Maxiglide Tougher than Nigerian hair

I am 11 months post BC...woohoo, and this is my first attempt at flat ironing my entire head. i didnt use small pieces when flat ironing because I live in Texas and the weather is CRAZY and im inhot labs or sweating during work outs so i so saw no need for really straight hair. Plus it was just faster lol.

Really not understanding why you blow dry your hair before you use the Maxiglide. One of the things that Maxous said when he created the Maxiglide, he was sick.of blowdrying his clientis so he wanted to get rid of blow drying. I've been using the Maxiglide since 2005, I never blow dry my hair I don't understand. When you blow dry the hair before you use the maxiglide it just leaves the hair more dried out and less healthy. I don't know but that's just my opinion.

Justanotherhuman2 well everyone here is different to be honest what works for your hair may not work for mine. As to why I blow dry my hair prior to straightening it, I do this first because it takes my hair forever to dry. My hair is really really thick, and if I was to straighten it wet even with the maxiglide it doesn't get a straight as it needs to be or I wanted to be. I hope this helps you understand why I do this method

I had a conair for a long time and finally came to the realization that it sucked...tried a ton more flatirons afterwards, including the INSTYLER and that one was the worst of the worst. Im curiious about this one though

Have you considered using a paddle brush when blow drying? Less breakage x Maxiglides are awesome! Have a mini!

I'm Nigerian and Brazilian. Nigerian hair is not the toughest!!!! Even my Nigerian family have more manageable hair than the other ethnic groups in my family.

Yes ma'am, this my hair creamy crack free! Keep trying new thing, till you find what works for you because being natural does require some patience.
