    Somehow this applies to many creative fields. Working inside a box (solid framework) made by you helps you achieve your vision better than free flowing it.

    For everyone saying he is drawing a Pringle shape, the correct term is actually a hyperbolic paraboloid.

      @@productdesignermaker it’s actually not to long, and using the correct term for the shape helps people learn what it is really called. They might find it interesting and want to look up more information on about hyperbolic paraboloids. I know when I saw that name I instantly went to do research on it, turns out I did a whole college art project on hyperbolic paraboloids after finding out how interesting they were.

    Is there a role to connect sides? i find it difficult to connect the sides and what to connect.

      Take the line on the side elevation (for instance) and just follow along it until you start coming close to the line on the end. When you’re coming close, transition from the first to the second line. Work around each corner. I hope this helps.

    Wow this is so helpful... I haven't found many artists on youtube talking about this topic! Thank you!
    When I try to apply this technique to more complex objects like an office lamp, I stumble though. My construction lines get very confusing because there are so many and it throws my 2 point perspective drawing off.
    Could you show an example of this with a more complicated object like a robot?

    Is this like a rough take on the orthographic projection drawing??

      Only in so far as we have a side elevation and end elevation. They’re not positioned as they would be in orthographic, and there’s no plan view. The principle is the same.... more elevations, more information.

    Sir how do you hold and control your implement when sketching? I see that you didn't use your wrist but with the elbow and shoulder 😁 👍 Is that the secret for better line quality 😉 👍 🍩 ☕

      You've correctly spotted the methods I've used.... locked wrist, locked fingers & working from the shoulder. There are a few other bits of advice which I hope to put together in a video that will be downloadable from my website.
