As a Mavs fan I have nothing bad to say about Green. Yes, he will never be an Allstar, probably not even a 3rd option. BUT ge has everything needed to be a really good KCP/Danny Green/Terrence Mann kinda SG/SF. He gives 100% energy every game. Fights for every ball on defense and can shoot. He was just a bit to passive on offense. But if given more of a green light, he can be a 10-12 PPG, 38% 3P shooting starting level 3&D SG/SF on a good PO team. No question about it.
All I’m sayin is if we can position ourselves to get Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey then we should. A play in game this year is nowhere near as important as a high lottery pick for 2025.
I completely agree. I wanna see them build a culture and start to learn how to win. But I don’t want to see them win to many games this year lol. I need a Top 3 pick. Cooper or Ace gotta be a Hornet.
I get what y'all saying but the competitor in me says screw tanking. No disrespect, but tanking sounds selfish to me if I was the no.1 guy on the team. If you wanna tank, then I don't want to be part of that.
@@RickMoon-om5enbig factssss! Ain’t no way the hornets tanking this year. I believe our players will try to remain as healthy as possible and really make some noise this year 💯
The acquisition of Josh Green most likely closes the door for Curry. Not enough roster spots for nostalgia. Hoping they will buy out Reggio Jackson and not sacrifice a roster spot for one of the younger players. Green also can play point and with the addition of KJ Simpson should more than cover the PG position. Simpson will most likely be 2 way which made Bailey expendable. Wouldn't mind a swap of Micic for Zeke Nnaji who can play both 4 & 5. Trade rumor of Bridges to Clippers for Powell and Mann would be a bummer. Better alternatives such as Hachimura and John Collins. Wouldn't mind a sign and trade with NY Nick Richards for Precious Achewa. Salaun is supposed to be available for Vegas.
i don’t have much expectations this year, i’m just praying for a healthy season for our players. Next year with that draft class is when the real fun begins
Honesty is melo/williams and the rest of the squad stay healthy and we re sign bridges . we have a chance to make play in or better….but that’s highly unlikely lol. Im happy w every move made except amari Bailey didn’t get a fair chance I’d rather have him than mcgowens. Also we need a 3rd string center or this team isn’t serious
I think getting rid of both Bertans and Curry is a mistake, really surprised they waived Seth with the amount of money he’s getting next season… guys like that who are elite in their craft are key for the playoffs
Mannnn basically they just need to tank til they win the lottery tbh just keep melo and bridges stay well under the cap and build around the #1 pick hopefully a talented 7 ft player that has a good all around game and good defense
Win the lottery as in....??? The key players are there now, why tank? This is like saying the young guys at OKC should tank to get a backup center for Chet. The draft just passed, the opportunity was there for the organization and they made their choice, no reason to tank anymore.
@@neoncharge2964 That the Pistons are fools! To pay worse and declining talent money like that is hilarious. That is the reason jokes are being made right now about everyone needing an agent like Tobias.
@@cwhite4339 yeah I agree. And even fools know not to pay bridges 30 per. There’s a reason nobody else has offered him anything to this point. He’s a 15/20 a year role player, if he signs long term for those numbers great. If he still wants 25+ then he needs to go on somewhere.
@@neoncharge2964 have you checked his stats? He is a 20+pts and 7rbs a year guy. He has been the teams leading scorer his last 2 season. Compare his numbers to anyone else in the league and 30 mil a year is the average for his numbers. There are several worse players making more.
@@neoncharge2964 also, he is supposed to be a third option. 30 mil a year is the average for third options. You talking about him like he is PJ. PJ was the seventh option and got 17 mil. The math ain't mathing 🤷🏾♂️
Really am loving the new moves they’re making, the Kemba hire especially made me happy.

Good use of their cap space for once.

look out for VJ Edgecombe too. I think he would be the perfect fit alongside Melo and Miller

Couldn’t agree more. Such a bummer that both our picks aren’t in Summer League!

Green a 2/3 guy.
Bro that quick bridges to LA jab had me dead 😂
Remember when JT Thor was untouchable when it came to making trades and we just stayed bad for no reason 😂
Is Amari on a summer league team??

Hornests should have done away with Brice. Amari Bailey never really had opportunity prove himself.
To me, Brice is a below average player.
JT Thor 21 years old dropped but 26 year old Leaky Black a Hornets????
L. Black showed promise and is actually one of the reasons we won against the Timberwolves in that one game.
On paper the Hornets are now on para with both Orlando and Miami, so Melo stating healthy is a must
Sam I think Amari will go somewhere and flourish.
I agree
Why would they waive curry??
Curry and Thor going to wild out this year
Sam! do you think coach Charles Lee can could bring the best out of James Bouknight as he has been invited to perform in the Summer League?
I have faith n our 1st rd pick
one move we need to still do i get rid of cody martin
Defence = gold this days bro
Kembaaaa ❤️

Tank odds need to be rigged in our favour 😅 please bro script writers help us outtt 😂😂😂
We must resign bridges
Still hating on Miles. Get over it and talk basketball.
Ok. His hometown pistons payed Tobias Harris 26 a year instead of miles. What’s that mean?
