I am a Mercedes fan, and have been for many years, and have owned several and still own 2 now. They may not be perfect, but what car is, but I think they do a very good job at producing some very good and interesting cars especially in AMG form. I think the A45 AMG is fabulous. Currently on a 2009 C180 estate. Resr door blocked on lock mode( actuator gone), rear light bulb plate burned( the earthing wire melted the plate), giving me light bulb errors. I still love it:D and hope to swap it to a C63 AMG or E63 AMG one day, soon.
Been watching since the very start, I'd love an A45 just couldn't afford the fuel bills, I sold my 595 comp to try and find something 'fun' but practical and ended up in a 124 spider and haven't looked back. Keep grinding proud of you man.
BMW interiors are slowing falling down the pecking order, they’re just too safe. The interior in this is spot on...my S3 interior with virtual cockpit and SS seats was quality too, but similarly to you mentioning here, you can go so quick but you don’t feel it...I can’t wait to get back in my factory order 595 Comp 🙌🏼

Also I had to make the same choice last month but in the Netherlands there are some other rules in play. Final selection was a45, s3 and m140. I chose the m140 after testdriving all. The deal they gave me with the xdrive was awesome and loved the 6cyl. Would have been just as happy with the other two btw.
Fun Fact: The A45 is the fastest 4 cylinder 2.0L hot hatch in the world. The new A45 S is apparently even faster pushing 400+bhp. I've always wanted one but sacrificing cars in order to buy a house

I like that car so much. With Alfa Romeo and bullsh.. passion car story is the truth that you got happy 1st day when you buy it and the day when you sell it! Great video! As an owner of one cannot agree more with you on the performance and practicality qualities of the A45 AMG. It is expensive to run though, as you rightfully mentioned in your other video. Have you had the chance to test an Alpina D3: not as fast but far more economical and potentially as good to drive? you have to look when you see a 45 go past when you change the induction air filter on a a45 you will see the diffrence by 100% trust me. The stock filter holds a massive restriction i have a gla 45 ram air filter tdi tuning box pushing around 430bhp.

Love my A45 AMG lightly tuned to 420bhp feels much better than standard, fun car with great sound, 70mph down motorway does 40mpg, local and short journeys with the odd squirt 25mpg, great car, bullet proof, launch control does 3.7 to 60 ,and feels it, I also own GTR tuned 620, that is a monster, but love the AMG, I love the RS3's as well but does not handle or look as good as the AMG, RS3 Great cars though, sound epic
i ended up with gla 45 with all options even got performance package front locking diff ..was a better option for me im not 30 or would have got a45 im 50 so a bit better car for me ..otherwise rs3 would have been 2nd choice

Well, just few corrections... It's definitely not hyperhatch... it may be fast to 100km/h, but that's it... slow shifts, noticeable turbo lag, no low-end power... compared to Cupra 300 (costs twice less) it's even slower from roll and taking turns, because 4wd losses and weight... BUT ... AMG is a winner on its own
How is the auto gear box in it ? Does it kick down well i have the new golf r 7.5 dsg love it but was thinking of getting the a45 next year only really keep my cars for 2 years so time for a change
I really like the gearbox on this. There are some horror stories about A45 gearboxes but I can see why. The gearbox takes ages to full warm up to optimum temps. If people rag the nuts off it when it’s cold I’m sure it’s not good for the box lol
1M is fucking expensive though, personally I test drove the M135i, M140i, M240i and the A45 I round the A45 to match my personality and preferences better
I love the interior. It’s a bit more curvey at the rear. I think that car will sell well and a bet it’s been pegged back and you can get close to the a45 versions power with a map
I own a Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe (tuned) for over a year now (you certainly won't find them under 45k euro's here in Holland, so don't understand how it could be an option for you when you are saying a TT RS/RS3 is to expensive) and a C Class Coupe. I love the variation of both cars. After driving the Benz I'm so thrilled by the 4C. And after driving the 4C, I'm so pleased by the comfort leven of the C Coupe. You can't daily drive the 4C. That's just nuts. But I'm sorry to dissapoint you, an A AMG is nowhere quicker than a 4C. Especially with some other software, it will do 0-100km/ph in 3,5 seconds, 0-200km/ph below 12 seconds and a quater mile in less than 12 seconds. Well, try that with an A AMG. I had A Giulietta QV TCT before with a stage 1 tune, and in a straight line, from 100km/ph it was exactly as fast as an A AMG. Untill 220km/ph no difference. The stock 4C just demolished the Giulietta. See my chanel for some performance vid's.
Good insight here although you failed to mention how good the residuals are on the 4C. The cost is more expensive but due to depreciation you can get a much better future value hence lower monthly payments. Also out the box the 4C is 4.6 on paper to 60. The A45 is 4.2. Yes a 4c with a tune will do sub 12’s but a ecu tune on a A45 with a decat will get you 430bhp with sub 12 quarter mile times too. The 4c will handle better but at higher speeds the A45 will be quicker and is quicker. I have driven both so can compare. The difference is the 4C will feel quicker due to the fact it weighs less than 900kg 👍🏻

Warren Issel Not necessarily, I know a stage 2 R has a stage 2 a45, apparently the a45 isn’t great when it’s tuned. It’s 100-200 is like 10.5, whereas the R is mid 9’s I believe. Personal preference, I like the a45 but the price tag is ridiculous compared to say a fully kitted at s3 saloon or R

just do a proper personalized remap, you'll brick your engine with these tuning boxes

If you are in warranty then you prob should do official servicing. Out of Warranty could look at a specialist I guess?

Thanks man. It will be very expensive. Insurance alone is pricey. I pay nearly a grand with max no claims. Fuel £70 a week

Yeah that was high up on the list. But there are lots of them about. Don’t see as many 45’s I do like the m140’s a lot
