    Thanks for this, Keith. Back in 1995, I purchased a 37-acre farm with my wife at the time. Charming old house ca 1860. An 1800 sqft workshop, and a 26 x 106 barn. Mostly open pasture land. It was idyllic, and it let me pursue some old hobbies and develop new ones. Your own trip down memory lane has me full of nostalgia tonight...

    Appreciate you sharing this, Mr. Appleton, gives some inspiration as one day I'd like to build a ride-on railway some day.

    The Smart & Browne is a lovely bit of machinery. The styling of the headstock reminds me a bit of a Monarch 10EE.

    This is absolutely amazing. The work and craftsmanship here are the best.
    I can see how this obviously brings back so many memories to you.
    A wonderful video and as you and George Harrison said, "All things must pass".
    They do, but new things in life come along and we learn more.
    This was thoroughly enjoyable to watch.
    Hope you are still getting better and take it easy mate. 😃🚂🚂👍🎶

    That was enjoyable, thanks. I've been watching how you use your Bahco adjustable wrench and that you mention it often. I never liked using (Crescent Wrenches) for anything other than occasionally around the house as they tended to be clumsy and hard on nuts and bolts. I got a 6" bahco wrench the other day and now I see what you are talking about. Thanks again.

    Enjoyed the trip down memory lane, didn't you have a much larger engine that you ran on your track?

    • @keithappleton
      @keithappleton  Год назад

      No just the 0-4-0 7 1/4 inch gauge "Tich" some of the curves were too tight for larger engines.
