This Is Tejpal from RR ENTERPRISES
I am not promoting any brand or anything . I am a multi brand dealer I deal with all brands like Michelin Yokohama MRF apollo continental goodyear and Pirelli , this video and this snap was taken on request for premium cars
So Michelin was highlighted and Mr. Birla was also and is also a Michelin user and he is just so happy with the quality
When it comes to rating for the tyres it starts with
    1. Michelin high budget premium end
    2. Yokohama medium budget 80% premium with unconditional warranty for 18 months
    3. Bridgestone commercial tyres ( taxi usage )with unconditional warranty and
    50% premium
    4. MRF good tyres for city usage and occasional highways , company doesn't give unconditional warranty .
    5. Continental - we dnt recommend much because they are expensive but not worth the money with poor tyre life
    No additional special warranty
    6. Ceat , apollo , jk , goodyear just works for the sake of working , but no good comfort or anything

Continental, Michelin, Pirelli are premium, soft wall compound and silent rides with high comfort. MRF ZLX competes the above at par. JK worst for cars, never ever try it. Apollo decent one. Bridgestone is good and mixed response. Yokohama silent ride for first part and at aging it will be high decibel.

Just one more tip to add
    1. Whatever tyre you select,it's better to be less than 3-4 months from manufacturing date ..bcz rubber in the tyre loses its property if not fitted on the wheels.
    2. Wheel alignment- 5000Kms
    3. Tyre pressure- 33psi when 1-2 people and 35 psi when 4 people occupies.
    4.My personal preference in order
    A) Bridestone / continental/ Apollo ( all 3 are equally good and slightly higher price)
    B) MRF,Goodyear, ceat,JK ( cheap and best for its price and ofcourse it's quality is ok ok )
Michelin is like Sony TV and we all knew it's good and rightly said it's rubber compound is soft and suitable for good roads.

What about other brands like MRF, Apollo etc. Many uses cars in city only and drive less. What is your recommendation . How do you prove that the life is only 5 years? It is not meeting my doubts.

    • @tejjain185
      @tejjain185 3 года назад

When you take a comparison between MRF apollo jk ceat and all
MRF would be the leaders with the wide range of tyres at a reasonable price with good quality but tyres would be slightly hard , a good choice for city usage
Rubber tends to get hard after 3-4years so beyond tht the tyres start buldging

Bro. It’s a good video and you covered everything.
One small suggestion. The explanation on Aspect ratio was hurried up and misinformed. The aspect ratio is always represented in % of the tyre width. A little deeper insight into decoding tyre designation may have helped people understand better. Example, size of 155/80R13 means, (at rated inflation),
    155mm tyre side wall width,
80% aspect ratio which is 155x80/100=124mm. This is the height measured from the road surface to bottom of the rim.
    R represents Radial Ply tyre
13 inches is the diameter of the rim.
A lower aspect ratio means better cornering ability at high speeds and fairly safer at bursts.
    Overall good efforts.
    Sridhar.

So if we upsize due to reduction of 10mm of sidewall... Will this increase the thud of potholes or reduce them when compared to stock Tyres!!!! Im planning to upsize my swift tyres from 165/ 80 to 185 /70 .... Apart from drop in mileage and increase in grip !! What improvement will i get!?

If you drive your vehicle frequently , you can use MRF tyres . But if you halt your car for MONTHS TOGETHER don't go for MRF the tyres become stiff and develop cracks in the side reducing drastically its life

Avoid Using the Neutral Gear, this action will not speed up the car instead it will actually slow it down and not only that but the transmission cuts fuel to the engine that it doesn't get the proper lubrication to run smoothly. This can significantly damage the car.

If tyre height is more (side wall height - the second number in the tyre spec - e.g. 195 /60 - 60 is height) then car will wobble and drift - caz it increases CG (centre of gravity)

  • @KNR85
    @KNR85 2 года назад +6

13:16; When we are increasing the Width of the tire, we are not actually reducing the height, Actually reducing the Aspect Ratio.
(Aspect Ratio = Height/Width %) So, when the Width increases... The Aspect ratio must go down to maintain the total height...
