It always cracks me up how intros for children shows in the US, always, explain the entirety of the plot, just in case kids are too dumb to know what's going on 😭. Another interesting find by the queen of lost media 😌 💅
It might be because the US shows are constantly looking to get new viewers in throughout the series, and this came about as a way to basically pitch the show to a newcomer who just stumbled upon it.
@@MemesToa Yep kids shows needed to be episodic if a kid missed one they still wanted that kid to tune in next time rather than getting confused n turning it off. That happened to me a couple of times when i was a kid and i would get so frustrated
It'd be like if that Dragon Ball LA movie came out before the anime was ever dubbed. Or like what happened to tokusatsu shows, Super Sentai/Power Rangers, Metal Hero/VR Troopers/Beatle Borgs, or Gridman/Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad.
Incredible find. Man, the 90s would've been SO MUCH DIFFERENT if this became a thing. I'm just imagining this going toe to toe with Super Human Samurai: Cyber Squad.
These 5 stations seem very impractical, wouldn't you want all of that in one station? Having to move all that energy across vast space distances is really inefficient, you spend half the energy on just moving stuff around :D
The power one at least makes some sense, you can beam power around space (or back to Earth) with giant lasers. That’s how a dyson swarm would work. As to separating agriculture and manufacturing… that’s a lot less plausible. Perhaps they wanted to ensure an industrial disaster didn’t also destroy all the crops, but… Still, especially since they all occupy different angles of the same orbit, you could probably send stuff from one to the other just by punting it out the “window” and decelerate ever so slightly - then wait, and wait, and wait. Sending stuff back down to Earth should also be as simple as aim, a few well timed short deceleration burns, and wait. Now, it’s getting anything back up to orbit which is the real logistical challenge. So I suppose they might not even do that, if the space stations are self-sufficient. Asteroid mining could bring raw materials in without going in and out of the gravity well; a lot like how the moon is much more efficient than Earth, for launching ships to the rest of the solar system.
@@Game_Hero No, they're getting things mixed up. The game, Gundam 0079: The War For Earth, was made by Presto Studios, who made The Journeyman Project, a point-and-click game kind-of similar to Myst that came out a bit earlier (Myst was by Cyan). War For Earth is also infamous as being a bad, *bad* game--and I guess having the distinction as technically being the first ever piece of Gundam media officially released in the West.
@@ultravioletcombat5933 Can't believe that the same company that made The Journeyman Project (which is a classic) also did that godawful Gundam game. What a shame. I saw a video of that Gundam game and it put me to sleep.
Wow, thank you so much for this incredible Gundam project trailer. Here some lost promo trailers that i would love to see before to die : Escape from Jurassic park the animated series (i know it is now preserved and that some JP youtubers have seen it) and "Marines" (the animated trailer of the Kenner toy line for "Aliens").
Now I know we have something Gundam related that looks worse than G-Savior. At least we still have War for Earth's Live-Action FMVs. Those are priceless.
I still say Zoids is better. And it really is. Zoids would have made a good American cartoon. The mech designs are more diverse whereas Gundam all look the same. Same human shape with just a new coat of paint.

True enough but thats not an intro, its a concept pitch
Man, it’s wild to think what timeline would’ve been like if we did get these bizarre American anime adaptations.
To be fair, Guardians of the Cosmos actually showed promise.
Given some fine tuning, it could've made Saint Seiya popular in the west. Could've.

Gundam Wing: You're welcome, North America!

Thank you for uploading the Revolution - American Live Action Gundam Promo (1995) separately, Ray Mona.💙
This vintage CGI has such a neat look to it. Those space shuttles, and the space station clipping thru the camera, is especially nostalgic.
At least this is more faithful to Gundam than those Doozy Bots.
Ironic as DB was a Japanese pitch to win over Western audience, which they were behind...!
As In SD Gundam USA?

80/90s hyperoptimistic scifi that focuses on cool ideas over logistics and practicality.

You’re doing the lords work
I was worried this would never get uploaded. Thanks Ray.
Love the Myst vibes the promo has.
Funny you should mention that because the guys who made Myst also made a FMV Gundam game.
@@MacUser2-il2cx Wow really?

Yeah kind of glad that didn't come to light. But it's interesting to see what could have been
This is so 90s and I love it!
I would had loved this versión, decades ago this was top notch 3d animation , like Beast Wars hell yeah!😊
Beast Wars and ReBoot were good. The 3-D animation here makes me want to poke my eyes out.
Thanks for uploading this random bit of content
Is it weird that I actually like this concept?
Yes, it is.
ooh live-action Gundam what a bold move
Is it weird that I wanna try and make a Gunpla of the Gundam in this?
This reminds me of the Transformers: Generation 2 toy commercial
Fascinating
Now wondering what will the ending of the show
💗🌈 I Was Literally Just Watching Your Vids A Few Seconds Ago❣️ 🌈💗
I would have hated this if it had come on Saturday mornings
Very nostalgic

Wish this got two be a thing just like all of the stuff from from the volt
Remind me of cgi voltron
When u make a gundam from a soda can
It appears that the proposed Revolution series could be *inspired* by the Gundam franchise, but it’s not an official Gundam show.
Was that fuckin John Malkovich as Zeon?
This would've been kino.
What did I just watch? Wow, this does sounds like a Gundam timeline but with VERY VERY VERY bad American storylines and weird plots.
What’s next a live action Dragon Ball show made by these guys?
can you do a video about? everyone knows that song the lost song plz
need to know more
Watch the video discussing it on my channel! :)
Mhm... So many questions...
Anybody else thought of Nier:Automata?
this is basically a Gundam Seed / Gundam Victory fanfic made a decade before Seed assigned sciences to the sides.
Flosting heads in early 90s cgi - the movie
...wooooow. :D

in the UK Zoids had a Bcomic with Spider Man en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man_and_Zoids
