Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how great of a cover this actually is. Darren kills it.

One of millions of reasons why I love Glee is that they show that there's a song for every situation that can make you feel better
I'm trying to picture Darren record this in the studio. He's so passionate about any performance he gives and its so breath-taking. What's completely different to picture is his character, Blaine, living it out. Darren gets so in depth to to the person he is portraying that he truly becomes that individual. That being said, I can't picture Darren recording this nearly as well as I can picture him acting the character's emotion out during filming. That is true passion of a genuine actor.
Glee is about high school teenagers living their lives and connecting music into it

I'm glad that they got a good strong voice to cover this song because a) It's Christina Aguilera, the biggest and best voice around and b) it's my favourite song to which means so much to me. He did a good job of covering it and I liked how they transposed it too to suit his voice :) Christina still blows him away though

Suprised that no ones mentioned this for a while, but Im so proud of Darren! He went from a youtube theater group to a bigshot tv show and still hasnt forgot where he came from or that some of us will always remember him as the curly haired boy sitting on a suitcase singing about having a home

This is really the only Christina Aguilera song they did well at. I love his version. Now when they did Candyman and Beautiful, i couldn't stand to listen to them. It's probably because listening to Christina songs is a curse. You get so used to her magnificent voice that anyone else sounds so....bland and unoriginal.
I still cry when I watch it. But the first time I watched it I was like NO WHY DOES THE SEASON HAVE TO END.

I like Darren/Blaine's voice, I really do. I like most of his covers. But damn, I think this one wasn't that great, Christina Aguilera's voice is much more powerful. I think Darren (or the writers of Glee, or whoever deals with the covers) should have changed the song to make it more "singable" for him. I can't help but think his voice looks so poor next to Christina's, even though it has a nice tune.
I swear, they just wanted him to have a shower scene, they were like here punch some stuff, yeaaaah get all sweaty, now shower yeah flex them back muscles, that's riiiight. because you're right this wasn't a very strong performance but they sure made sure the visuals were good.xD

I honestly think that you have to have watched it to feel the emotion, or have some connection to the characters and storyline. I dont disagree with you, its much harder to get emotional over glee covers when you havent seen the videos - I personally adore the glee versions and could listen to them all day long, but I get your point of view! They mean more to different people in different ways :)

I am glad that my favorite singer from Glee made cover of my favorite artist ever.Christina is diva with great voice and awesome songs and definitely deserves more covers in Glee. Anyway, I can't say either this song is better or worst than the original, its just different, both are great in their own way and I am happy about that.

Have you heard her song Save Me From Myself? That song really shows how amazing is Christina when she let those vocal acrobatics out and just sings with hear heart. She's a very emotional singer, but she feels like she has to do all the acrobatics just to proof she can sing (specially since she started like a Teen Pop singer like Britney or Mandy, but she can actually sing).

i cired so much when he was running after the train. [ i fine the whole episode( i've seen it like ten billion x's) but i get tears in my eyes at that ] I guess it's that they broke up & that i saw everybody waving goodbye, and me realizing that the season was ending too. oh and i was crying the whole episode ,when I saw it the FIRST time.

Everyone needs to quit complaining about Darren singing this song and pay attention to the lyrics. Yes, there are many characters that are fighters and probably should have been singing this song, but at the same time the lyrics fit the relationship with his brother perfectly. His brother has everything and Blaine is thanking him for that because it makes him realize that he needs to work harder and fight for what he wants.

I love both of them, they are actually two of my absolute favorite bands, don't get me wrong, but I'm just saying that it is very rare for people to not be autotuned anymore. It's just the way of today's music.
i could not have said any better BlueberryRoses, other characters haven't had as many songs but have had a ton of story archs yet Blaine hasn't had any so i'm very happy he will in this episode
