This engine was developed besides BMW and was mounted on mini cooper works as well. BMW erased it of his production and PSA owned it completely and uses up to nowadays on his sport version models like 308 GTI.
What power does be4 withstand on slicks with a good grip or do you need a swap of another gearbox for high power? maybe from 407 2.2? I am building a high-performance turbo engine and I am interested in the tensile strength of the stock transmission and clutch
