last two episodes...awesome...4Wheeling Aus at its best. Thanks guys and well done. 50 years. And here I thought Acacias only grow in Africa. My bad 🤠🍺
Trucks sounding sweet!!! 😎
😀😀😀Well done guys it was good to c how chuffed you were when you found out 50 years since to the top🚙🚙🛻
No ads on mine at all but am using ad blocker. Great video

Ah well, some people like a challenge,
That’s why I drive a Nissan!
And you can interpret that anyway you like. HaHa.
@@DMSVICAU Yes, the Juke must be quite challenging offroad ;) Its rather small though, enough room for your handbags? (jokes)
Love that you had full bars of 4g at the top of it lol
There is a Telstra tower at Learmonth airbase which is line of sight to where they were.
Aussie's always point at maps with a big knife!
You call that a knife?!
Crocodile Dundee style...lol
Good show as always
thank you for the detailed video in Australia beauty bush
👍 cool trip got there in th the end Question who was in the 3rd 4x4 ??
Thats the camera car
So is it 50 years, or twenty? Haha, old mate Denver needs to get his story straight. Either way, a great effort Ronny D!
No car has been up there in the last 50 years but the last motorbike that has been up there 20 years ago - :)
Well done guys, love Giralia & I try & get over there at least once a year. I am really familiar with those stakes......lol.
Good on ya Ron
Fantastic video. As always. Maybe you should have a better flood lateral lights... More angle (160°)
Living the life! Do you have any more sister, i want to come on your next trip.

Good motto for most guys thoughts at last call at the pub.
Like the new intro music ..👍
Good one , What was the white vehicle ? ambulance or camera car ? I had a look on Google Earth , the marker isnt on the hill , there faint lines all over the place , probably fences .
That fossil looked like a fossilised crown gear from a Diff. Maybe the last vehicle to attempt it! Great adventure film!
I expect next Ronny's video to be about how to try to polish heavily scratched vehicle body paint.
When the track disapears I go for the drone . . Whats invisable at foot level shows up from above. .
