That’s all he remembered till the day he died and the love that you had for Frank will never die, but I’m so happy sir that you continued your relationship with your dogs and you followed your heart. God bless you and your wife and thosewonderful wonderful dogs! my wife and I have been rescuing Doberman pincher since 2003 she passed away. I moved to Arizona. I’m 70 years old still rescue dogs and I love them.💕
It makes me so happy to picture a bunch of the hardest mother fuckers in the world, collectively coming together to smuggle a dog home, out of a warzone....Holy fuck I love this country.
I had a black lab I grew up with as a kid for 14 years. One morning I went out to go to work, when I was 20 I think, and he was laying under my driver side as always. I went to give him his breakfast and he didn't move. I paused for a minute thinking please no and kneeled down to wake him up becuz his hearing wasn't good and he was cold and stiff. Broke my damn heart. I called outta work and went to my parents and buried him where he lived most his life. He'd been run over by 2 trucks and a school bus, got a disease from the buzzard shit behind the house and survived all off that. He was one tough dog. About halfway thru his life I was headed to play baseball when a guy stopped in the road infront of me and literally thru a cardboard box outta the bed of his truck n puppies went everywhere. I picked em up went back home and put em up quick and went to my game. The next few days I gave all but one away. I kept the little girl dog. She looked like a blonde lab but was the size of a beagle. Trained her to tree squirrel and she went everywhere with me. She ended up getting a big tumor on her brain that started pushing out her eye and had to be put down. I was probably 22 then. I decided then I couldn't never deal with that again and stayed away from getting pets. Here I am now pushing on 29 and just found another dropped puppy in the same spot I found tater so I took it as a sign n brought him home. He's a little pit mixed with something and he's my best friend lol dogs are the shit. I really miss chipper and tater but Roscoe is filling the void
Who the fuck gave this video a thumbs down? This guy served our country, saved a stray dog and treats his dogs with love and respect! What the actual hell people?

God bless you for saving Frank. It’s these stories that restore my faith in humanity. I’m so sorry you lost him. You gave him the best life he could ever ask for and saved him from a very hard life he would have had if you hadn’t have rescued him! You are doing Gods work 💗🙏
So sad you lost him , but at least he was loved and cared for till the day he died . a Hero in more ways than one , thank you (Gold Star family member )

that is awesome man, that is love. I cannot wait to find that again. i had a pup named Max that i rescued....a fighter just like Frank. He had kidney failure and we had to put him down late 2018 He died in my arms and I hope I am that Brave to meet my maker as Max was. It was about sunset when we did it. It was beautiful outside, and just quiet and beautiful outside. After Max went home to God, These big black clouds rolled in and it started to rain on us. It had to have been a sign. I used to get so sad to talk about it, but now i realize these are tears of joy. thanks guys. You and Katie are amazing Shawn and I am a different person now that I have you as a Role Model. I just wish my Max could have seen me healthy and sober.
If that doesn’t touch your heart and soul you should locked away for life!!That was an amazing story of a warriors perseverance overcoming hardship and heartbreak. I am proud to witness just a small portion of his life. That is a great man and what men should want to become!! Thank you Shawn!!! I hope to see more!!!
Incredible story. Loved the fact that they smudged paperwork for Frank and that other SEALS were supportive!!! Jeff and Jerry seem like they have a different approach in training their dogs, but they will have more tenacity, be fearless, and never quit because of that. The bond between human and dog will carry them to the finish line.
Man all I can say is choked up n tears. A man and his best friend is a bond that is tighter than anything else. My Lab has a special bond with me more than anyone else is the family. Great video and look forward to more great stuff on 2019.

There are so many beautiful elements to this story. One for me was the look on his wife's face throughout the video. She surely loves her husband to no end. One moment she beams with pride, the next care, and joyful amusement at her husband's qualities. She no doubt has heard the story about Frank from beginning to end more times than she can count, but she still seems to enjoy hearing it; no, not hear it, so much as hear her husband tell it because she knows it makes him happy. Also, any woman who is going to hear the idea of moving to Alaska and starting an Iditarod kennel and saying...alright...I'm in, has to love her husband dearly. That is touching but there is an element of divine grace with Frank. Frank clearly was there for him throughout his time on tour and during the service upon the return. And he was there for him when he made that difficult decision to leave the Navy, and then he died by accident but not in vain; or, so it seems to me, because to my mind that's where divine grace stepped in; after all, had Frank not died, he never would have searched for a way to replace that relationship, and thus never ended up in Alaska with his Kennel, where he clearly is happy and feels the sense camaraderie he experienced as a Seal. I'll be keeping up with the Iditarod moving forward.
Thank you Shawn for letting Jeff tell his story. I've been looking forward to this since you 1st showed his dogs. Not afraid to admit I shed a tear. Awesome story.
Thanks Shawn, Thanks Jeff, and Thanks Jeri! Ya'll (I'm from Texas so yeah, Ya'll) are superheroes, not just for all you do and have done, but for your big hearts!
Good job. Almost all of the dogs I've owned over my life (including my current hound Hondo) I found half starved & hypothermic. Saving them actually saved me. One vet to another... You got this.
Wow! What an unreal story! Firstly, RIP Frank, sounds like he was one of a kind and an awesome looking dog! Secondly, thanks for letting us have a look into your lives in Alaska....absolutely beautiful setting for your kennel! Me and my 185lb Mastiff “Titus” will definitely be sponsoring some of your pups. Keep up the amazing work guys, cheers
Poor Frank :( At least he had the chance to live a happy life and even his demise was better than living a life in such a terrible environment. Rest in Peace Frank
Awesome video bro.. thank you for sharing this story. Thank you Reid for saving that baby and showing him love that he would never have gotten in that shit hole! I'm sorry for your lost bro.. Fuck Peta and the Humane Society!

What an amazing story. Once again the never quit mentality is what drives home. If he gave up, frank would never have gotten the extra time that he did, feeling of grass etc. Thank you sir.
God Bless our Military men and women! Gotta tell ya guys - as a huge dog lover, this one went straight to my heart. Jeff, please, please, do not let this be the last video like this - I for one pledge my 100% support, right here, right now - just plain love what you and your wife are doing. And Shawn, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention, I'm a big fan of yours already.
Wow! I love this story! I felt like crying myself! Reminded me of my childhood dog. Thx Vigilance Elite and Frozen Trident for all the great stories you guys share with us. God Bless!
Looking forward to seeing this vid, the people who have thumbed down this video are lacking humanity and I really feel sorry for them as human beings, it’s so sad when people lack empathy and are basic amoebas.
This guy is seriously a fucking hero. Thank you for your service and service to animals. My dogs were my life. I can not wait to get another few dogs. I salute you and your wife.
Road Glide for real you must be a real jack ass not to get touched by this video I thought it was a great story and he speeds real well . Probably some dumb ass kids trolling
Shawn, thank you for sharing these types of amazing and inspirational stories with us. God Bless Jeff and Jeri as they continue on their journey and goal of building a world-class kennel. It's great to see that they haven't lost sight of their values in that the care and love for the dogs is the most important thing to them. Winning races is secondary. Regardless of whether or not they ever win a race, they're winners in my book. God Bless them. May we all be blessed with the friendship, love and loyalty of a ”Frank” during our lifetimes.
To hell with the losers that thumbed down this video. Love this story, cried when you mention Frank dying, lost my little buddy in May, it still hurts but I love dogs and will eventually get another. Good luck to you Jeff and Jeri and you team of dogs.
Losing your little buddy is tough. I went a year with out getting another dog and Jeri actually forced me to get our pet dog, Eleanor. Best decision I ever made. Don't do what I did and deprive yourself of the love that only dogs can give you. Cheers!
Thanks, I will soon my birthday is in February so I may just get as a birthday present for myself. Again good luck to you guys, I will be watching from Texas.
I feel kind of stupid with red waterry eyes right now... but it's a great story and reminded me of the one dog in my housepack who died of cancer, just before we moved to my current assignment. Great video and great people you get to work with too. Thanks for sharing...
This is such an inspirational story. Many great soldiers don't get the recognition they deserve, they are willing to sign the dotted line and risk their life so that others can live. Thank you Shawn and Jeff for your service.
It was a real pleasure to help as much as I could. I hope this brings what they are doing up there in Alaska to light so that everyone can see. Thank you for watching.
Real heroes don’t wear a cape or shoot a ball, they put on the uniform and do the right thing. Kudos to him for doing the right thing and thank you Shawn for sharing his story.

@@frozentrident3686 thats amazing! Well so far your wonderful story made it all the way to Germany :) Its just amazes me everytime how much those little shitters can have a positive impact on our lives :)
Dogs are special animals. They are a great example of how people should act. Unconditional love, ability to interpret how you are feeling, desire to please, active, curious. I think everyone should own a dog at least once, and my guess is once you get one you will probably get others.
I'm a disabled veteran, former leo, short, ugly. But, obviously not a real man because my eyes started leaking. God Bless you, Shawn for bringing out this story. And bless you all!
I really enjoyed this and I'm glad to hear that he's making a name for himself. I'm enlisting next week and I'm so excited to be apart of something bigger than myself and to have that second family!
I always love it when people say “oh you can’t have hunting dogs(or working dogs) that are house pets...” because my hunting dogs are my pets, they stay outside all day year round in a decent sized pen with nice doghouses then get to run around whenever I get home and sleep inside at night. Even though I treat them like my buddies and not like my property like some dog owners do they have never quit on me, ran away, or been out ran by other “strictly hunting dogs”.
Great Video Shawn and it just reinstates what the Navy Seals brotherhood is about. Navy Seal brotherhood is a tight bond, it doesn't matter if your still in the service or out of service. Once a Seal always a Seal and once in the brotherhood always in the brotherhood. This just show me that Seal never let other Seal go thought anything by themselves and they are always part of a team. I bet you can call a Seal buddy at anytime of day/night like at 2:00 AM and he will gladly come and help you with anything. Shawn I bet you helping him " My name is Jeff" lol but I bet Jeff feel loved and that he is not alone and will not face anything alone. I wish to have a tight brotherhood like the Seals have, to always be able to count on my team or another Seal. Thank You Shawn for giving exposure to Jeff and helping him start something new and having his back. I bet Jeff feel's loved and happy inside and may or may Not show it. Your a really Greeeeaaaatttt Pal, Buddy, Friend, Seal Team member, and overall a Amazing Human bean and wish we could have more like you walking the streets. I would love to meet you one day, but I am in Cali. Navy Seal mindset just kick in told myself it's mental and if I put my mind to it I can compilation anything like one day going to Florida and meeting you or if you came to California. Have a great and amazing day. And THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.. And remember Shawn we your loyal viewers may not be tight as a Navy Seal brotherhood but we are still here for you, whenever you need us or need help in anything. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see more.

Thanks Shawn, Thanks Jeff, and Thanks Jeri! Ya'll (I'm from Texas so yeah, Ya'll) are superheroes, not just for all you do and have done, but for your big hearts!
Beautiful story.
Wow man, Jeff you're awesome!
Thank You Bruce!
This is amazing, thank you for giving him a voice.
Thank you for watching.
Awesome video bro.. thank you for sharing this story. Thank you Reid for saving that baby and showing him love that he would never have gotten in that shit hole! I'm sorry for your lost bro.. Fuck Peta and the Humane Society!
Thanks for your service, and ur are a perfect dog owners. You know how important it is for you to take care of them and for them to take care of u guys mentally and physically. What a great place to live and enjoy life for both of you. You guys are very lucky to have each other. Good LUCK and I ll be watching updates.
Cheers man
Thanks Andy!
I give Jeff and Jerri my best wishes to hopefully qualify for that race in 2020
Thanks Maxwell! Our first race is less than a month away!
What an amazing story. Once again the never quit mentality is what drives home. If he gave up, frank would never have gotten the extra time that he did, feeling of grass etc. Thank you sir.
Very true and I had to keep reminding myself of that after he passed. Thank you!
Hearing stories of dogs dying makes me cry almost every single time. In contrast it’s difficult for me to cry when I hear stories of ppl dying.
Cheers Jimmy, thank you for supporting them.
So sad about Frank. Dogs are amazing. I'm owned and operated by a German Shepherd who was given to me. Best gift ever. He is my best friend.
Jeff and Jeri are the best of people and Jeff is a true american hero. Big Fan here..
Agreed
Tracy Swope totally! I love them and their story!!
Thanks Tracy!
We have 3 stray Saluki mixes from Qatar and Doha. They are loyal, loving and intelligent dogs. They are truly our friends.
Wow! I love this story! I felt like crying myself! Reminded me of my childhood dog. Thx Vigilance Elite and Frozen Trident for all the great stories you guys share with us. God Bless!
It's our pleasure
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of ones’s soul remains unawakened.” - Anatole France
He saved that dog, and in return frank saved him! 😥
Looking forward to seeing this vid, the people who have thumbed down this video are lacking humanity and I really feel sorry for them as human beings, it’s so sad when people lack empathy and are basic amoebas.
I agree 100%. It's pretty sad that people can be that miserable.
They must be cat people.
@@frozentrident3686
Hey now, I'm a "cat person" but I never met ANY animal that I didn't like! Lots of people, though : )) All animal lovers are cool.
Agree 1000%
Hell yeah thank you to our operators
Gotta say probably the best war story I've heard.
Dogs make everything better!
This guy is seriously a fucking hero. Thank you for your service and service to animals. My dogs were my life. I can not wait to get another few dogs. I salute you and your wife.
What turds could thumbs down this? Keep rock’n it Vigilance.
Road Glide damn good question... I don’t know.
Haters are always going to hate.
@@ShawnRyanShow Basically terrorists with internet...
Road Glide for real you must be a real jack ass not to get touched by this video I thought it was a great story and he speeds real well . Probably some dumb ass kids trolling
Out of the 3,400 people who thumbed it up, a couple of them missed.
Dude.. these stories are detailed and phenomenal.
Shawn and Vigilance Elite do awesome things.
I honestly can’t wait for the Jeff reid podcast with Shawn.
To hell with the losers that thumbed down this video. Love this story, cried when you mention Frank dying, lost my little buddy in May, it still hurts but I love dogs and will eventually get another. Good luck to you Jeff and Jeri and you team of dogs.
I'm sorry to hear about your little buddy man. I know how tough that can be. God Bless
I'm sorry to hear about your buddy. Cheers and good luck with the new assignment.
So much love for Frank! It’s a great story. Thanks for sharing the Frozen Trident story with us all.
You're welcome. Cheers
Your wife is so beautiful and real. Wish you guys nothing but the best. ❤️
Watching this video just now from Shawns video about Jeff. Stay strong guys. I will be praying for your baby Jeff.
Pass on our thoughts and condolences, man. And tell the ninjas to stop cutting the onions.
Lot of onions this morning. hahaha
Whoever thumb this video down needs a kick in the nuts thanks for the video.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
Thanks for checking it out man.
That's for damn sure.
no doubt....9 soul less zombies...and counting..
I’ll hunt down whoever clicks dislike and I’ll fuck the shit out of their moms. That’ll teach them.
Probably anti military antifa types ... thumbed it down ... assholes
Proverbs says a good man takes care of his beasts. You did good. Blessings.
Went to the website and was going to get more info on sponsership. All the dogs are already sponsored. Awesome. Thanks for sharing the story.
Thank you for supporting. I heard a rumor they have 3 new puppies that I'm sure are going to need sponsorships soon. Cheers man.
Thank you so much! We really appreciate everyone who is part of the FTK Pack!
Great story. I would like too thank all of our servicemen, in my eyes, rather you saw war or not, your all "HEROES TOO ME" Because you signed up to go in and know body knows what's going to happen. So thank you all, your in my prayers.🇺🇸 MERICA
Beautiful story. Thank you.
You're welcome, I'm glad you like it.
Shaun, that was a great story that Jeff shared!! Sad ending but very noble!! Rock on Jeff and Shaun! Rock on!
Thank you bro
Thanks dan
That was truly wonderful amazing story time, great pictures (you really upgraded that video life!) and just overall Mega heart warming. Even though I only have two little dogs that hits me right in the chest
Hits me too man.
Thanks for watching. Frank had such a big impact in my life and it makes me happy to get his story out there. And to just see how dogs have helped me adjust to life outside the Teams.
Damn you guys! From the comments I knew a sad part was coming, I was prepared and I still couldn't stop tearing up. Great story.
Im grateful Shawn let me get Frank's story out there. He was a special dog.
Congratulations, you won't regret it.
That's so awesome man. Congrats!
That brought tears to my eyes. God bless all navy seals
Thank you, God bless you too.
Also I still have a hard time with those punks that shot Marcus's first dog...how could anybody do that...?
Thank you Alan
Its amazing how this story develops. Wishing you qualify via Franks spirit.
Thank you
Thank you!
