Almost Bowled! 44871 rescued from Swanage a week after the 'SWANAGE BELLE' - 04/07/2024

A week after its ill-fated run with The Railway Touring Company's 'SWANAGE BELLE' railtour, LMS 'Black 5'-class 4-6-0 No.44871 finally got rescued from the Swanage Railway on Thursday 4th July 2024.
Here we see BR Class 47 'Duff' Co-Co No.47812 towing the '5' and its Support Coach through Totton on its way to Crewe ready for another railtour on Saturday.
And yes...almost got bowled by the Weymouth service.
