Loving it.. just set the nippers loose with Polly drawings and castings. They had a good teacher. Now, little ones, buy a lathe! For the same cost as a loco, you can kit out a workshop. Learn the building process, and raw materials, for the same price, you can make as many as you like. (Martin Evans, and John Clarke’s advice to me. At 11 years old.. I’m now 50..)
Hello Wardle That loos like an amazing track I have a beautiful Polly 3 and I have a similar problem with what you have but instead of not seeing the pressure gauge I sometimes can't see where the water is so all I had to do was just sit back a bit further on the driving truck just thought I would help you with a similar problem I had.
Maureen Clarke, John’s missus, cocked up slightly on boiler length, by 1/8 inch, centre line is all wrong. But there’s an easy fix. Slide bars are off if you stick to the rules. Shim the slide bars with ten thou brass, drill a hole in the middle. Those long 4BA machine screws..
I bet I know Polly better than Andy Clarke does! I grew up with John and Maureen giving me advice. Can behave like a bag of spanners. Mine is original. Inches and thou. Andy converted the drawings to metric. And there-in lies the tale. It should be 8BA, 6BA, etc. Fine tolerances..
I love the miniature engine. She's so adorable. I'm just missing your model railway. My heart is crying to see Little Miss 57xx running again. I can't help thinking about my little steamy sister in 00 gauge form.
Amazing I would love to have this in my garden. Nice job fella
You and me both!
Wonderful garden, railroad, and tour!
Glad you enjoyed Stan!

Thanks for watching!
Looks like it’s setup as dual guage
Indeed, both 5” gauge and 3 1/2” gauge
@@WardleRestorations as I thought. Should have mentioned it in the video. 1 demerit point.
What loco is Polly based on?
Not entirely sure but it’s narrow gauge!
Hi Ollie, did you sell your class 25 ? . great videos 👍
Yeh I wasn’t a fan of the kit to be honest but I have a couple of steamers now anyway 🙂

the OO should be returning soon, as you can see I’ve been super busy with the 5” gauge stuff!
It's 5" gauge, it's live steam, what's not to like?
Exactly! haha
