I’ve watched a zillion versions of LB too and though I could never be advanced enough to dance Nikiya, I think I know the choreography as well as any ballerina 😂
What a gorgeous role for you and I’m sure you slayed it.
I’d love to see more. I really felt your pain in the pre-poison solo. Omg. Plus, you got to dance with your husband. How great is that!

Forgot to ask: How many pointe shoes did you go through the night of the performance?

Oh gosh, I think just two but before my solo in Shades I really wanted to change because the shoes were dying but I didn't want to waste the energy. 🙈 I remember asking my husband backstage what I should do and he said "just keep it!" 😂

That’s the very first solo that she does in act 1 by the fire. The high priest is in love with her but she loves Solar. Very feminine solo.

Charles is right (of course)☺ that solo was my second favorite part of the ballet! So feminine and it felt really spiritual in that your love of dancing is to praise and worship God etc.
