Thanks for this, Keith. Back in 1995, I purchased a 37-acre farm with my wife at the time. Charming old house ca 1860. An 1800 sqft workshop, and a 26 x 106 barn. Mostly open pasture land. It was idyllic, and it let me pursue some old hobbies and develop new ones. Your own trip down memory lane has me full of nostalgia tonight...
This is absolutely amazing. The work and craftsmanship here are the best. I can see how this obviously brings back so many memories to you. A wonderful video and as you and George Harrison said, "All things must pass". They do, but new things in life come along and we learn more. This was thoroughly enjoyable to watch. Hope you are still getting better and take it easy mate. 😃🚂🚂👍🎶
That was enjoyable, thanks. I've been watching how you use your Bahco adjustable wrench and that you mention it often. I never liked using (Crescent Wrenches) for anything other than occasionally around the house as they tended to be clumsy and hard on nuts and bolts. I got a 6" bahco wrench the other day and now I see what you are talking about. Thanks again.
Both informative and entertaining as always sir. Well done.
Thank you }:-)))
Thanks kieth another great video
Thank you }:-)))

Thanks for the video. What a great set of friends you had to help you. 😀
Appreciate you sharing this, Mr. Appleton, gives some inspiration as one day I'd like to build a ride-on railway some day.
Glad you found it useful }:-)))
Bloody brilliant! Cheers from Christchurch New Zealand.
Thank you }:-)))
The Smart & Browne is a lovely bit of machinery. The styling of the headstock reminds me a bit of a Monarch 10EE.
Yes, it's old but good .........
Brilliant. 👍
Thank You {:-)))

Greetings from Townsville once again. Many thanks Keith. As always, very informative and thanks for sharing some of yourself. Much appreciated, Col.
Amazing story.
I just realized you (at least on these photographs) and I look eerily similar.
Love this video, Keith ❤
Thank you }:-)))
Do you know if the new owners of your old house use the railway?
I don't know, I would doubt it ......
Enjoyed the trip down memory lane, didn't you have a much larger engine that you ran on your track?
No just the 0-4-0 7 1/4 inch gauge "Tich" some of the curves were too tight for larger engines.
👍
Hiya mate got a 9" diameter steel Franklin and bell boiler that may need a new firebox any suggestions as to anyone who can do it??
Try John Rex Model Engineers, here is the website address: www.miniaturesteam.com
at 5:02 there seems to be a audio issue other than that wonderful video Keith
Yes I know, but I thank you for pointing it out . . . . . . .
"...Electric glue gun." Keith, you say the most interesting
"dry humour" things. I'm quite sorry, us Colonials, have
butchered your language!

But where was the test tank?
What test tank ????
@@keithappleton the one you put in your backyard to test the boats you built.
The railway was build in 1996, the Bath (tank) in the front garden didn't arrive util about 2015 . . . .
Is the new owner of your house a RailRoad enthusiast too?
No definitely not.
Would you ever do it again given the right circumstances?
Yes indeed, I had a lot of fun over the years hurtling around my Garden }:-)))
Tempus fugit !
it most certainly does, I really can't believe that I have reached 70 - !
